Earth..Fire...Air…Water…When I was a boy my father, Avatar Ang, told me the story of how him and his friends heroically ended the 100 year war. Avatar Ang and Fire Lord Zuko transformed the fire nation colonies into the United Republic of Nations. A society where benders and non-benders from all over the world could come together and live in peace..and harmony. They named the capital of this place, Republic city. Avatar Ang accomplished many remarkable things in his life..but sadly his time in this world came to an end..and like the cycle of the seasons, the cycle of the avatar began a new.

Chapter 1
Welcome to republic city

The white lotus troops walk through the fire nation capital. They walk into this huge house through the back. A lady in maid clothes opens the door. “Hello, come in this way white lotus,” she says taking them inside. They go inside to the back of house inside a bedroom. Inside there was a beautiful woman in traditional fire nation clothes. “Hello,” she bows her head. “Welcome white lotus, you have protected my family and my city for years. I thank you.” She says to them. The four men take off there hoods. “We have been to all of the fire nations cities..what makes you think your daughter is the one?” one of the men says. She smiles. “I’ll show you, Courtney come in here please,” she says. Suddenly a girl does flips inside the room. “I am the Avatar!” The girl yells. She had brown hair, dark skin and dark eyes. She was in a jumper in fire nation colors; she had her hair in a ponytail with a red ribbon. She was no more older than six. The men chuckled. “Show us what you got kid?” the captain says. Courtney just smiles. She stomps a rock and sends it flying towards the wall. She flips and kicks fire out of her foot. She bends the water to put out the fire. The men all stand there with shocked faces. The little girl giggles and puts her hands on her hips. “See I told you,” She says with a smile.
Present day
Two men and one teenage girl are fighting using fire bending. The girl had brown hair, dark eyes and dark skin. She had on dark tight pants and a leather jacket with a red tank top. One man throws a giant flame of fire towards her. She jumps and kicks the fire while kicking the man sending him to fly backwards. She lands and gets in fighting position. The two men send a flame towards the girl, she just captures the flame by spinning in it a circle. One man throws punches of fire towards the girl, she punches the flame breaking it she then dodges one and runs towards the man. The man jumps and spin kicks a flame towards her. She rolls forward on the ground she kicks his foot and makes him fall to the ground. She get up. The other man throws punches of fire at the girl, she throws them back and kicks the other man that was on the ground and sends him flying back. She throws punches of fire towards the guy. The first guy gets up and kicks fire toward her. She spin kicks and sends fire towards him and throws punches towards him sending him backwards. The other guy sends a giant flame towards her she breaks it and sends two punches towards her. She then sends a double flame, sending the guy flying and he lands on the roof. One lady on the porch watches her fight. “She’s strong,” The lady says. She was a water tribe due to her wearing water nation clothes. “She lacks restraint,” one of the white lotus warriors says. The last fighter runs toward her sending a continuous fire flame towards her. The girl just runs towards him straight threw the flame breaking it apart, she moves his arm runs up him jumps in the air and spin kicks a fire flame towards him then double fist a power flame towards the man. He goes flying back, he rolls and avoids the flame he then falls back and passes out. She laughs. “WOOHOO!” She yells! She runs up to the people on the porch. “Why all the doom and gloom people, we should be celebrating. Three elements down only one left to go,” She says while taking off her helmet. “You’re getting ahead of yourself as usual Courtney,” one man says that was dressed in fire nation clothes. “We haven’t decided if you passes your fire bending test yet,” he says. “Even since you were a little girl you excelled at the physical side at bending but completely ignored the spiritual side. The Avatar must master both,” the white lotus warrior says. She sighs. “I haven’t ignored it, it just doesn’t come as easy to me but that’s why I should start training with Tensen immediately. He’s mister spiritual,” she says. “Do you believe she’s ready master Katara?” asked the white lotus warrior. “Yes,” says the lady in the water nation tribe clothes. “If anyone can teach her what she needs to learn, it’s Tensen,” she says. “Very well Courtney, it’s time for you to begin your air bending training,” says the white lotus warrior. Courtney jumps up in the air. “Yes finally,” she says. She stops and looks at the people on the porch. “I mean, thank you all for believing in me,” she says while bowing to them. She starts walking away then runs to a pin on the other side. She opens a gate. “Rajah you should have seen it!” she says running towards the tiger/bear. It gets up and licks her face and hugs his neck. “I kicked some fire bender but and I passed. Tensen is going to be here in a few days.” She says. He licks her face again. She giggles. She then hops on him and walks him out of the gate. “Come on lets go for a run.” She says. Then rajah starts to run towards a giant gate guarded by two men. “I’m just taking Rajah for a run,” she says to the guard. The just give her look. “I want go far I promise,” she says to them. They roll their eyes and let her go through. She takes off. “Come on rajah,” she says. They take off going faster through a guarded field.
