Flight 29 Down Chapter 8
Sorry if there are mistakes!! I am writing on my iPod because my computer cord broke!
I slipped my converses off and socks. I rolled my pants up to my knees. I jumped up on the tree. It was the kind that curved.
Cassidy, don't do this. You are going to get hurt. Stephan said.
Just hearing him say my name made my heart skip a beat.
Yep. I said as I grabbed onto the tree.
My arm was in the sling so it made it a little bit harder to climb.
How are you climbing with one are? Stephan asked.
I ignored Stephan and continued to climb.
I moved my hand up and pushed up with my feet. I did that over and over.
I looked down and saw that I was half way up.
Jackson and Stephan were both watching me as I climbed higher and higher.
I got to the top and looked down. 
Do you see anything? Jackson asked.
No; we are on a deserted island. I said. 
Right. Jackson said.
I tugged on a coconut; it came off. 
Heads up. I said as I threw it down. 
Jackson just smiled as he picked it up.
Do you think it is any good? I asked.
Yeah. Can you get the rest? Jackson asked.
Yep; not a problem! I said.
I tugged on the others and let them fall to the ground. It was tiring climbing up there with one arm and then tugging on all the coconuts. I climbed more than half way down and than jumped. I didn't feel like climbing the whole way down so I jumped.
We gathered up the coconuts and headed back to the camp. 
Where did you learn to climb like that? Stephan asked.
It's a secret. I said.
Why? JAckson asked.
It is sort of imbarrassing. I said.
They both just looked at me weirdly. 
Come on Cassidy; I have know you for a long time. Tell me. Jackson said.
I have known you for a couple of years and no. I said.
Cass; you can tell me. Stephan said in a pureswading tone.
My heart skipped a beat. He gave me a nickname...weird.
I took a deep breath. 
No. I said and walked beyond them. 
I didn't want them to know that my parents were circus freaks or that I use to be one. They dropped me off when I was just 10 years old. They said that they didn't want me to grow up and be like them. They wanted a better life for me. Yeah look what I got stuck with!  
I dopped the coconuts off by the cooler and than went and laid down in the tent.
I took the sling off and let my arm hang down. I thought slings were for elbows. 
You need to keep yourself hydrated. Stephan said as he came into the tent with a water bottle.
No thanks. I am not thirsty. I said.
Drink so you don't get dehydrated. Stephan said.
I am not thirsty. I said and turned to lay on my stomach.
It hurt my stomach but I didn't like laying on my back.
Where did you get all the cocnuts? Dailey asked someone.
Cassidy climbed a tree and got them. I just helped carry them back. Stephan said.
But I thought she was hurt. Dailey said.
Yeah; but she managed to climb up there and get these coconuts. Stephan said.
She can't be hurt that bad if she climbed and tree and got them. Dailey said. 
She is in the tent and is laying down. Stephan said.
She is sleeping? SHe should be out here doing her job. Dailey said.
Dailey; she is hurt; giver her a break. Stephan said.
Not if is she climbed a tree. Dailey said.
It's her fault that she is hurt. Cassidy should be working. Dailey said madly. 
Well; you can go get her up and make her work. Stephan said.
Fine; I will. Dailey said.
I heard the tent zipper being unzipped.
Cassidy, you need to be doing your fair share of work. Dailey said.
I just played sleep.
Cassidy, wake up? Dailey said as she put a hand on my bad shoulder.
Ugh. I groaned.
Get up! Dailey demanded.
No. I said as I grabbed the water bottle that Stephan gave me and took a sip.
You have to do your fair share of work so you can get your fair share of food and water. Dailey said. 
I just stared at her for a few minutes and than she stalked out of the tent. 
I started laughing a little bit. 
Jackson! I heard Dailey scream. 
Oh my! I said as I looked over at Stephan.
Dailey if we work her to hard she could get a fever or something. Go easy on here. Jackson said.  
Get some rest. I am 99% sure that Jackson won't cave in. Stephan said with a smile. 
I smiled and turned back on my stomach.
Do you want to put some cold water on you stomach and shoulder? Stephan asked. 
I shrugged my good shoulder. 
It would probably help the swelling go down. Stephan said.
