When they arrived at the police station Detective Bell was waiting for them
'Captain, we have her in interview room 2 but she's refusing to speak to anyone.'
'That's why i brought him.' Sherlock made his way to the room. He went in and sat down in the chair opposite her.
'I never thought i'd see you in here Irene, you hardly ever get caught.' She quickly glanced at him then looked back down at the table. 'And your not one for kidnapping either. Where is she?.' She said nothing. 'Irene i know you were there, i could smell your perfume on Joan's pillows. The question is why were you there?.' She looked back up at him.
'Well my question is why didn't you come to London with me?.'
'Is that why you did it? Over some ticket?.'
'No.' She looked down at her lap.
'Then why? Help me understand.'
'I... can't.'
'Then i can't help you.' He got up to leave.
'Wait.' He sat back down. 'I'm sorry for what i did. I didn't think he would want me to go that far.'

'He's an old acquaintance. I used to jobs for him awhile back then one day he got in touch, said he needed my services.'

'Made me fake my death.' Sherlock thought for a moment then he realized something.
'Were you working for him when you were with me?.' Irene nodded. 'Why didn't you say something?.'
'I couldn't.' Sherlock got up and started to pace back and forth across the room.
'So that's were the money came from. I always wondered how you always had all this money even when you didn't have a job.'
'He only payed me a high amount as a guarantee that i wouldn't screw things up and to keep me quite.'
'You still could have said something. We could have run away.'
'It wouldn't have made a difference, He'd have found us one way or another.'
'Then i would have given myself up to save you.' Irene looked at him surprised.
'Why?.'
'Because i was so in love with you back then that i would have done anything to protect you. But those days are over and i'm begging you Irene, help me find her.'
After ten minuets, they arrived at the address Irene gave them. The swat team got into their positions and were waiting Gregson signal.
'Hold your positions. Ok Holmes you know this could be a decoy?.'
'I know but it's the only lead we've got and there could be a chance that she's in there.'
'Your call. Go!' The swat team burst in quickly followed by Sherlock and Gregson. They searched every room but they couldn't find anything.
'All clear sir!.'
'It can't be. Gregson she has to be here, she has to be.'
'Holmes they've searched all the rooms.' Sherlock shook his head.
'No... no....'
'Captain!.' Gregson went over to the officer who handed a disc. 'We found this in the back room.'
They went back out to the surveillance van to watch the disc. Gregson stuck in the player and Joan came up on the screen, She looked tired and bruised.
'Help me. Please Sherlock, I'm so scared. I don't think i can last much longer. I don't even why their letting me do this. I want you to know that i believe in you and i know you'll find me, just promise me you won't give up. Please don't give up on me Sherlock. Please. I love you.'
Gregson looked at Sherlock then told everyone else to leave the van.
'Holmes?.'
'They've hurt her.' Gregson looked down at his hands, they were clenched. 'They've hit her.'
'Holmes, just calm down.' He stormed out the van. 'Where are you going?.' He didn't answer him. He went back into the flat to search some more. He found the room with the radiator in it, this is where they kept her. He examined it but couldn't find anything. He couldn't help but imagine Joan handcuffed to it, all battered and bruised. He had to find her soon. He made his way out and found Gregson waiting by his car.
'You ok?.'
'I'm fine. I just went upstairs to examine the radiator but there's nothing there. They must have cleaned up any evidence, it was pretty damp.'
'Holmes maybe you should go home. We'll keep looking here.'
'As much as i appreciate your concern, i'd like to stay here. This closest we've been to finding her and i don't want the police to miss anything that could be of vital importance.'