Later that day, a flying bison comes flying over the training ground. “Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Ohh please say we are there..ohh this looks really familiar,” One little girl says. She had air bending clothes on. The man flying the bison sighs. “yes Ikki like I’ve been telling you for the past fifteen minutes. We are finally here,” he says. Two girls fly off while giggling. The man flying gets off with a little boy on his neck. He walks up to Katara. “Hello mother, you have no idea how happy I am to see you,” he tell her while the little boy pulls on his face. “Please help me,” he says. She then takes the boy off of his shoulders. She laughs. The boy starts struggling. “Unhand me strange woman,” he says while trying to break free. “That’s your grandmother melo,” the man says to the boy. The boy stops and flips over her head then lands on the ground and runs away. “It’s so good to see all of you,” Katara says. “Gran Gran I’ve been reading all about your old adventures. I’ve been dying to ask you, what happen to Zuko’s mom,” The girl asks. “Well Jinorah It’s an incredible tale,” She says then suddenly interrupted. Ikki jumps in front of her sister. “Gran Gran, you look really old. How old are you? And why is it so cold in the South Pole. Can we make a campfire and all huddle around it and tell scary stories and make snow men and then can you make the snow men move by water bending then chase us. Wouldn’t that be fun huh wouldn’t it,” Ikki says while jumping up and down. The man walks over to the very much pregnant lady climbing off the bison. “Emma let me help you,” He says to her helping her get off. “Careful now Careful,” He says to her. “Stop hounding on me I’m not helpless, I’m just pregnant,” she says to him then walking towards the others. She hugs Katara. Katara puts her hands on Emma’s stomach. “The baby is strong, I see another air bender in your future.” She tells emma. Emma sighs. “All I want is one child like me a nice non-bender that doesn’t blast air in my face every five seconds,” she tells Katara. “Mommy look I’m a snow bender,” says melo while spinning the snow off of him. “Where tensen and his siblings this crazy when they were kids?” she asked. “Kiyah and Boomy certainly were but Tensen has always been rather serious,” She says. “Mother please,” says Tensen. He looks and sees a girl behind Katara. “Courtney?” he asks. She smiles and runs to him. “Look at you, so big and strong you’ve grown into quite a young avatar,” He tells her. “Master Tensen I’m so glad you’re here I can’t wait to get started,” she says while smiling. “Yes well..uhh..” he says while looking down. “You’re going to have to tell her sooner or later,” Emma tells Tensen. “Wait tell me what?” Courtney asks. “You’re not staying are you?” asks Katara. Tensen sighs. “I’m afraid not, we’re only visiting for the night. Then I have to return to Republic City,” He tells Courtney. “But no your suppost to move here, ahh your suppost to teach me,” Courtney says. “I’m sorry Courtney, but your air bending training will just have to wait,” he tell her.
