Hello people! Okay, so I read the rules and I think I'm doing this right. If I'm not....someone tell me and I'll fix it.
So, in English we had to write these short story things and this is mine. I just wanted to see what you guys thought of my writing.
This isn't a fanfiction of any book or anything, I wrote it all...I hope it's allowed...anyways, on with the story.

Rating: YA
Type: Action, Mystery, Romance...

Secrets of the Shadows

“Why are we here, Ethan?” Sarah whispered as we moved through the cemetery. It was a cool, quiet night with the moon glaring down at us. No one was around, but considering it was midnight and we were creeping around a graveyard, that wasn’t surprising. It was quite relieving actually. I couldn’t face this in front of other people, except Sarah of course.
I looked at Sarah, her eyes shining in the moonlight. “I’ve been coming every night to see…her. But I couldn’t face it alone tonight. I need you with me.”
There was a sigh and Sarah took my hand. She forced me to look at her. “Ethan, listen to me. I know you miss your mom. I know how hard this is. Trust me, I do. But this needs to stop. You can’t keep coming out here every night; it’s not good for you.”
I sat down suddenly, feeling as if my strength was seeping out of me. “I just, I don’t - it’s so hard. I don’t know what to do.”
“You need to accept that she’s gone and not coming back. You need to move on Ethan. Instead of thinking about the bad, think about the good. Think of all the great times you had together and let that be how you remember her.” Sarah said softly, crouching down next to me. “And no more coming to see her grave at night. Not only does it make it more difficult, but it’s not safe. You know that.”
I nodded, holding back a sob. She got to her feet and helped me up. “You’re right. Of course you are. You’re always right.” I smiled weakly. “Thank you. But…since we’re here…do you mind?”
“I guess we might as well.” Sarah sighed. “But let’s make it quick, it is really creepy out here.”
As we made our way through the graveyard, we were mice. The slightest sound echoed through the night. So of course I just had to fall over. My foot snagged on a root and I tumbled down, the quiet making it seem louder than it should. I landed face first and got a mouth full of wet leaves and dirt
“Ethan?” Sarah breathed. “Are you okay?” I nodded and started to push myself up when the gravestone to my right caught my eye. It was probably the brightest stone in the whole place which meant I could read it. The name was covered with vines but the inscription was clearly visible.
“That’s creepy,” I said. “This grave says ‘Beware the shadows.’ Is that ominous or what?”
“Come on, get up. I think we should go, I have a really bad feeling.” Sarah grabbed my shoulder, trying to pull me up. I resisted; I wasn’t going to leave without seeing the grave. “Ethan, please!”
“Oh, don’t go! That would ruin the party.” A voice called out from a nearby tree. A man stepped out of the shadows and began to work his way through the grave stones toward us. I scrambled up, putting myself in front of Sarah. As he came closer I saw that he was wearing a trench coat, all black, and had a hat pulled over his face. Not only was his appearance eerie, but his voice was razor-sharp and cold, almost sinister.
“Who are you? What do you want?” I asked coldly. The man’s lips pulled up into a smirk and he let out an unsettling and definitely evil laugh.
“Oh Ethan, you know me. Or at least, I know you.” he answered. I started to back up nervously, taking Sarah with me. “Don’t do that! You’ll only make this harder on yourself. Not to mention get the girl involved and I’m sure you don’t want to do that.”
“Run.” I whispered so the man wouldn’t hear. “And don’t stop until you find help.”
I could feel Sarah shaking her head behind me. “No, I’m not leaving you.”
I opened my mouth to retaliate and the man sighed. “Let’s cut to the chase. Now Ethan, I know you recently lost your mother, but you don’t really know how or why…do you?.” I froze and looked warily at him. “I know what you’re going to ask. ‘How did you know that, blah, blah, blah.’ Well, sadly enough, it was me, I killed her.”
I open my mouth again but nothing came out. This man had killed my mother? He’s the one who tore my family apart? He’s the reason for all of this? Rage washed through me, and a desire for revenge. I tried to say something fierce, something that would give me an upper hand. But all that came out was a weak “Why?”
“Well it’s complicated.” The man said continuing to walk towards us. “She was in the way of my plan. She refused to give me what I wanted, so she paid for it.”
I curled my hands into fists. This guy was a lunatic, but I wouldn’t give him the satisfaction of showing fear. “I’m going to ask you one more time. What do you want?”
“You, of course. Well, you dead, actually. That’s all I ever wanted and it’s taken me too long to get it.” The man hissed. “So I suggest that you tell your little friend to run. You wouldn’t want her hurt, would you?”
Without a thought, I lunged forward tackling him. Together, we fell to the ground in the heap, rolling over the grass, throwing punches in each other’s face. I wasn’t the type of person to get in a fight, but standing in front of the man who killed my mom, had the nerve to threaten Sarah, and put my life in danger, I lost it.
Neither of us could land a hit, though there was no lack of trying. It was so dark, I could barely see his face. My back hit a tree, allowing the crazy man to get on top of me and press his fingers into my throat. My air supply was cut off and I gasped for breath that wouldn’t come. My vision started to get fuzzy; the only thing I could hear was the man’s maniacal laugh and Sarah’s screams. Then suddenly air rushed into my lungs and there was the sound of rock hitting flesh. The man was holding his hands to his nose, blood gushing from his fingers.
“How dare you?” he roared at Sarah, who had obviously thrown the rock at his face. The man glared at me. “So much for leaving your girlfriend out of this.”
He moved so quickly that she didn’t even see it coming. Sarah fell back as the man slapped her cheek with such force that it rang out through the cemetery. He pulled out a knife that glinted in the darkness and held it to her chest. I couldn’t let this happen. There was no way. It took all my strength but I leaped up and knocked the man sideways, kicking the knife out of his hand. He screamed and punched me in the face, my nose cracking under his fist. I fell to my knees, trying to get up, but there seemed to be no strength left in my body. The man had picked up the knife and was standing over me. “Goodbye Ethan. It looks like you’ll be going the same way as your mother,” He whispered.
Time slowed as the knife flew towards me, but there was nothing I could do to save me or Sarah. It slammed into my stomach and I buckled forward, staring at the knife in my stomach. It looked almost dreamlike sticking out the way it was. But I knew it wasn’t a dream, because I felt every inch of the blade. The last thing I heard before my vision dissolved was a heart-wrenching cry and some very sinister laughter.

