Drip, drop. Drip, drop. Mina sighed as the song of rain poured on her window. It was a chilly evening. She had on a large sweatshirt owned by her brother, Tony Mongoose. Her hair was tight in bun, as usual. Basically, this was her fashion. Tomboyish.
She was waiting for someone in particular to show up. Her friend JayCee the Dog was coming over. Another sigh excaped her, and she drew the outlines of him on the window that was fogged from the cold.
Him. That's all she thought about. It's all about him, him, him... She almost dozed off in her dreamland when the doorbell rung. It wasn't JayCee, though. Instead it was Scourge and Shadow. Shadow. The one that filled Mina's empty heart. The one she loved. The one she cared for.
The one she wanted.
"JayCee said that we should come," huffed Scourge. Mina nodded politly, avoiding Shadow's long, hard-yet-soft gaze.
Mina allowed the boys to come in. They taked for another good twenty minutes before JayCee came. She smiled and greeted Scourge and Mina in a friendly way, Shadow... not so much.
"You drew me?" the deep voiced question flooded shock through the younge mongoose. It was Shadow, looking at the detailed picture that didn't fog up just yet.
"I-I got bored," Mina blurted out, stammering. Shadow smiled. She was a terrible liar.
"Of course," he replied, with a bow of respect. That made her cheeks burn. She tried to act casual, asking if they'd want to rent a movie, but she was still stammering. They all agreed. Mina was releived; she needed time to herself, time to think, so she volenteered to go by herself. She almost growled when Shadow insisted he would. She argued and acted stubborn.
It seemed as if two seconds later, they were both in Shadow's car.
Mina has her arms crossed. She pouted. She moaned and groaned. She complained. Anything to make Shadow retreat would be nice. Yet he didn't. Damn. Well that ruined things.
"So, you got bored, and you drew me." A chuckle bounced in and out of Mina's ears.
"That's right," she snapped back.
A smirk slapped on his face. "Why me?"
"I don't know."
He growled. "There's a reason to everything, Mina..."
"Not to this."
"You're a terrible liar," he almost purred.
"No, I'm not."
"Did you draw me because--"
"Are you deaf? I drew you becasue I was bored."
"Yet it was so detailed and... realistic..."
She threw her hood up and snuggled into the seat. Whatever.
Right then the vehicle stops. Mina got out and, blinded by the rain, pokes the touch screen gingerly, looking for the movie we agreed on.
Warm hands touch Mina's shoulders. Again, Shadow. Will he ever leave me be? A shutter ran dow her spine when a whisper told the yellow mongoose, "Go back in the car where it's safe and warm."
Mina walked in the car and sat in the seat. With a voice like that, if he told her to jump off a cliff, she would and enjoy it. Mina watched him in the rain. She was uncontrollably in love with him. No doubt about it. Rain plummented down on him. He looked...
Cute.
She shook the thought away when the door opened. Shadow was soacked. He shook his fur, and drips of water splat against Mina's fur. "Hey," she giggled.
"There's the Mina I kniw, not the one who acts like she has fucking anger issues."
Mina had to smile.

Blood and guts poured from the television screen. Shadow and Mina were instensely into the horror movie, while JayCee and Scourge were... meh about it.
What made Mina flinched is that one of the people in the movie that got bit looked just like her dad.
Ouch. That hurts.
A lot.
Every time she flinched, ressuring arms would wrap around her, calm her. It made her think of her dad. How he'd do the same thing when she was scared.
Too bad he died.
(Mina Mongoose's dad died. Mine is fine. XD)
She snuggled closer. Closer, closer, closer, till fur brushed against each other. She didn't do that because she liked him, but because she thought of her dad and needed some support.
JayCee seemed discusted at Scourge. he was flirting probably. Oh well.
Wasn't her problen, now was it?