In the dining room
“So how long till you’re ready to teach me air bending, a week, a month,” she asks. “It could be much longer,” he says. “I don’t understand..why are you making me wait?” she asks. “I have a responsibility to Republic City. I’m one of its leader and its very unstable right now,” he tells her. “But you also have a responsibility to teach me. Believe me I’d me happy to find another air bending master but you’re the only one. We’re stuck with each other,” She says. “I wish there were another way,” he says. “Wait there is if you can’t stay here then I’ll go back to Republic City with you,” She says with a smile. “It’s perfect,” she says. “Absolutely not the city is far too dangerous, Avatar Ang tasked us with keeping you safe while you mastered the four elements,” the lotus warrior says. “I get that but I don’t think keeping me locked up in this compound is what he had in mind,” Courtney tells him. “I know this is difficult to accept but it’s not the right time for you to come to the city,” Tensen tells her. “Whatever,” She says while getting up from the table and leaving. Both Tensen and the Lotus warrior sigh.
The next day
“goodbye gran gran,” the kids say while on the bison. Katara waves goodbye. “oogie Yipp yipp,” tensen says. They then fly off.
With Katara
She watches Tensen and them fly away. She tenses up and gets on Rajah and runs towards the camp ground. They go into a shed and she gathers supplies and puts on Rajah saddle. “Nice night for an escape isn’t it,” she heard some say. She looks up and sees Katara. “I have to leave, I have to find my own path as the Avatar,” Courtney says to her. Katara nods. “I know you do, Ang’s time has passed. My brother and many of my friends are gone. It’s time for you and your generation to take on the responsibility of keeping peace and balance in the world...But I think you’re going to be a great avatar,” Katara says. Courtney hugs her. “Thank you,” Courtney says while hugging her. “Goodbye Courtney,” Katara says. Courtney then hops on Rajah and takes off. Rajah jumps over the walls and runs out into the field hopping on a ship taking them to Republic City.
The next day
Courtney is sleeping snuggled up to Rajah. Suddenly the boat stops. Courtney wakes up and shakes Rajah. “Rajah we’re here,” she says. The doors open and some men coming in getting the cargo out from underneath the ship. Courtney hops on Rajah and takes off. “Thanks for the ride,” she says. They run to the bridge to take them to Republic city. “Wow, look at this place. I’ve never seen so many saito mobiles,” she says pointing at the cars. She then turns and sees a statue of Ang as a kid in the middle of the water. She sighs. Then sees an island right beside it. “Air temple Island, That’s where tensen is,” she says. “are you ready for a swim boy?” she asked Rajah. Rajah then sniffs and smells something he then takes off. “Okay okay, food first then air temple,” She says while riding rajah. Rajah takes off running through the city not minding cars or people. “Sorry, Excuse me..Sorry He’s just really hungry,” She says while Rajah speeds up. He then stops at a food stand and smells it. He almost takes a bite. “Rajah wait,” Courtney says then hopping off. “We will take one of everything please,” Courtney asks the lady. “That’ll be 20 youones,” The lady says. “Uhh you see I don’t have any money,” Courtney tells her. “Then what good are you to me, Go scram,” the lady yells at her and rajah. Courtney hops back on rajah. “Come on boy this city is huge, I’m sure we can find something to eat,” She says while they take off.
