As the cool morning rise in the jungle sky, the animals all came out from their homes and started a whole new day. Every animal had its own duties to perform in order to keep the jungle at its proper postion. The bees would collect flower pollen to produce honey, the birds would keep the jungle at its most beauty by singing tunes or songs, and elephants would keep the plants and trees from getting too talk by eating them.
One animal in particular has its own duties to perform- collecting food for the day. Little Charlie the Ant is always on the go with collecting enough food to last for the whole day and week. He words most of the morning as well as the afternoon- doesn't take any breaks except for when it gets dark. Charlie was busy trying to find some fruits in the trees when a tiny bird showed up. "What are you doing bird?" Charlie asked the tiny bird. The bird didn't learn to talk yet so it made similar noises birds would make. After grabbing a few bananas from the tree, Charlie said his farewells to the bird as he made his way down. He started to carry his bananas to his home at the ant mound until a fimilar voice caught his attention. "Hey Ant." The voice said. The minute Charlie turned, he knew he was up to no good because coming at him was a blue colored Aardvark.
"Oh no! Not this again." Charlie said while running away. The aardvark followed him, chasing him all the way to the ant mound. "Come out of there ant, I want a word with you." The aardvark said. Charlie did not come out because he knew what was going to happen- the minute he came out, the aardvark would try to eat him. It is the same thing everyday, but it is part of the routine in the jungle. After trying to force the ant to come out for quite sometime, the aardvark had enough of waiting. He ran all the way to his home, which is near a cliff and dug around in his house for something usefull to catch ants. After looking around for quite sometime, he finally found the thing he was looking for. "With this, I can catch that ant easily." What he had in his hand was some ant spray. It is suppose to paralyse ants within seconds. He hoped it would be better enough to catch Charlie.
Back in the jungle, Charlie was busy once again collecting food. This time however, he decided to venutre deep away from his home to find more food. Evenutally after walking around for a while, Charlie found loads of peaches on a peach tree. He slowly made his way up the tree and was about to grab one when something grabbed and yanked him. A large snake grabbed him. "What are you doing?!" Charlie shouted. The snake looked at him with its large eyes and realized something. "Oh I am very sorry," The snake said. "I thought you were a monkey." The snake gently put Charlie down in the tree. "Why would you think I was a monkey?" He asked the snake. The snake shurgged while looking at the trees in the distance. "Because a couple of rude monkeys who live about a mile from here are always coming and stealing my peaches. This is my home you know." Charlie had no idea this was the snake's home and felt bad for trying to take one of the peaches. He decided to do something nice for the snake. "What if I helped you keep those monkeys away from your peaches?" The snake wanted to hesitate, thinking that it was too much for the litte guy to help but he was pleased by Charlie's careness that he went with it. "Sure you can." The snake said while smiling.
Back at the ant mound, the aardvark has just arrived with his can of ant spray. "Alright ant come on, I got a surpise for you." Nothing happend. The aardvark understood though and tried his hardest to wait for Charlie to come out. Hour after hour, the aardvark grew tired and weak. Finally after the final hour, he gave up and realized that he wasn't home and deicided to explore through the jungle in order to find him. After exploring for a while, he discovered footprints that were tiny. "Those must be ant prints," He said while sniffing the ground with his long nose. "I think I might be closer." Sniffing the ground like a dog, the aardvark followed the tracks until they stopped at the peach tree. Looking up, he was surprised that a tiny ant could climb that high. "This is serious bussiness," He said. "I better go get something that'll make me get up there faster." Turning around, he quickly ran all the way back to his house to get something that would help him reach at lease some point of the peach tree.