“Ethan, please wake up, you have to wake up.” Sarah voice rang in my ear. I blinked, the shapes and colours of the darkness slowly starting to reform around me. Sarah was kneeling next to me with tears streaming down her face. When she saw that my eyes were open she threw her arms around my shoulders. “Thank the gods, you’re alive.”
“What happened?” I croaked. My voice sounded tinny and hoarse. My mind flashed back to the last thing I remembered. The man, the knife, my stomach. I looked down and saw that the knife was gone but blood stained my shirt and the surrounding grass. I winced as the pain returned in full force.
“It was so confusing,” Sarah whispered. “He stabbed you and then started to come towards me, but then this other guy stepped out of the shadows, grabbed the first man, and dragged him away. It made no sense. I have no clue who either of them were. And then you were lying there not moving and there was so much blood!”
I put my finger to her lips. “Shhh, it’s okay. They’re gone now.”
“But then the guy that took away that man said, he came back and he-he said that there wouldn’t be any trouble from now on. I didn’t know what to do. I called 911 and managed to get the knife out of you.” Sarah gulped and pointed to the grass where I could barely see the silver of the blade. “But you’ve been unconscious for what has felt like forever. I was so scared that you wouldn’t wake up.”
I ran my hand through her hair, trying to calm her down. There was so much about this night that I didn’t know and didn’t get – but that could wait. “It’ll be okay Sarah. The paramedics will be here soon, I’ll be fine. I’m so sorry that I brought you here. It’s all my fault. I understand what you were trying to tell me now, a little too late, but I do.”
Sarah sniffled. “That’s good. I’m just glad you’re alive. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
I grabbed her hand and she lay down next to me, resting her head on my shoulder. “Ironic isn’t it, that I came here for the simple reason of saying goodbye, and end up in this giant mess? It’s definitely not what I expected.”
Sarah gave a weak laugh into my hair. I looked over at the knife that was still lying in the grass; the thing that had screwed up my life, in more ways than one now. It had some of my blood on it, looking black in the moonlight. I thought about what Sarah had said and realized how foolish I had been, thinking that I could keep my mother close by coming here every night. Look what it had caused. What I needed now was to remember everything we had shared and all that she had done for me; that was how I would hold onto her. Sarah and I lay there until we heard sirens in the distance, staring at the stars.

MI6 agent Scott Filbury waited quietly outside the office of the head of the department. He was not told why he had been summoned, but the agents usually weren’t. He sat still; the only movement were his eyes, darting to every corner of the blank hallway, trying to take in every detail of his surroundings as he had been trained to 6 years before. He was only 28 and had been recruited after saving 3 people in a burning building, showing a ‘desire for passion and justice’ as his profile read.
He noticed a fly near the bright lamps that were imbedded in the ceiling. He knew that soon the...