At the park
Courtney catches about three fish. She then fire bends to cook the fish. “Here you go boy,” Placing the fish down on the ground for Rajah to eat. Courtney then takes her cooked fish and goes to take a bite before a strange man pops out of the bushes. Courtney gasps. “Uhh say can I get one of those tasty smelling fishies?” The man asks. “Ohh uhh sure here you go,” She hands him a cooked fish on a stick. He then sits down and starts eating away. “So uhh do you live in that bush,” She asks him. “yes that is presently what I do call home took me a while to procure a bush that beauties,” he says. “This park is quite popular with all the bagabons,” he says. “So there are a lot of you out here..I thought everyone in this city was living it up,” she says. The man laughs. “You got a lot to learn new comer, welcome to republic city,” he says. Suddenly a whistle goes off. “Hey you, you can’t fish here,” the officer says. “Best better run,” the hobo says then jumping into his bush. Courtney whistles for Rajah she hops on and rajah takes off running. The man stops running to catch his breath. Rajah stops running and starts to walk through the park. Suddenly a man on stage with a microphone starts to talk. “Are you tired of living under the ternary of benders then join the equalist. For too long the benders of this city has made the non-benders of this city to become lower class citizens. Join Ahmad and together we will tear down the bending establishment,” the man says. “What are you talking about? Bending is the coolest thing in the world,” Courtney says to the man. “Oh yeah let me guess you’re a bender,” The man says. “Yeah I am,” Courtney says with attitude. “Then I bet you want to knock me off this plat form with some fire bending huh,” the man asks. “I’m seriously thinking about it,” Courtney says while crossing her arms. “This is what’s wrong with the city. Benders like this girl only use their powers to a press us,” he tells the small group of people. They all turn around and tell her to get lost. “What I’m not a pressing anyone…You’re a pressing yourself,” Courtney says. “That didn’t even make sense,” the man yells. Courtney and Rajah walk away.
Later that day
Courtney starts walking down the street with Rajah beside her. “I don’t understand this town at all…I thought things would be different…but I guess I was wrong,” She says. “Come on rajah let’s get to the Air Temple and get away from this strange town,” she says. They start walking down an old street. She sees an old lady. “Excuse me ma’ma..I think I’m lost how do you get to the Air temple?” she asks her. “You just take this street,” the lady says. Suddenly a car pulls onto the street. “You better get lost kid, it isn’t safe,” the lady says then runs into her house. The cars stops and three men get out. They all walk over to an old man cleaning a music box. “Mr. Chang, please tell me you have my money or I can’t guarantee I can protect you’re fine establishment,” He says then looks at one of his buddies who then floats fire out of his hand. The old man starts to get nervous. “I’m sorry business has been slow, please take one of my music box or phonographs anything,” the old man tells him. The fire bender kicks the phonograph out of his hands and it catches on fire. The old man falls back and screams a little. “My friend here is not a music lover, give me the money or else,” the man said before getting cut off. “Or else what hoodlum,” Courtney says standing behind them. The three men just laugh. “Since you obviously fresh off the boat explain a couple of things..you in triple threat tryad territory and we’re about to put you in the hospital,” the main guy says. “You’re the only one who’s going to need a hospital,” she says. Then pushes her fist together. “and for your sake I hope there’s one nearby,” she says. “Who do you think you are,” the main guy asks. “Why don’t you come over and find out?” she says. The guy then sends a blade of water towards her she catches it and sends it back freezing his face. She then spin kicks him and he falls over hitting his head on the car breaking the ice and knocking him out. The bigger guy stomps but Courtney, pushes it out of the way punches the ground and sends him flying backwards. The last guy through a giant flame of fire, Courtney splits it and grabs his fist kicks him over her and send him flying through a glass window. One of the guy gets the car and picks the rest of them up. Courtney laughs. “What a bunch of chickens,” she says. Suddenly sirens go off and then guys come down arresting the three men. “Metal benders,” Courtney says. “Officers arrest them,” she says. “We will and you as well,” the officer says. “What I haven’t done anything wrong there the ones that caused the damage here,” she tells him. “Not what I see,” he says then wraps a metal band around her and rajah. Pulling them up into the blimp.
