What to say about this one? Did we need it? Did we ask for it? Not really.

But I watched it finally and now I can say... it was OK. The visual effects here are phenomenal just like Favreau’s previous take at The Jungle Book. There’s also rare little moments of fresh storytelling that help differ this movie from the original, even if only about ten or twenty minutes worth.

I also had several problems. Like I said above, there are a few moments that differ but overall this is the exact same story from scene to scene just about. That includes many lines of dialogue taken straight from the superior 1994 original.
The acting also was a mixed bag for me. Nobody was bad or terrible, but they mostly sounded bored like they didn’t want to be there. This upset me because even the great Mufasa sounded this way, James Earl Jones.
Personally I thought Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner’s Pumbaa and Timon had the best personalities out of the entire film and actually seemed to have fun with it.

The Lion King (2019) was what I figured it’d be. Not a great movie by a long shot but not terrible either. The visuals are amazing but they’re also the only REAL reason this one stands out from the original. I give it a C.

Hi guys, I just downloaded this movie a few months ago after not seeing it in many years. There are certain things that I dislike that I would like to write it down here, so here we go.

The Story-line

The story was borrowed from another Shakespeare classic, Romeo and Juliet. While I think they kept the Shakespearean tradition going on, I personally felt that they should be more original towards the story. The movie also left me a number of unanswered questions that I'm going to voice out.
Worse of all, they never explain how the Outlanders were banish as they were never introduce in the first...
