Catching Fire Review
Yes, I know I am not no big magazine or newspaper reviewer, but I'm a person with an opinion. So here is what I thought about Catching Fire.
Misterious. The science-fiction is this book makes you really wonder, think, and question our world. Such, as what if in the future what is something drastic were to happen and we were put into 12 districts limited supplies, and most all what if the your children or yourself had to go fight for your life. Well the Hunger Games brought that idea to life, and Catching Fire told us the aftermath of that idea. Even thought, Katniss won the games, Peeta also did and the Capitol are not willing to let that go. They will go to such lengths to punish her by death threats to her family, friends, and Gale! Everybody know how Katniss is, she will go to great lengths to protect them. President Snow will not be disobeyed, because he fears uprisings.
Action. What Katniss doesnt know that the second she pulled out those berries to save Peeta's life, she restarted the rebellion. Uprising began, explosions happened, and lives were killed. For What though? People were punished for their survial, tears were shed for the starving, and the unexpected happend that no one would ever picture, the victors were sent back, to fight once again for their lives.
Romance. People have chosen teams, Team Gale? or Team Peeta? In my opinion I cant choose neither because Peeta is just to hard to hate, and Gale just is just so perfect for her, you really cant choose. Lets just say in this book feelings unravel, exposed, and told. As, she realizes everything Gale has been suffering, or the realization of how much she owes Peeta for everything he has ever done for her, which means sacrificing himself for her. To go back to the Arena with her, were he is willing to die for her, knowing that even if he lives he will emotionally dead without her, and it turns out Katniss has the same plans, but to save Peeta, knowing he will be much more use to the world than her because Peeta is a leader, honest, and strong. Someone worthy of leading the rebelion. Then there's Gale who confesses his love to her... FINALLY! Katniss is so caught up in everything aroung her she doesnt even know how to respond. But when Gale is on the verge of death she realizes there is a lot more feelings for him then she knew... ;). Considering he saves her family in the end.
Unbelieveable. District 13 the place that was supposively destroyed. The People who may be living underground. The district that saves Katniss's life. Yes, the exsist, not only that but there their to save District 12 as they soon to disapper along with 13.