In the Jail cell
A lady walks in the room and starts reading off everything Courtney did. “You destroyed private and public property and don’t forget avoiding arrest,” the lady says. “You’re in a whole lot of trouble kid,” she tells her. “But there was thugs threating to burn to burn down the man’s shop and I,” Courtney says then gets cut of. “Can it! You should have called the police and stayed out of the way,” The lady says. “But I couldn’t just sit there and do nothing..It’s my duty to help people. You see I’m the Avatar,” Courtney tells her. “Oh I am well aware of who you are, your avatar title might impress some people but not me,” the lady tell her. “Alright then I want to talk to whoever is in charge,” Courtney says. “Your talking to her,” the lady says. “I’m chef bayfong,” she tells Courtney. “wait bayfondg..Linn Bayfong. Your Toffs daughter,” Courtney tells her. “What of it,” Linn says. “Your mom and my past life Ang were friends…They saved the world together,” Courtney tells her. “That’s ancient history..and it has nothing to do with the mess you’re in right now..you can’t just waltz in here like you own the place even if you are the avatar,” Linn tells her. Suddenly a man walks in. “Chef someone’s here to see you,” he says. Suddenly a man walks in. “Tensen, I’m sorry I got a little side tracked on my way to see you,” Courtney says. Tensen just glares and takes a deep breath. “Linn you are looking radiant as usual,” he says to her. “Cut the garbage Tensen, why is the Avatar in republic city? I thought you were supposed to move to the mountains and train here there,” Linn tells him. “My relocation has been delayed, the avatar will get moved back to the mountains where she will stay put, If you would be so kind to drop all the charges I will take full responsibility and cover all the damages,” Tensen says to Linn. Linn sighs. “Fine,” she says and bends her handcuffs off. “Get her out of my city,” Linn says. “Always a pleasure Linn, Lets go Courtney,” he says then walking out. Courtney get up and follows. Linn glares at Courtney, Courtney glares back.
That night at the dock
“Tensen, please don’t make me go,” Courtney said. “I’m sorry but I just can’t I said you would go so you must,” Tensen said. “I understand that this city is your responsibility but it’s also mine..I’m the Avatar and your father wanted it to be better than what it is now,” Courtney told him. Tensen sighed. “I’m sorry but I just can’t,” Tensen tells her. Courtney frowns. Suddenly Milo, Ikki and Jinorah come running up. “Courtney are you staying with us,” ikki asked. “I’m sorry but no, I have to go back to the mountains now,” she tells her. Milo hugs her. “I’m gonna miss you,” he tells her. She cries a little. “I’m gonna miss you too, all of you,” she says while wiping a tear away. They all hug her. Courtney stands up and hops on Rajah. “Goodbye” she says and rajah and her start walking towards the ship. Tensen sighs. “Wait Courtney…You were right, this town is in the need of help…and I don’t see a better person to help than no other than the avatar,” He says. “So wait..I can stay,” Courtney asks. “Yes, you can stay here with me and my family..and I will teach you to Air Bend,” He tells her. Courtney squeals and jumps off Rajah. She runs to him and hugs him. “Thank you Thank you Thank you, Tensen I promise I want let you down,” She says. He sighs. “I highly doubt that,” he says. The kids all laugh and jump into Courtney’s arms. “YAY! You can with us,” Jinorah tells her. They all get on a different boat and sail towards the Air Temple.
The Next Day
In a Public announcement
Courtney walks on a stage and speaks into a microphone. “Hello everyone, I am the Avatar. I am Avatar Courtney. I want to change this place to the way Avatar Ang before me imagined it would be. I will protect this city from anything I promise I want let you down,” She tells everyone. Reports storm her asking questions about her and her past, why she was a fire bender, and about the thugs fought the day before. “No more questions for the Avatar please,” Tensen says. They then both walk off stage. Courtney smiles at Tensen. “I’m gonna chnge this city, you watch and see,” she tells him. She then hops on Rajah and runs off. Tensen just sighs. “I hope you do..Avatar Courtney,” He says.

She smiles and runs to him. “Look at you, so big and strong you’ve grown into quite a young avatar,” He tells her. “Master Tensen I’m so glad you’re here I can’t wait to get started,” she says while smiling. “Yes well..uhh..” he says while looking down. “You’re going to have to tell her sooner or later,” Emma tells Tensen. “Wait tell me what?” Courtney asks. “You’re not staying are you?” asks Katara. Tensen sighs. “I’m afraid not, we’re only visiting for the night. Then I have to return to Republic City,” He tells Courtney. “But no your suppost to move here, ahh your suppost to teach me,” Courtney says. “I’m sorry Courtney, but your air bending training will just have to wait,” he tell her.
