It's Complicated Chapter Thirty Four
Lila's POV
"What exactly did Jake and Sam say about what happen," I asked curiously, "do you know why I got beat up?!"
"They warned you! You should have not pestered them," Billy said.
"Billy," I practically scream, "I was trying to save Embry's life! They were beating him up because he wanted out! He had already helped me; I was returning a favor! I did not know it was going to be this bad."
"Lila, keep your voice down," he demanded, "I do not want this getting to your sister!"
"She does not know," Jasper asked shocked.
"Of course not; she has been here for fifteen minutes," he said, "would you just stay, so we could be a family?"
"Be a family without me," I said, "I am moving out."
"You're what," Ella asked as she came to my room, "why?!"
"Get Jake's side of the story," I stated, "because I know you will believe them over me!"
I grabbed a suitcase and started throwing stuff in there. I had tears in my eyes as I packed. Billy and Ella had left the room.
"Lila, are you sure you want to do this," Jasper asked as I cut him off.
"I understand you and your family do not want me living with you all; but do not worry, I will find somewhere else to go," I said.
"Lila, no you can live with us! I just hate for you do anything while you are upset," he stated, "I do not want you doing anything you will regret."
"Thank you, Jasper, for looking out for me. I really appreciated it. I just do not think that this would be something to regret," I said as I sat down, "I do not want to live in fear every day, not knowing if Jacob is going to hurt me or whatever!"
"Okay, if this is what you want, I fully support you," he said as he hugged me.
I wrapped my arms around him and dried up my tears.
"Jacob Black," I heard Ella exclaim, "how could you?"
"What do you need help with," he asked.
"I need that picture frame by my bed," I said.
"Okay, here you go," he said as he handed it to me.
"This was my first family," I said, "my real mom, dad, and brother!"
"Everything will be okay," Jasper stated, "it's just complicated right now!"
"I know," I shrugged.
I grabbed my stuff and then Jasper and I walked out of my room.
"I just looked at them and walked out of the door. I did not have anything to say to them. They disappointed me, especially Billy.
I got into Jasper's car and we left the Blacks' house. It was no longer [i]my[i/] house. Which was kind of sad but I had to move on.
"Lila, I just want to tell you that I am here for you no matter what," Jasper said suddenly.
"Thank you," I said as my eyes teared up.
I carried a backpack while Jasper carried an actually suitcase. I still could not walk on this stupid leg of mine. I was going up the stairs and tripped. I threw the crutches down forcefully and just started walking. Those things were driving me insane.
"Hey kids," Alice said, "where did you two go?"
"My use-to-be house," I stated as I saw Jasper signing behind me, "but I am going to take this to my room while Jasper tells you the whole story!"
"Is that okay," he signed.
"Sure, why not," I shrugged.
I went to my room to sit the suitcase and the backpack down on my bed.
"Lila, are you okay," Esme asked.
"Yes ma'am; I understand that I cannot live here for ever. But as soon as I get a job and enough money, I will go somewhere else.
"Lila, you are welcomed to stay here as long as you like," she said sweetly.
"Awe, thank you so much," I exclaimed.
"Well, I am heading to bed, goodnight Lila, love you," Esme said smiling.
"Thank you, goodnight, I love you too," I said.
I laid on my bed as she left my room. I started quietly crying to myself.
I heard a knock on my door. I quickly dried up my tears as I looked to see who it was. It was Jasper.
"Are you okay," he signed.
"Somewhat," I signed back.
"Everything will be alright; tomorrow is a new day," Jasper signed smiling.
"True," I said.
"Well, I am heading to bed; see ya tomorrow morning," he signed.
"Goodnight," I signed back.
The next morning we were sitting in the school parking lot talking when Jacob came up.
"What could he want," I asked signing.
"I do not know," Jasper signed.
"There is only one way to find out," I said aloud.
