Rose was glad Teddy was the Gryffindor head boy. She hugged James, who tried to push her away, and walked with Albus to the front of first years.
"Make sure you all follow me!" Teddy called so everyone could hear. He turned to face Albus and Rose, only speaking to them. "Don't be like our dad's and go searching for an adventure before you get in the Common Room." Albus and Rose giggled as he lead them up the stairs. Some girls screamed as the stairs started to move. Rose stood there, already aware that they would move. Her mother read Hogwarts, A History to her when she was younger, so she knew a lot about the old and new castle.
Albus jumped a little when the stairs stopped moving with a jerk. He grabbed Rose's arm for balance and she laughed at him. They went up a couple more flights before reaching a portrait of a fat lady. Teddy turned around to face the first years.
"Okay, there is a password for you all to get in. You can't tell anyone except those in your House. Even if your friends are in, let's say Hufflepuff, you can't tell them." He turned back to the Fat Lady and said "Pudding pie." A few giggles filled the air because of the password. Teddy led them all into the Common Room, which had a few kids in it. One of the students was James, waiting for his brother and cousin. He smiled as Teddy gave instructions on how to get to the rooms.
As Albus headed up to the boys' dormitory, James stopped him.
"Why don't you hang out down here?" James asked his brother.
"I'm tired and I have classes tomorrow," Albus looked at James suspiciously. "Speaking of classes, don't you have them too?"
"Well, duh," James laughed. "Everyone has classes. But unlike others, I can stay up late and wake up early in the morning."
"Why don't you do that at home?"
"Because that's my holiday. Now you can go to bed." Jame's patted his brother's back and left to his own room. Albus headed to his dorm and found everyone else asleep. He silently put his robes on and got into bed, ready to start the next day.
