Awesome episode!!! And it totally sucks that we have to wait 3 freaking weeks for another awesome looking episode...grrr. I have read some things where people were saying "Oh if Elena dies, Damon will take off his ring and meet the sun. Stefan won't because he isn't man enough to do that." The problem I have with "not man enough" is that I believe killing yourself to escape your sorrows is weak. Some people are saying that Stefan didn't really mean to apologize. That he only apologized because he has an ulterior motive. I don't agree with that. Yes it took him 145 years to apologize but Damon held a grudge for 145 years and promised him an eternity of misery. So I am going to say why I loved the DE scene at the end.
a) Ian did an amazing job in that scene and I felt Damon's pain (not as good as Paul in the break-up but I am biased after all, wink)
B) reason b with a capital B because Damon loves Elena but he put his relationship with his brother first. He could have gone and confessed his love and not compelled Elena. Ok, confession. This Delena scene in Rose—I found myself wanting Elena to kiss Damon.
