"Ohayo, Ami-chan!" A high, perky voice called. Amaris didn't move. Sati walked over to her and shook her. "Ami-chan, that's you!" she shouted. Amaris looked at Sati for a second then turned away. "Well, maybe you should ask, next time you nickname me." she murmured. "Why would I nickname you again~dechu?" Sati asked. "Look, Sati, I barely even know you. We met yesterday. None of my friends even know who you are. it's nice of you to give me singing lessons, and all, but maybe we should get to know each other before you nickname me. Where do you live, anyway?" Amaris sighed. "Oh, well, I live nearby~dechu." Sati's face flushed. "Oh! Don't tell me you live in the streets!" Amaris was shocked. "Well that's not-" Amaris cut her off. "Don't worry. You can be my bunk-mate. I dont have one. You'll love the other girls in our room. It's so fun!" Amaris raved. "That true~dechu?" Sati asked, genuinely curious. "I wish it were." Amaris said, but only in her head. Aloud she said, "Totally!" complete with a fake smile. On the walk to the Young Deadoll House for Girls, Amaris and Sati talked with each other. After a few moments of chat, Sati said,"Ya know, even though you say none of your friends know me, I did know Mika." Amaris froze. Sati could feel her face harden, fist clench. "Don't say that name in our room, or I'll be very sad." Amaris told her, not looking at her. "Nani~dechu?" Amaris assumed that meant what, so she turned to her. Sati saw no anger in her single green eye. "Because your my friend. And I don't want to see Bacia hurt you." she answered with a smile, real this time. Sati smiled, her face bright. Sati could jump with joy and jubilance. And soon, she was. Amaris giggled, then her giggle augmented into an overly audible laugh. Before long, the girls where rolling on the gray pavement with laughter and joy. Still laughing, Amaris stood and helped the giggling Sati up. Once she could stop laughing, she said, "C'mon, Sati, I'll show you our room."

"Ugh, could you be any slower?!" yelled a furious Akuji, pounding on the bathroom door. An enthusiastic Renee jumped up and down to get the sulking, black-clad Rati to smile. In the doorway, a shocked Sati stared as a flushed Amaris scractched the back of her head in embaressment. "It's crazy in here~dechu..." Sati gaped. "Well-" a nervous Amaris started, but Sati cut her off. "Not bad." Sati smiled. Amaris was shocked. Renee then noticed Sati, and leaped over. "Hi! You're short. How old are you?" Renee asked, genuinely curious. "I'm twelve~dechu." Sati answered, ignoring the height comment. "Oh," said Akuji, who'd given up on pounding on the bathroom door, "So you're a leprachaun?" Sati froze. She slowly turned her head towards Akuji, who had a smirk on her scarred face. Pure, unharnessed anger was in Sati's single orange eye. "WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME?!" she screamed. "Uh..." Akuji said, horrified as Sati aproached. Sati jumped on Akuji and started pulling on her jet black hair, trying to rip out its snow white streak. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!" Akuji screamed. "TAKE IT BACK! TAKE IT BACK~dechu!!!!!" Sati screamed over Akuji's cry of pain. "SATI! STOP!" yelled Amaris. Rati stood next to Renee. "Wow," started Renee, "She's crazy." Rati half-smiled. "She'll fit right in here." Rati said.

"Hey, Brone. I'm going back before my parents start looking again. I'll see ya." Adrian called from the doorway. "OK, later!" Brone called back. "Cool, bye." Adrian strolled over to his bike and swung his leg over the seat. Suddenly, Adrian heard a scream from the sky. Falling from the eighteenth floor, he saw a terrified, crying Amaris. He tossed his bike to her side and ran as fast as he could. He then caught Amaris in his arms. But she was still screaming, crying, and terrified. "Hey!" Adrian shouted, "You can stop screaming, now." Amaris opened her eyes, and blushed. "Why did you jump out the window?" Adrian raised his eyebrow. Amaris broke free of Adrian's grip, and turned away from him. "I didn't jump. Sati pushed me." she answered. "What? I don't get a thank you?" Adrian teased. "Whatever," Amaris noticed the bike, "Going somewhere?" Adrian turned away. "Nowhere in particular." he declared. Amaris sighed. "Whatever. It's not like I care." But before reentering the building, she turned and looked at him. What was with that boy anyway? There was definantly something strange about him, but Amaris couldn't figure out what. Yet, somehow, Amaris never seemed to stop thinking about him. Adrian noticed Amaris staring and said, "What?" Amaris blushed. "Nothing, jerk!"