In the dining room
“So how long till you’re ready to teach me air bending, a week, a month,” she asks. “It could be much longer,” he says. “I don’t understand..why are you making me wait?” she asks. “I have a responsibility to Republic City. I’m one of its leader and its very unstable right now,” he tells her. “But you also have a responsibility to teach me. Believe me I’d me happy to find another air bending master but you’re the only one. We’re stuck with each other,” She says. “I wish there were another way,” he says. “Wait there is if you can’t stay here then I’ll go back to Republic City with you,” She says with a smile. “It’s perfect,” she says. “Absolutely not the city is far too dangerous, Avatar Ang tasked us with keeping you safe while you mastered the four elements,” the lotus warrior says. “I get that but I don’t think keeping me locked up in this compound is what he had in mind,” Courtney tells him. “I know this is difficult to accept but it’s not the right time for you to come to the city,” Tensen tells her. “Whatever,” She says while getting up from the table and leaving. Both Tensen and the Lotus warrior sigh.
The next day
“goodbye gran gran,” the kids say while on the bison. Katara waves goodbye. “oogie Yipp yipp,” tensen says. They then fly off.
With Katara
She watches Tensen and them fly away. She tenses up and gets on Rajah and runs towards the camp ground. They go into a shed and she gathers supplies and puts on Rajah saddle. “Nice night for an escape isn’t it,” she heard some say. She looks up and sees Katara. “I have to leave, I have to find my own path as the Avatar,” Courtney says to her. Katara nods. “I know you do, Ang’s time has passed. My brother and many of my friends are gone. It’s time for you and your generation to take on the responsibility of keeping peace and balance in the world...But I think you’re going to be a great avatar,” Katara says. Courtney hugs her. “Thank you,” Courtney says while hugging her. “Goodbye Courtney,” Katara says. Courtney then hops on Rajah and takes off. Rajah jumps over the walls and runs out into the field hopping on a ship taking them to Republic City.
The next day
Courtney is sleeping snuggled up to Rajah. Suddenly the boat stops. Courtney wakes up and shakes Rajah. “Rajah we’re here,” she says. The doors open and some men coming in getting the cargo out from underneath the ship. Courtney hops on Rajah and takes off. “Thanks for the ride,” she says. They run to the bridge to take them to Republic city. “Wow, look at this place. I’ve never seen so many saito mobiles,” she says pointing at the cars. She then turns and sees a statue of Ang as a kid in the middle of the water. She sighs. Then sees an island right beside it. “Air temple Island, That’s where tensen is,” she says. “are you ready for a swim boy?” she asked Rajah. Rajah then sniffs and smells something he then takes off. “Okay okay, food first then air temple,” She says while riding rajah. Rajah takes off running through the city not minding cars or people. “Sorry, Excuse me..Sorry He’s just really hungry,” She says while Rajah speeds up. He then stops at a food stand and smells it. He almost takes a bite. “Rajah wait,” Courtney says then hopping off. “We will take one of everything please,” Courtney asks the lady. “That’ll be 20 youones,” The lady says. “Uhh you see I don’t have any money,” Courtney tells her. “Then what good are you to me, Go scram,” the lady yells at her and rajah. Courtney hops back on rajah. “Come on boy this city is huge, I’m sure we can find something to eat,” She says while they take off.
