His Serbants Disturbed...

She was so agitated. It made her absolutely furious that her mother would disgrace herself as she did. By now the stories would have been all over London. The girl walked down the hill behind her house to the well where she pumped water every day her long red locks bouncing as she traveled. With an angry heave the water streamed into the bucket. "Is something wrong Maria?" She heard as a gentle hand came down on her shoulder. Maria flung herself around, Shocked at the sudden touch, to find a tall, brown-haired man wearing a brown cloak over his blue overalls. It was Daniel, the farm hand from down the road. Daniel lived next to Maria his entire life and there was but one thing that served to make maria this mad.....the stories. "Ever since i was but a wee girl, she's been telling me these stories about this.....this....angeland i thought that they were just make believe, ya know, for my entertainment, but as of late... She's been telling them to all of London!" She said strapped for breath. Daniel had heard them as well. The salvation of London resting on the shoulders of an angel with black wings. As soon as he should re-appear, despair would be no more and London would be returned to its former glory...or so Maria's mothers' words had spoken...

"All Englishmen think it to be witchcraft!" Baldroy yelled as he shook Mey-rin by the shoulders, "You could get yourself killed!" Mey-rin's eyes widened as the booming of his voice reached her ears. Baldroy spoke again only softer this time so as not to frighten her, "It's been nearly fifteen years now, don't you think it's time to let it go?" She took a step back and stared at the man in front of her, fear wasin her eyes. " How..how can you even say something like that!? You know as well as I that..." her statement was interrupted by the sound of Baldroy's voice "That what Mey-rin!? They're dead! They are both dead!" Dread and hurt replaced the fear in Mey-rin's eyes Baldroy rubbed the back of his neck desperately searching for the words of an apology, or comfort, or anythingto come to his lips. Ever since the dissapperaence of the Earl of Phantomhive, Mey-rin had simply dissmissed the thought of death. She could not Grasp the thought of her young master dying at such an age...and, of course, there was Sebastian who was never heard from since. To some degree she blamed herself. She was hired to protect the family and this is what became of them...but they were alive. In her mind they were still alive and it was up to her to find them at all costs. Baldroy knew that he should have never had said the things he said, but it was the truth. She had to realize it for herself sooner or later. It wasnt healthy for her to keep believing...to keep herself hidden in the past. The former chef felt Mey-rin's pain and with one swift movement, crossed the floor and wrapped his arms tightly around her. After a silent minute of warm embrace, Baldroy finally found the right words to say..."Mey-rin you silly goose, your cooking is overflowing."

That evening things were quiet around the dinner table. The only sounds were the clanging and clinking of their fork and spoons against the dishes. "I'll be back then," Mey-rin said to break the silence. She rose from her chair and proceeded towards the door. "Mom, Where are you going?" Maria asked as she finished her potato soup. Mey-rin turned to look her daughter straight in the face. She then held a steaming bowl of fresh soup out in front of her and said with a smile, " I have to feed Finny ya know. He always loved potato soup." As Mey-rin left the kitchen, Maria gave her father a worried glance. Baldroy returned the shocked gaze as he knew what they were both thinking. "There ya go Finny," Mey-rin said as she sat the bowl before him, "I hope you like it. i made it special." As she turned to leave a stiff wind started to blow. She stopped to let the breeze ruffle her hair, "You're welcome," she whispered. She left the scene unchanged, as always, only this time a bowl of soup sat at the foot of the granite tombstone.
God bless the Serbants......May they find peace after the loss of their loved ones....
