I sat there on a small bull; bracing myself for what was fixing to happen. I pushed my hat down on my head, so it would stay on.
I thought through every little detail I saw on tv. How his legs were positioned, were his arms and legs were at when the bull jumped, or twirled around.
"Just hang on," Bryce's friend, Timothy said.
I looked over at Abigail and the boys standing by the edge of the fence. They all had out there phones; I guess they were taking pictures or videoing what would happen.
"I'm ready," I said as I took a deep breath.
I was not scared at all, I was just preparing myself in case I held my breath.
He open the chute and the bull went flying out. I held on tight with my left hand while my right hand was up above my head. The bull twirled and spun in circles as I sat on his back.
"You can let go anytime," someone yelled.
In a way, I was all most too scared to let go. As fast as this bull was going, I did not want to hit the dirt going this fast. But I did anyways. I hit the ground with a thud as I heard Abigail gasp. Good thing I had changed into blue jeans. Bad news, I ripped a big hole in the knee of my jeans. I stood up quickly and looked for the bull. He was on the other side of the fence but I made my way over to chute pretty quick.
"How did it feel," Bryce asked as I climbed up.
"It was alright. I think I need to try it a couple of more times," I said.
"Really," he asked shocked.
I just nodded my head.
"Harmony, have you ever ridden a bulled before," TImothy asked.
"No sir," I said.
"She rode her first horse just the other day," Bryce added.
"Wow," Timothy said disbelief as I gave him a puzzled look, "you act like you have ridden before."
"You know, she is the same way with horses," Bryce said, "I believe this is a God given talent!"
"I agree," Timothy said.
"How come the boys don't right," I asked.
"They don't really like bull ridin'," Bryce said.
"Oh okay," I shrugged.
Riding a bull was a pretty big task. I was riding an animal that I cannot control and is probably four to five times my weight! It was incredible; I mean to ride something like that and live through it. I was in shock; I had to be.
"Ready to go again," Clay teased as he came over to us.
"Sure am," I said.
"You're joking," he asked as he lightly punched me in the shoulder.
"Not at all," I said, "was it not any good?"
"No, it was great for a first ride," he stated, "I honestly, didn' think you would like it."
"That's odd," I said.
"Ready," Timothy asked.
"That's my cue," I laughed.
"Be careful," he asid.
"Will do," I smiled.
I hopped back on that bull and got ready. Clay had gone over to Bryce and Timothy and started talking to the.
"I'm ready," I smiled.
Clay was probably the most accepting out of all the brothers. You could just tell he really accepted me into the family right as I arrived. It was almost too good to be true.
Speaking of too good to be true, I knew I would not stay on as long as last time. He had bucked me off fairly quick due to the fact I was not paying attention. I hit the ground with hard thud and quickly curled into a ball when I saw the bull's shadow. I knew there would be no time to run and it would be useless. I took the first hit, he had hit me hard enough to send me across the ground. As I took a secound hit, I heard a high pitch scream. No doubt that it was Abigail's.
I stayed in that position for a few more seconds and some of the boys yelling. I unwraped my arms from my head and got up to see where the bull had gone. He was on the other side of the fence in another one.
All the sudden everyone raced over to me to see if I was alright. I felt fine but I knew I would be sore and would have a lot of bruises.
"Harmony, are you okay," Abigail asked.
I moved my shoulders, neck, arms, and legs.
"I feel fine," I said shrugging.
"Man, what a hit! Good thing we have that on video," Dustin laughed a little.
"I need to get back on," I said without thinking, "otherwise, I will never get back on!"
"Maybe you should give it a rest," Bryce said.
"No, it's now or never," I said.