At the park
Courtney catches about three fish. She then fire bends to cook the fish. “Here you go boy,” Placing the fish down on the ground for Rajah to eat. Courtney then takes her cooked fish and goes to take a bite before a strange man pops out of the bushes. Courtney gasps. “Uhh say can I get one of those tasty smelling fishies?” The man asks. “Ohh uhh sure here you go,” She hands him a cooked fish on a stick. He then sits down and starts eating away. “So uhh do you live in that bush,” She asks him. “yes that is presently what I do call home took me a while to procure a bush that beauties,” he says. “This park is quite popular with all the bagabons,” he says. “So there are a lot of you out here..I thought everyone in this city was living it up,” she says. The man laughs. “You got a lot to learn new comer, welcome to republic city,” he says. Suddenly a whistle goes off. “Hey you, you can’t fish here,” the officer says. “Best better run,” the hobo says then jumping into his bush. Courtney whistles for Rajah she hops on and rajah takes off running. The man stops running to catch his breath. Rajah stops running and starts to walk through the park. Suddenly a man on stage with a microphone starts to talk. “Are you tired of living under the ternary of benders then join the equalist. For too long the benders of this city has made the non-benders of this city to become lower class citizens. Join Ahmad and together we will tear down the bending establishment,” the man says. “What are you talking about? Bending is the coolest thing in the world,” Courtney says to the man. “Oh yeah let me guess you’re a bender,” The man says. “Yeah I am,” Courtney says with attitude. “Then I bet you want to knock me off this plat form with some fire bending huh,” the man asks. “I’m seriously thinking about it,” Courtney says while crossing her arms. “This is what’s wrong with the city. Benders like this girl only use their powers to a press us,” he tells the small group of people. They all turn around and tell her to get lost. “What I’m not a pressing anyone…You’re a pressing yourself,” Courtney says. “That didn’t even make sense,” the man yells. Courtney and Rajah walk away.
Later that day
Courtney starts walking down the street with Rajah beside her. “I don’t understand this town at all…I thought things would be different…but I guess I was wrong,” She says. “Come on rajah let’s get to the Air Temple and get away from this strange town,” she says. They start walking down an old street. She sees an old lady. “Excuse me ma’ma..I think I’m lost how do you get to the Air temple?” she asks her. “You just take this street,” the lady says. Suddenly a car pulls onto the street. “You better get lost kid, it isn’t safe,” the lady says then runs into her house. The cars stops and three men get out. They all walk over to an old man cleaning a music box. “Mr. Chang, please tell me you have my money or I can’t guarantee I can protect you’re fine establishment,” He says then looks at one of his buddies who then floats fire out of his hand. The old man starts to get nervous. “I’m sorry business has been slow, please take one of my music box or phonographs anything,” the old man tells him. The fire bender kicks the phonograph out of his hands and it catches on fire. The old man falls back and screams a little. “My friend here is not a music lover, give me the money or else,” the man said before getting cut off. “Or else what hoodlum,” Courtney says standing behind them. The three men just laugh. “Since you obviously fresh off the boat explain a couple of things..you in triple threat tryad territory and we’re about to put you in the hospital,” the main guy says. “You’re the only one who’s going to need a hospital,” she says. Then pushes her fist together. “and for your sake I hope there’s one nearby,” she says. “Who do you think you are,” the main guy asks. “Why don’t you come over and find out?” she says. The guy then sends a blade of water towards her she catches it and sends it back freezing his face. She then spin kicks him and he falls over hitting his head on the car breaking the ice and knocking him out. The bigger guy stomps but Courtney, pushes it out of the way punches the ground and sends him flying backwards. The last guy through a giant flame of fire, Courtney splits it and grabs his fist kicks him over her and send him flying through a glass window. One of the guy gets the car and picks the rest of them up. Courtney laughs. “What a bunch of chickens,” she says. Suddenly sirens go off and then guys come down arresting the three men. “Metal benders,” Courtney says. “Officers arrest them,” she says. “We will and you as well,” the officer says. “What I haven’t done anything wrong there the ones that caused the damage here,” she tells him. “Not what I see,” he says then wraps a metal band around her and rajah. Pulling them up into the blimp.
