I Just Might Be Next Chapter Nineteen
Sam's POV
I woke up from my nap and didn't know where Mattie was. Which scared me a little bit. I quickly got up and went into the woods to phase. As I did so, I saw she was having another one of her ringing ear thing.
When I go there Mattie was laying on the ground with her paws over her ears. There was a vampire laying down by Mattie covering his ears too. I called for back up, just incase this got out of hand.
I phased as the other wolfs got here.
Mattie are you okay? I asked.
She whimpered so either that was a yes or a no. There was two women sitting beside the vampire on the ground. The leader of the vampires looks confused as of what is happening.
What happen? I asked as I went over to the leader, Carisle.
We were hunting and we saw a vampire so we went to tell him he has to get out of here if he is going to kill people. We found the wolf like that when we chased it over the line. Then Edward was reading the wolf's mind and colasped to the floor. Carisle said.
He can read minds? I asked.
Yes. He nodded.
If you just get him away from Mato he will be fine. And the vampire? I asked.
Oh right. I got three people watching the fire burn. He said.
Okay, I am going to send two wolves that away just incase. I said.
He nodded his head in understandment.
Paul and Seth go watch the fire with the other vampires. I demanded.
What's wrong with Edward? A women asked.
This is my sister Mato, she has this condition, not the right word. She has this ringing in her ears when she is near a vampire or vampires. If Edward can read her mind then he has to be feeling the pain of the ringing. I said.
What do we do to make it stop? A small girl asked.
Simply take him away from reading her mind. I said.
All the sudden Mattie gets up and is on top of Edward who's is the vampire on the ground.
Mattie! Stop! I demand.
She looked at me and got of him. She laid back on the ground. Covering her ears again and closing her eyes. She phases. Mattie lays there like she's asleep.
Mattie? I asked as I went over to her.
Edward slowly got up.
What did you do to her? I asked.
I didn't do anything. She passed out from the pain. Edward said.
Come on Mattie wake up. I begged.
Oh my head! This is worse then getting drunk. Mattie mumbled.
Come on sis, I'll take you home. I said.
I picked her up and thanked them for killing the other vampires.
You can sit me down now. Mattie said.
Don't ever do that again. I said.
Do what? She asked confused.
Go off on your own. Vampires will kill you in a second if they know that you can't fight them. I said.
Look Sam, I may have this weird wolf disorder but I will not be some 15 year old wolf girl who has to get baby sat every second of her life. Just because I have that stupid ringing in my ears and doesn't mean that I like glass. She said strongly.
I'm just looking out for you. If it wasn't for the Cullens you would be dead. I said.
I hated to say that but she needs to know and understand this. She can't go dancing around like nothing is wrong.

I was wide eyed. Jeremy scared me to death. I don't like being awaken by someone covering my mouth with their hand.

It was a cloudy day in Mystic Falls. It was also a school day. I was running 20 minutes late to my first class. All becuase of what happen within six days.