Stephan came over and started wetting one of the bandanas. He wrapped the first one around my my shoulder and than laid one across my stomach. 
Can you grab my cd player out of my bag? I asked. 
Sure. Stephan said. 
Thanks. I said. 
No problem. Stephan said. 
I slipped the head phones on and played music.
Jackson and Stephan came into the tent when I was about to go to sleep. I looked over at them. 
Good your up. Jackson said. 
I am now. I said. 
Lex is going to feel your shoulder to see if it is broke or something. Stephan said. 
Maybe in a few days it will quit hurting. I said.
We don't want to take chances. Jackson said. 
But Lex is like 10. How will he know what it is suppose to feel like? I asked. 
He's smart. Stephan said. 
Thank you Captin Obvious. I said sarcasticly. 
Anytime. Stephan said. 
I don't want him to. I said. 
Cassidy come on. You don't have to act tough for us. Jackson said. 
I'm not acting. I said. 
Just let him look at your shoulder. Jackson said demanding. 
No. I said. 
He is going to look at your shoulder whether you like it or not. Jackson said. 
Do you really want it to get worse? Stephan asked. 
No but I don't trust any of them. I mean look at me and Eric. I have only seen him once today and that was when I was beating him up. I said. 
Cassidy quit being so stubborn and just let Lex look at your shoulder. Stephan said annoyed. 
Fine. I said as glared a them both. 
They both walked out of the tent. 
This is so retarded. I thought to myself.
Everyone was practicly in my tent. 
Okay everyone beside Lex and Jackson get out of the tent. 
Everyone left besides Stephan. 
Stephan leave! I demanded. 
Cassidy please. Stephan begged. 
If I caved in he would know that I like him but than again he might not. 
No. I said. 
Jackson? Stephan asked. 
Just make her not focus on the pain. Jackson said.
I could not help but roll my eye. This was THE dumbest idea that Jackson has EVER had. 
I sat up and crossed my legs Indian style. Stephan sar down in front. I closed my eye and took a deep breath. I felt a cold hand touch my shoulder, and a lot of pain that followed. 
Cassidy. Stephan said. 
Hmm? I asked. 
Are you okay? Stephan asked. 
Mmm hmm. Why? I asked. 
Because Lex isn't touching you shoulder any more. Stephan said. 
It feels like he still is. I said as I opened my eyes.
Are you still in pain? Lex asked. 
Yes. I said.
Lets see what we can give you. Jackson said. 
He walked out of the tent and Lex followed him.
I need some fresh air. I said as I got up. 
Stephan grabbed my water bottle and followed me.    
I went and found a tree that was facing the beach. I sat against and stared at the ocean.
Should I feel scared about being here since the other girls are scared? I asked Stephan as he sat down.
I don't know. Why would you feel scared? Stephan asked. 
I don't know. Everyone has something to go back to except for me. I said. 
I think after this you will always have something back home. Stephan said. 
Cassidy? Stephan? Jackson yelled.  
Where over here. Stephan yelled back. 
Jackson came over and handed me the medicine. Stephan handed me my water bottle. I quickly swallowed the pills. 
Back to work. I said as I got up. 
You need to rest. Jackson said. 
I'll be fine besides I did that to annoy the crap out of Dailey. I said with a smile. 
I figured that. Jackson said. 
What are your jobs? I asked as I stood up.  
Make sure you do your job. Jackson said. 
That's a great job. I said. 
To help you. Stephan said.
Sweet I'm not on my own. I said as I headed for the tent.
I went to the tent to empty my pack out. I put everything in Jackson pack.
What are you doing? Stephan asked. 
I am empting my pack. I said. 
I can see that but why? Stepan asked. 
So I can put coconuts in there. I said. 
So we can carry twice as many. Stephan said. 
Sure. I was thinking that we could just put them in there and than we wouldn't have to carry anything. I said. 
Slacker. Stephan said. 
More like a procastinador. I said as I put my sling on.  
Stephan just laughed as we left. 
How come you so good at climbing? Stephan asked.
Spehan! I groaned. 
Come on I won't tell anyone. Stephan said. 
Not even Jackson. I said.
