This Little fellow was named as such due to his small will. He doesn’t want to leap into something right away unless he knows or learns that he must, since no one else will, or it’s absolutely necessary. He shows a god-like resiliency. He’s no good of a fighter, but he can take a hit, and take one indeed. One of his feats includes buying time for the creation of a WMD. He was still in its blast radius. And survived. Chibi can’t seem to keep up with his responsibilities. He almost never makes ends meet whenever he promises to do something. He’s very lazy, and prefers to stay out of the spotlight
Mind you, he’s not immortal. He’s very resilient, but he can still be knocked back easily. Just that he may or may not feel it, depending on whether you’ve hit him hard enough or not. He’s very light weught, and can be easily knocked into the air. On top of that, he shows no resistances towards things like pushing him to his absolute limits, or magic, which, if used correctly, could make mince meat out of him.
He used to live in a world where science prevailed over everything. He also needs some kind of an explanation for everything and anything, and, in most cases won’t take “just because” as an explanation. He knows plenty, but lacks the work ethic to put it all to any good noticeable use. Later on his life, HUGE scientific discoveries were made. He was excited to know of this, this that would mean more knowledge. He specifically wanted to know why he could take such a beating, but was far too unwilling to submit himself to examination. These scientific discoveries were dealing with laws of science that not even the greatest of scientists could conceive. Eventually, however, scientists who needed energy to fuel these discoveries to learn more about them were running out of energy.
The energy crisis hit.
All other possibilities were considered, but none were proven to sustain the amount of energy needed to continue research. More importantly, energy was needed to keep the discoveries stable. The discovery, what it was about, what it held, or anything about the discoveries were undisclosed to the public, for fear of making them panic even more than what they already were, but rumor has it that a translucent sphere surrounded the entire planet, cutting off all interplanetary transport. This cut off most of the light that was once able to enter the planet naturally. Artificial light was just unable to provide man with the kind of effects natural light did. As a result, most people developed a kind of AIDS that was not caused by HIV, but by the lack of Vitamin D, which helped boost the immune system.
Then the plagues hit.
Most plagues didn’t offer a quick death, but a slow absolutely excruciatingly painful and unforgiving death. Some of these ate the body from the outside in, others, slowly hacked away at the nervous system. There were more different plagues ravaging the world than humans alive, and as time went on, the difference was more prominent. So, scientists desperately searched for a way to stop the plagues.
Then came the truth.
Scientists had brought upon the world this apocalypse, and had no one else to blame. Their ambitious plans and desires had caused the death of this planet. However, the same causes may also bring about the salvation of the species of humanity: sending off a member of the species somewhere else. Chibi, who was infected with a virus which wouldn’t show itself in symptoms until ten years after infection since it would disguise itself as part of the immune system, volunteered to go. Scientists concluded that he was healthy, even though he was secretly infected, and was sent off to a different world using dimensional jumping technology. The prototype had never been tested, and was just recently created. The result could be a success, a failure, or successful-failure. He was informed that several other members would be sent after him.
When he arrived at the other end of the simulated wormhole, he arrived outside the stratosphere of a planet, and entered its stratosphere as a flaming ball. Ablaze in flames, he landed on the planet’s surface. Hard. He was immobile for several minutes, but was soon after able to move around and explore where the wormhole had taken him. He noticed several armed and armored men holding fire arms to his face. He was taken into their custody, and moved to an interrogation station.
Chibi wouldn’t speak. Even when submitted to “advanced Interrogation Techniques”, he wouldn’t budge, and simply brushed off the torture. Even when they tried killing him, nothing seemed to work. Using a disease wouldn’t even work since the disease he had in him already would fight for control over the body, and would usually win.
Afterward, he was asked questions with a kind of fearful tone rather than an imposing one. They learned of what he had to endure, but they were much more interested in “immortality”, which, as I made clear earlier, is false since he’s not entirely immortal. When they asked him if he was willing to undergo examination, he resisted. However, he wasn’t given the choice either way.
Nothing that they would normally used to cut things, not even diamond-cutting lasers would work, cut his skin or hair, but could easily get rid of his clothing. He was given a new set of clothing, and the scientists gave up on him. Knowing that he had no actual ways of harming others, he was invited to live in the society of their country, so long as he promised not to make this resiliency of his known by others. Chibi agreed, and he was given his documents which were made real and legal on the spot. He lived on still looking for the answers to his questions: what was the cause of his “immortality”, and where were the others that were sent in after he was sent in?
Searching for these answers, he looked through every resource he could, and looked day and night through book, magazines, and data bases. One day, while he was downloading a database that seemed promising, his computer got a virus. Unless there’s another, more suitable term for it.