The sun fell on Amber's face and she woke up by the heat of it. She rubbed her eyes, trying to orientate, as she saw a man sitting next to her. He looked familiar. As she tried to recall she felt an insistent pain in her neck. She lay her hand on it, to see what it was.

"I bit you, that's why you're in pain" Stefan explained. Amber looked at him. "Who are you?" she asked, crawling backwards. Stefan reached out his hand. "I'm here to help you" he said softly.

Amber shook her head. "No, stay away from me!" she said terrified. Stefan didn't move an inch. "You need help. You're in transition, it's not a nice feeling if you don't feed anytime soon. I bet you're starving" he said.

Amber shook her head heavily as her stomach rattled. "I'm going home" she said with a breaking voice. "Leave me alone!" She scribbled up and staggered away from Stefan.

I tried my best. But, how could I do this? I hated what has happened to humanity today. I didn't want to be a part of it anymore. I got bitten, and there was nothing anyone could do about it. My arm throbbed where the zombie had grabbed on with strong arms and clenched down, crushing my bone. Without a second thought, I pointed my gun to its head, and pulled the trigger. The zombie that destroyed my life fell to the ground, blood pooling around its deformed head. I fell to the ground, screaming. I saw a figure threw the deep fog run to me with his gun pointing straight at the horde of zombies...

So, I'm going to be writing a story called the Song of Death. What it's about is that at Camp Half-Blood, campers are going missing. One of them is Onyxia Shroso, daughter of Hades. Her best friend, Josh Howrads(son of Melanie, goddess of ghosts), has been granted a quest to find them. But the prophecy warns of one dieing when they hear the Song Of Death, played by the muse of music. Will Josh find her in time, or will she have to listen to THE SONG OF DEATH?

Release date: I'm not sure of that right now, but hopefully before the end of the year.

Other info: You may add a character, provided you post for them. Onyxia and Josh are both 12

Since I made the choice to put off the rest of the story "In The Background," I've started thinking about fanfics based off of it. Yep, fanfics off a fanfic. The first one's going in Harry Potter.
Most of these will be post-DH (based on canon-time). I'lltry to be careful of spoilers, but I will usually assume you all know the basic storyline.
If that ISN'T the cse, by some weird twist of fate, just avoid the fanfics altogether.
Oh, one last thing. They're all one-shots. Some are first person, some are third. So far, they're all from Hailey's POV. Of course, if you have an idea for a one-shot, but need more information on Hailey, just let me know!

Alright so me and dragons memory came up with this idea that I'd interview her about some things mainly to get the popularity of In The Background up and also for you guys to find out some interesting things well here nt is.

A bit about the main character Hailey

Dragonsmemory: You probably want to hear a bit more about Hailey. She's Harry's twin. They really don't know who was born first, though. She looks like Lily, but has James' eyes. She also has a very strange talent. She knows exactly what to say to Harry to help him. It comes in handy during one of his famous rants. The story itself is...

Maddy's POV

Run.
The word echoed around my head.
I could hear the heavy footfalls of a male wolf behind me - and no ordinary wolf.
A werewolf.
Bryn was right, and you were stupid.
I knew I should never have left the pack, the Wayfarer, but after Bryn killed Lucas, I just couldn't stand to be there any more. Couldn't stand to have her as my Alpha.
Objectively, I knew it was Lucas's fault. He challenged Bryn - and a challenge to the Alpha must always be met in a fight to the death.
And now you are alone, Madison, alone as always.
I tried to ignore my...

The Society
In The Society, people were always grim; for the people never joked around and were always serious. The Society was a cruel place for humans, nothing ever happened in the land controlled by the government. The Society was a prominent place, for no one in the world dominated like them. Citizens despised The Society, yet they did not frustrate the government from taking over. They indeed did the opposite by helping them build their power, of course they...

Okay, my name is Jade...or May. May is easy to remember but I perfer Jade. I'm not really a popular person on here but I still get on regularly whether you know that or not. So, here are my predictions for the prophecies:

1Seven Half Bloods Shall Answer The Call, 2To Storm Or Fire The World Must Fall. 3An Oath To Keep With A Final Breath, 4And Foes Bear Arms To The Doors Of Death.

Okay, so this, to me, can have many meanings.

Line 1: So obviously it is seven demi-gods coming to help. No brainer there.

Line 2: Okay this could have many meanings. Storm or Fire, could be Percy, Jason, Thalia,...
