Chapter 9

After I had wrapped my ankle in a dry bandage, I started to cook supper for everyone. I made spaghetti. I thought it was really but apparently Lila and Paige were vegetarians. I am totally a meat eater. I love meat! Oh well, next time they can make their own food. After I read over some things for school, I went to bed but that night I a strange dream.
[i] I was in a restaurant with Nate. ( A guy from school that I had liked but he didnt feel the same way). We were sitting at a table together and then my sister had showed up. She had been taking pictures but all of that stuff isn't weird what was weird was, that I was in a Coast Guard uniform. I didn't know why I was in a Coast Guard Uniform but it didn't bother me. Nate and were sitting close together and he had his arm around me. My sister then preceded to tell me to close me eyes. So I closed my eyes and then i felt Nate kiss my forehead and my sister told me to open my eyes. Right as I opened my eyes she took a picture. Thankfully I was smiling so the picture turned out great. [i/]
I woke up suddenly from sleeping. I could hardly breathe and then when I did breathe it would hurt. I didn't know what was happening. I got up out if bed ad walked to my bed room door. As soon as I opened it Jake was walking down the hall.
Jake. I said.
He didn't gear me until I called his name again. I couldn't speak loudly, it took too much air to speak loud enough.
What's wrong? He asked.
I can't breathe. I gasped.
Okay. He said. Stay calm. Okay?
I nodded my head.
Gary and Bec had separate rooms on the bottom floor. Jake picked me up and carried me downstairs.
Gary. Bec. Jake called out as he was walking down the stairs.
Yeah, what wrong? Gary said walking into the kitchen.
Loryn said she is having trouble breathing. She isn't breathing normally. Jake told Gary.
Gary immediately called 911.
Don't wake everyone up. I said gasping for air.
It's okay. Take deep breathes. Bec told me
It hurts to take deep breathes. I told her.
As soon as an ambulance arrived Gary let them in the door and Jake started explaining wait was wrong. While one EMT went and got a gurney the other was putting oxygen on me.
Have you had any trauma to your chest, lately? One of the EMTs asked.
I nodded my head yes.
Once the gurney was brought in I was immediately picked up and placed on it. They layer me down and covered me up. I started going into shock. I was shaking and cold. Breathing kept getting harder and harder for me. I could feel myself starting to go unconscious and then everything went black.
