A Girl Named Lacey Chapter Five
We got to the new house and unloaded everything. It didn't take long to unpack but Lacey was on the verge of falling asleep. I watched her as she took a box up to her new room. She went to the bed and laid down.
Lacey was a kind,(when she wasn't mad) gentle, and caring person. Her blue eye sparkled when she got excited and would darken when she was mad. Her hair was blonde. It was so pretty. I hated to see what high school brought. She would probably be asked out and would hopefully say "no". Everyone left and I was to stay here and watch after Lacey. It wouldn't be much longer till we were going to be fully moved in. Lacey and I would start out as Sophmore, Alice, Jasper, Rose, and Emmett would start out as Juniors. Esme didn't want to make Lacey start high school all over so we kept her in her real grade.I didn't want Lacey to be alone in grade so I decided that I would also start out at her grade. I didn't want her to be alone. When we usually go into a new highschool year, no one ever talks to us. People talk behind our backs, never to our faces. I am sure a human would find this hurtful but vampires don't really care, it's better for us to keep the secret and not kill anyone.
Jasper was still a little new, he had a hard time every now and than with Lacey. But he was getting a lot better.
I could hear my phone ringing down stairs. I went down stairs to answer it.
Hey Alice. I said.
We will be bringing more stuff to the new house in a little bit. She said.
Okay, see you then. I said.
Alice hung up.
I had a ton of time to kill and didn't know how to spend it.
A couple of hours later
Carisle, Esme, Alice, Jasper, Emmett, and Rose showed up with the rest of the stuff from the old house. We unloaded everything from the cars and put it into the house.
We finished unpacking everything. The sun was starting rise when Lacey woke up. She came down stairs yawning.
Woha we moved and I barley had to do anything. Lacey said.
So is that a good thing? Emmett asked.
Yes and no. I didn't have to do anything but than again we moved. She said.
She sat down on the couch and watched tv.
When do we start school? She asked.
A couple of days. Esme said.
Mom can't you walk normal like a human, you always did it when I didn't know what you were. She said.
Sorry honey. Esme said.
Maybe we should change her. Emmett said.
Then everyone would normal. Rose chirped.
Rose, I am the normal one! Lacey said.
Out in the world you might be but when you come home you're the odd ball. Rose said.
Jasper came into the room and sat down by Lacey. He usually sat across the room from her. By reading Jasper's thoughts, I could see that Rose had hurt Lacey's feelings.
Rose, apologize to Lacey. I ordered in a whispered.
Not a chance. She said out loud.
I watched Lacey get up, she put her rain boots on and grabbed a umbrella. She walked out the door and went towards town.
Rose, Lacey is human, she can't fight you when she gets mad like Emmett and Jasper. Lacey has feeling and they have been more sensetive lately. Carisle said.
She'll come back, she just needs to vents. Emmett said.
Esme looked worried but she was always worried about Lacey especially when she was upset.
I got up and headed for the door, I didn't want Lacey going alone in this new town.
Edward it is probably better if you let her go alone. Carisle said.
No one understood what I was going through. I love Lacey so much and yet she barley loves me at all. I couldn't hug her or kiss her on the forhead and tell her that it will be okay.
I will have to wait. I can wait and I will.
