I snuck out the front door at exactly 3. Luckily, Isaiah was already here. I had mention Lance I was going to a rodeo but I didn't tell anyone else. I knew Bryce would say no since I got into a fight with Finn. I wouldn't dare ask him. He would be super mad since girls aren't suppose to fight. But hey, I have 4 brothers, so it is going to happen some time or another.
I jumped in the truck and looked over at Isaiah, his mouth was wide open.
"Careful, a fly might get in there." I said laughing.
"What in the world happened to you?" he asked shocked.
"I got into argument with Finn this morning." I stated.
"Alright. Did you tell them you were going with me?" He asked.
"Uh yeah." I said.
"Okay, so what was the argument over? He asked prying.
"Why do you wanna know?" I asked.
"Well it had to be some argument for your lip to end up looking like that!" Isaiah said.
"I don't want to talk about it." I stated.
"Okay. How's your horse? Still wild as everything?" He asked as he looked out the road.
"I don't want to talk about him either." I said as I looked out the passenger window.
That stupid horse could jump fences. Why could he not run and jump away from the coyotes? He was so smart. He was wild before and stayed away from them. Did I really domesticate him that much?
I felt my phone buzz and it was Clay calling me. I ignored his call.
"So, what did you do today?" I asked trying to make this long car ride short.
"Not much. Just been preparing for the rodeo." He smiled.
"Preparing? As in thinking of a way beat me?" I teased.
"In your dreams!" Isaiah laughed. "This is a stiff completion."
"Okay, tell me about my opponents. Starting with you." I demanded.
"You'll see em. But they will try and distract you from riding. You're a girl..." He said.
"Well of course I am girl." I said laughing. "There is no doubt about it."
"No, they are going to try and get you mind away from bull riding. They will flirt with you. Just stay away from Johnny." He informed me.
"Why? Who's Johnny?" I asked confused.
"Most the girls at school are head over heels for this guy. He gets what he wants out of girls and then dumps them." Isaiah stated. "He is going to be into you since you are a bull rider and girl. I don't think any guy around here has meet a girl that can bull ride."
"Okay." I said kind of skeptical.
"Look just do that for me. Okay?" He asked.
"For you?" I asked.
"If you don't want to stay away from him on your own will then please stay away from him as a favor to me." Isaiah said almost begging.
"Okay." I said.
"Where were you Wednesday night? I didn't see you or Clay." He asked curiously.
"Well, we were on our way to church. But we stopped on the side of the road." I said.
"Why is that?" He asked as he glanced at me.
This was getting uncomfortable.
"He was showing me how to get saved." I mumbled.
"So you accepted Jesus as your Savior?" He asked.
"Yeah." I mumbled.
"That is great! I have been prayin' for you." He said as he smiled at me.
"Uhh, thanks." I said.
"Don't be embarrassed." He said as he gave me a smile.
"So, are we almost there?" I asked.
"Almost." Isaiah confirmed as my phone buzzed again.
This time it was Tucker calling. But I hit the ignored button again.
"So who keeps calling you that you are ignoring?" He asked curiously.
"Nobody." I said.
"is it a boy? Is he harassing you?" He asked concerned.
"I can defend for myself. But no I don't know any guys that would do that." I said as I blushed a little bit.
"Well, by the look of your face. It didn't work so well." He said as he tried not to laugh.
"Ha ha!" I said after I stuck my tongue out at him.
We finally pulled up the venue. It was huge. The length of the place was impressive.
"Whoa! I don't know if I can compete here." I mumbled to myself.
"Why not?" He asked as he got out of the truck.
"This is going to be big crowd. I can barely ride in front of Clay and a man I barely know. Much less a 100 people or so." I gulped.
"You'll do fine! Wanna help me get my horse out?" He asked.

Isaiah's POV
"Sure!" Harmony beamed happily.
I went to the front of trailer to get the tack while Harmony went to the door to get my horse. As I came around to Harmony, I could here her talking to the horse.
"Aren't you a good boy! You're going to win today aren't ya." She cooed as I leaned against the trailer. "You won't be scare. You're use to being in the spot light."
"Thanks for giving him a pep talk! I think he really needed that." I said.
"Isaiah! Harmony gasped. "How long were you standing there?"
"Long enough." I said smiling.
"Could I saddle him and warm him up?" She asked hopeful.
"Sure; I will go check us in." I said.
"You already registered me?" She asked surprised.
"Yeah, I did." I said.
"How did you know I would come?" She asked.
"Well you haven't passed up a rodeo yet." I said smiling.
"Right." She laughed.
I went back to the truck to grab our registration papers.
"Oh, I need you to sign here." I said.
"Okay. Wait, don't I need an adult to sign this?" She asked worriedly.
"Yeah, don't worry. I've got that covered." I said.
"Who signed it?" She asked curiously.
"Just don't worry bout it." I stated.
"Alright." Harmony said as she shrugged her shoulder.
I came back to the truck and Harmony was off riding my horse in the side field. My phone started buzzing and it was Clay. I wonder what he wants.
"Hey man, what's up?" I asked as I answered the phone.
"By any chance, is Harmony with you?" He asked.
"Of course." I said. "What's wrong?"
"Thank you Lord! She went missing around 3 and we haven't been able to get a hold of her." he stated as he sounded relieved.
"I picked her up at 3. Harmony said she told y'all she was coming with me." I stated as he sighed.
"I guess she didn't tell dad because she was scared she was going to be in trouble." He said.
"Yeah, what happened to her?" I asked worried. "Between her and Finn?"
"It's a long story. Man, she is going to be in a heap of trouble when she gets back." Clay informed me.
"From who? You or your dad?" I asked almost laughing.
"From me! I think Lance told dad where she was at but I had no idea." he said.
"What does it matter if you know? Your dad knew, big deal." I stated.
"She just needs protecting. Okay?" He said. "Keep those guys away from."
"I'll do my best. But I will be gone for a few minutes." I laughed.
"Isaiah this is no joke!" Clay said angrily. "She doesn't know how evil people can be."
"I think she knows more about that than you do." I said. "Relax, I have told her just to stay away from the guys. They are going to try and distract her anyways."
"Well, I honestly think they won't be able to do that." Clay said.
"Okay, I gotta go. Talk to ya later." I said.
"Thanks again." Clay said as he hung up.
I got off the phone as Harmony came walking up with the horse.
"When were you going to tell me you snuck away from your parents?" I asked.
"What?" She asked shocked.
"You heard me. Are you going to explain yourself?" I asked.
"I told Lance so technically I told them." She said bitterly.
"Well, Clay just called me. He has been worried sick about you!" I informed her.
"So?" She said as if she didn't care.
I watched her dismount from my horse.
"You don't realize how much he loves you, do you?" I ask.
"I guess I just can't fathom how much he or anyone loves me." She said as she looked at my horse. "Believe it or not, but people who love me and care for me... It is all new to me."
"Well you better get use to it." I said smiling.
"I guess so." She said as she grinned.
"You really like horses don'tcha?" I asked.
"Yeah, I do." She smiled.
"Are you going to tell me what all happened this morning?" I asked prying. "You won't tell me about Midnight Moon or the fight between you and Finn. You barely told me about Wednesday night."
"Right. How much time do we have before the rodeo?" She asked
"I think we have time." I said. "Why don't we go to concession stand and grab some food. You can tell me over dinner."
"Fine." She said as she tied the horse to the trailer.