In the Jail cell
A lady walks in the room and starts reading off everything Courtney did. “You destroyed private and public property and don’t forget avoiding arrest,” the lady says. “You’re in a whole lot of trouble kid,” she tells her. “But there was thugs threating to burn to burn down the man’s shop and I,” Courtney says then gets cut of. “Can it! You should have called the police and stayed out of the way,” The lady says. “But I couldn’t just sit there and do nothing..It’s my duty to help people. You see I’m the Avatar,” Courtney tells her. “Oh I am well aware of who you are, your avatar title might impress some people but not me,” the lady tell her. “Alright then I want to talk to whoever is in charge,” Courtney says. “Your talking to her,” the lady says. “I’m chef bayfong,” she tells Courtney. “wait bayfondg..Linn Bayfong. Your Toffs daughter,” Courtney tells her. “What of it,” Linn says. “Your mom and my past life Ang were friends…They saved the world together,” Courtney tells her. “That’s ancient history..and it has nothing to do with the mess you’re in right now..you can’t just waltz in here like you own the place even if you are the avatar,” Linn tells her. Suddenly a man walks in. “Chef someone’s here to see you,” he says. Suddenly a man walks in. “Tensen, I’m sorry I got a little side tracked on my way to see you,” Courtney says. Tensen just glares and takes a deep breath. “Linn you are looking radiant as usual,” he says to her. “Cut the garbage Tensen, why is the Avatar in republic city? I thought you were supposed to move to the mountains and train here there,” Linn tells him. “My relocation has been delayed, the avatar will get moved back to the mountains where she will stay put, If you would be so kind to drop all the charges I will take full responsibility and cover all the damages,” Tensen says to Linn. Linn sighs. “Fine,” she says and bends her handcuffs off. “Get her out of my city,” Linn says. “Always a pleasure Linn, Lets go Courtney,” he says then walking out. Courtney get up and follows. Linn glares at Courtney, Courtney glares back.
That night at the dock
“Tensen, please don’t make me go,” Courtney said. “I’m sorry but I just can’t I said you would go so you must,” Tensen said. “I understand that this city is your responsibility but it’s also mine..I’m the Avatar and your father wanted it to be better than what it is now,” Courtney told him. Tensen sighed. “I’m sorry but I just can’t,” Tensen tells her. Courtney frowns. Suddenly Milo, Ikki and Jinorah come running up. “Courtney are you staying with us,” ikki asked. “I’m sorry but no, I have to go back to the mountains now,” she tells her. Milo hugs her. “I’m gonna miss you,” he tells her. She cries a little. “I’m gonna miss you too, all of you,” she says while wiping a tear away. They all hug her. Courtney stands up and hops on Rajah. “Goodbye” she says and rajah and her start walking towards the ship. Tensen sighs. “Wait Courtney…You were right, this town is in the need of help…and I don’t see a better person to help than no other than the avatar,” He says. “So wait..I can stay,” Courtney asks. “Yes, you can stay here with me and my family..and I will teach you to Air Bend,” He tells her. Courtney squeals and jumps off Rajah. She runs to him and hugs him. “Thank you Thank you Thank you, Tensen I promise I want let you down,” She says. He sighs. “I highly doubt that,” he says. The kids all laugh and jump into Courtney’s arms. “YAY! You can with us,” Jinorah tells her. They all get on a different boat and sail towards the Air Temple.
The Next Day
In a Public announcement
Courtney walks on a stage and speaks into a microphone. “Hello everyone, I am the Avatar. I am Avatar Courtney. I want to change this place to the way Avatar Ang before me imagined it would be. I will protect this city from anything I promise I want let you down,” She tells everyone. Reports storm her asking questions about her and her past, why she was a fire bender, and about the thugs fought the day before. “No more questions for the Avatar please,” Tensen says. They then both walk off stage. Courtney smiles at Tensen. “I’m gonna chnge this city, you watch and see,” she tells him. She then hops on Rajah and runs off. Tensen just sighs. “I hope you do..Avatar Courtney,” He says.
