Im with cynder1 i think it is the best even though iv never played year of the dragon. and cynder1 i made one of my fans.

The original games are the best! But I do like the co-op feature on dawn of the dragon.

The original 3 are without a doubt the best of the entire series.
I have played "The Legend of Spyro" Series, and personally got bored with it after a while. It was entertaining at first but got boring with it's repetitiveness... i also don't like how they turned Spyro's story around. I never even got to the end of a single Legend of Spyro game.

With the originals, i have beaten them all at least half a dozen times each, and i'd love to go back and play them again right now.

My favorite spyro, out of every single Spyro game made since Spyro the Dragon, is Spyro: Year of The Dragon.

so what if you can fly? yes that is a great ability and it is epic that he can finally fly :D but overall that means nothing if the game sucks. year of the dragon is one of my favourite games, yes it's easy but i grew up with it and all of the originals and the memories i got from them are much more important to me than some ability. and the old games were so much more fun :D

^ Lol, I must've been challenged as a kid, because I struggled with Year of the Dragon back then, even more than Ripto's Rage. Everyone says it's easy, but it took me years to figure everything out. (But I didn't use the internet or anything to cheat. ;D)

But yeah, I wouldn't like it anywhere near as much as I always have if it was that easy from the start.

Dawn of the Dragon is much better, has better music, and graphics, and voice acting!

Based on the reasons in this pick, I prefer Dawn of the Dragon. But even so I do love both games. :)

Tell you what...
You go and find yourself another series to be a fan of. Start at the very beginning and work your way up. Now it may take you some time but I'm sure you can do it. Find a series you like from the very beginning that also has a good recent game as well.
That way, you can stop insulting all of us "TRUE" Fans and Fencers alike with your fairweather fan presence and get off our FANSITE! This is for Spyro the Dragon Fans, fencers and classic fans alilke.

No one here disses the Classics and is going to claim that they're a Spyro Fan. Its not gonna happen.

It's funny because I own all the games. I played the old Spyro games yesterday actually. Not that I hate the old games, but I just prefer Dawn of the Dragon because I enjoy it so much.

It's honestly ironic. You being a hypocrite and all. You're having a go at me because I prefer the new ones so I'm suddenly a "non-Spyro fan".
