Scarlet Malone Chapter 40

What's wrong? How come you are not at school? I asked worried.
I am at school; just a different one. Jesse said.
What?! Why?! I asked.
Well since I live so close to La Push they made me go to school here. Jesse said as pain came into his vioce.
No! What am I going to do for a friend now? I asked.
I will still be your friend. Come pick me up after school. Jesse said.
Okay. I have to go. I bet Matthew is waiting for me. I said in discust.
Who is Matthew? Jesse asked.
My wizard teacher. I said annoyed at the fact that I had a teacher.
Oh right. Bye. Jesse said and hung up.
I walked out of the bathroom and of course Matthew was there.
Did you have a nice conversation? Matthew asked.
Quit ease dropping. I said as I walked to class.
The halls where empty which ment I was late for my first class.
Right see you at lunch. Matthew said.
Maybe. I said as I open the door to the class room.
Scarlet Malone? The teacher asked.
Here. I said as I walked down to the last seat in the back.
Your late! The teaher said.
No you are just really early. I said.
Right. The teacher said as he turned to the chalk board.
I searched minds and found Edward's. It was getting easier and easier to find his thoughts.
Poor Scarlet! She doesn't even realize that we are trying to help. She can be selfish at time but she just doesn't mean too. Scarlet just has
it sort of ruff. She is in so much pain about her mother dieing. I hope that she can get better. Hopefully she won hurt herself too much. Bella held my hand and squeezed it. Edward thought.
I had to quit listening after that. I should be paying attion to the teacher.
I listen to him for 5 minutes and than the bell rang.
I went to class and than it was time for lunch. I stuck my headphones on and started listen to music.
I grabbed a tray and start walking down the line of food.
I sat down in my regular spot. I wish Jesse was here and was sitting next to me. I out my jacket on my his chair so hopefully no one would sit there.
Matthew came and sat in front of me. I stared at my food while I ate.
All the sudden my music went off. I glared at Matthew. I knew exscatly what he was trying to do.
What is your problem? I asked.
I have tried being nice to you and it hasn't worked. I guess I am gonna try the oppsite of that. Matthew said.
Why are you even here? I asked.
You know the answer to that. Matthew said.
Who sent you? I asked.
My father. Matthew said.
Do I know him or something? I asked confused.
No. I am his first born son. Matthew said.
So. I am the first and only stupid daughter of my dad. I said.
Well every first born son is sent to a girl at the age of 17 to teach them about their powers. He whispered.
And your father picked me? Wow he must have had somthing out for you. I said smiling mischieviouly.
No, he picked you because he thought that you would be perfect for me to teach. He picked you out of tons of girls. Matthew said laughing.
But why me? I asked confused.
Because I know what you have been through and he sent me to help you with your powers and to help you with your problems. Matthew said.
What about the guys? Who teaches them? I asked.
Their father unless they have died than one choosen girl will be asked force to go. Matthew said.
What about Jesse? I asked worried.
Well that is why he is at La Push. He will meet his tutor today. Matthew said.
Oh. I said.
When do you want to get started? Matthew said.
Tonight after I come home from Jesse's. I said.
Okay that will work. Matthew said as he changed the food on his tray.
Woha I need to learn that spell pronto. I said smiling.
What would you like? Matthew asked.
A choclate milkshake! I said.
Okay. Matthew said.
No wip cream or cherry. I said smiling.
Chocolate shake no wip no cherry. Matthew said as he tapped his hand with his wand.
Cool! I said as Matthew handed me my milkshake.
Never to masic in public unless you back is turned and you sitting in a corner. Matthew said.
Okay. You have a very cool wand. I said as I took a sip.
Yep if I get bored with this color, I can change it. Matthew said.
I need to learn that! My wand is ugly! I said.
Matthew started eating again.
How long are you here for? I asked nicely as possible.
I could he hear a year or more. Matthew said.
But what about your family? I don't want to ruins yours. Trust me you don't want to ruin it. I said.
It won't. My family is strong. Matthew said.
Good for you. I said.
The bell rang and it was time for class, sadly.
I felt lie skipping but I knew I couldn't skip the first day of class. I knew if dad found out, I would be in a lot of trouble. Matthew would probably get mad at me too along with the Cullens. But how was I suppose to go through a whole day of school without see or talking to my best friend? How come there could not be four wizards at one school and how come he couldn't stay here?
School was finially over and I went to my car and got in. I sped to La Push high school. I turned into the parking lot and kids stared as I drove past. I saw Jesse and I pulled over beside him and unlocked the doors.
Jesse! I yelled as he open the door.
Jesse laughed a got in.
What's up? Jesse asked.
I hate school without you and I got a wand today! I said as I turned around in the school parking lot.
Yep I agree! I got a wand too! Jesse said excitedly as he pulled his wand out.
No fair! You and Matthew have cooler wands! I complained as I pulled my wand out.
It's not that bad. Jesse said with some sypathy.
Yeah right it's like Harry Potter took over! I said laughing.
Jesse started laughing. Your right! Jesse said as he laughed.
I don't think I have ever seen you laugh so hard. I said as I tried to keep a straight face.
You are so lucky to go to school a mile from the beach! I said as we got out of the car.
Not really, it doesn't help with the skipping. Jesse said.
Yeah but you have some where to go when you skip. I said convincing.
True but the place where I spray painted is always going to be the place. Our place. Jesse said.
True but to bad it is dangerous in those woods. I said.
Yeah, it is a lot safer here. Jesse said.
When are you getting to learn spells and stuff? I asked.
Right after I get done here. Jesse said.
Same. I said as we sat down on a log.
Jesse is our friendship going end? I asked.
No I don't think so. Why? Jesse asked shocked.
Because we don't go to the same school and we won't get to see each other as much. I said.
I know we won't get to see each other much but it will work out. Jesse said.
I hope so. I said as I sighed.
Where is your car? I asked.
Well, Charlotte is using it. JEsse said.
They are back? I asked.
Yeah they are going to take off next month a little bit longer. Jesse said.
Oh okay. I said.
I should get home. Can you drive me? Jesse asked.
Sure no problem. I said as we got up.
We got into the car and got to the 4 way stop before you go straight and go into Forks. I looked both ways and than went on. All the sudden everything went black....
