For those that don’t know, “In Another World: Mob Suez” is an else-world non-cannon story that takes people’s characters and puts them into the real world. The main character of this story is Dave Hyatt, who a side-character in the regular stories I usually make. People’s origins are tweaked, and people live in a semi-civilian-based life.

I had plans for how this story would go through various phases, but I feel the most appropriate course of action would be to cancel the story.

There are a few reasons I think it’s best to simply end it. While I’ve enjoyed the world-building and creativity this brought around, the more I look at this story, the more it sounds like some cliché teenage anime plot, and you all know how I feel about anime.

The point of the story was that the members of the club would affect the story; its progression, its characters, everything. People could send in a profile of their character, what role they wanted their character to be a part of, and what they wanted to have happen with that character.

To say the least, many of these characters were girls. I would blame everyone except me for this, but that’s not the case. I had no less than three female characters of my own that were potential love-interests for Dave, and two that were actively pursued. I will note that I planned to have one leave for a while, and one rejects him early in the story, but there were still two other potential love interests aside from that, one that was owned by me, and one owned by Rawrmonster123, who has left the community.

It wasn’t just that there were too many love-interests, but that the majority of characters were girls. I would not be able to balance this.

This wasn’t the only issue as I found trying to please everyone’s initial requests (including love-lives) difficult. There were unanswered plot-threads that were not going to go anywhere. It wasn’t a mess quite yet but it would become one. One particular plot-hole that bothered me was that an earthquake goes off and the police never appear about it. This was pretty stupid.

I quite enjoyed MANY things about this story, and I had a surprise about Rin and Ira (Virus) that was going to be revealed, but I simply don’t think the story can stand long enough for that.

Not to mention there is literally NO interaction from people when it comes to how the story will play out, and we all know why that is.

Those who were reading it have vanish save a very tiny amount. I simply don’t think this story is worth continuing, at least not right now. MAYBE in the future I’ll go back and fix it all but not right now.
