Iblis and Holly were excited as usual when they hear their master play. He preformed three songs, two they knew well and one that was unfamiliar and quite long but exquisite nonetheless. He played his favorite Song by the Moonlight and Paradise quartet. He called the third song his Mystical Journey Serenade, and explained that it was something new and preformed in Jerusalem while they were off on a mission. Holly complained about how he’s never around when he debuts a new piece.

Yomi just told him to be patient and that there plenty more to come. Then went on to complain, thus reminding his men what their orders were. Holly apologized immediately saying he couldn’t help himself that hearing such fine music always made him giddy. However Iblis just stayed by the door, standing silently and didn’t approach, nonetheless the cover was blown, and it became perfectly evident that they were with him. Which annoyed Yomi somewhat but he was in much too good a mood to let it bother him or to draw out any thought for discipline, instead he just asked, “so did you get what I requested?”

“Oh yes, and good choices they are. This town has some goodies in it, here…” he said while bringing up a large bag apparently full of bundles of clothing, but Yomi stopped him. “Show me later.” Standing up he turned to a waitress, “my I be shown to my room now.”

He had rented the room along with his down payment for Tsuki the white, nothing too extravagant but suitable for a place to have a change of cloth. Holly showed him everything he bought, and explained it all in fine detail, and assuring that it was his size while Yomi felt the cloth with his fingers.

By the sound of it and the texture of the cloth, he approved.

“Alright well, just have this laid out and I’ll change into it when the time comes, but first there’s something I need to say.”

The two gathered around.

Yomi’s face was stern, calm, “I think I’m in love.”

Holly nearly fell through the floor. Iblis just stood ridged.

Holly hopping back up onto his nimble legs, “oh how… oh my… and whose the lucky babe?”

Yomi furled his brow and looked at him as though he thought he was stupid, “who do you think?” he said almost accusingly.

“Oh, but you hadn’t even met him yet.”

“Doesn’t matter, the pieces are all there, now I just have to see what he think of me.”

Holly and Iblis exchanged glances, both with concerned expressions on their faces. The master was serious; there wasn’t a sign of humor on him, which meant if he said he was in love that means he meant it.

Our boss, Yomi was in love?

“He said he liked my flowers, hand I’ve received nothing but good responses from him so far through the dolls. So I already feel that we get along, still though that was with minimal contact and with a great distance between us, so I don’t know, he might think differently once he meets me, and learns of my past, my reputation. It’s bad enough that I risk being recognized for my past in this town, but until that happens I don’t want him knowing who I am.”

It was understandable; the Demon Yomi had a generally bad reputation worldwide, and the reputation of the notorious Black Devil was even worse, a demon the locals say they were even more afraid of than they were of Mukuro. No doubt he had heard enough in his time here to develop quite distrust of someone like him.

“That is why I don’t want either of you to ever speak of who I am, not until it’s revealed. I’m going by my birth name here, I won’t be putting on any extravagant act to try and impress him. I will not be known as Yomi. That name I would like to see buried and put behind me. It’ll be revealed eventually just not right now.”

They nodded.

Sensing their movement, “good, so you understand. I want this to go smoothly.”

They did, and were willing to abide as he wished.

“Also Iblis I want you to prepare something for me.”

“Yes,” said the iblis.

“Go back to the camp and inform Adul that I want our friend to be good any ready when I call for him, and be sure he’s fixed up fair and proper. We want to leave a good impression if I’m to walk away from here a richer man.”
