They were expected by experts and pretty much everyone around the league to be last in the National League West division and one of the worst teams in baseball. However, instead they had other hopes for their team and went out to prove everyone wrong.
With outstanding starting pitchers with 4 guys having 10 wins or more, A bullpen with an ERA under 3, and players with heart and drive that came out everyday making great defensive plays and coming up big in offense when it mattered despite having a low team batting average.
The most important factor this year though-what made it such a magical season- was their infectious belief. They got so many on board with this team-so many believing...there's no way it's run out. They'll be back stonger next year with that same magic and chemistry.
