"Went with Danny to meet a friend, be back in a few hours"
Great, I thought crumpling up the piece of paper. What was I gunna do now? So I grabbed a peice of toast and headed out the door hoping not to get jumped again. I wasn't even two steps out when I saw a fight break out across the street. I ran over and saw three kids beating up this kid. I didn't know what to do. That's when I found an empty coke bottle lying on the ground and smashed the end off of it. I started to step closer and closer to them.
"Stop it let him go!" I yelled at them.
One of them must have saw me cuz they let go of the kid and started to walk over to me.
"What's a little girl going to do about it?" One of them said to me.
"This," I said running at them with the broken coke bottle in my hand screaming at the top of my lungs.
"Oh shit!" They yelled running away.
I looked at the kid who was on the ground. He was 15 or 16.
"You okay?" I asked him
"Ya this ain't my first rodeo," he said laughing
"Man I hate them, they jumped me yesterday," I said showing him the scar on my back.
"Man you look tough with that," he said
"Thanks, but trust me I ain't that tough." I said
"It's okay" he said
I smiled at him real sweetly. He was a really nice kid.
"I'm Ponyboy" he said
"Nice to meet you Ponyboy, I'm Beka."
"After they jumped Johnny there coming after the rest of us more."
"Who's Johnny?" I questioned
"He was my best friend, got really beat up, he was small, an easy target you know?"
"Ya i know what you mean," I said thinking about yesterday
"Wait what do you mean by he "was" you best friend?" I said
"He died in the hospital after a fire," he said tearing up a bit.
"Sorry 'bout you friend Pony," I said putting my hand on his shoulder.
"It's okay," he said
I got up and started to walk away when I herd Ponyboy shout
"Do you wanna meet the gang?"
"Sure" I said running torwards him

As we were walking to Pony's house he kept asking me tons of questions.
"How old are you Beka?"
"12," I told him
"No way your 12!" he said as his voice cracked a little
"Ya I am,"
"Can't belive a twelve year old saved me, I mean I'm 15 should be able to save myself by now,"
"It's know big deal and can you stop asking so many questions?" I said annoyed
"Ok just one more please?" he said giving me puppy dog eyes.
"Fine what is it?"
"Why would they jump a 12 year old girl?"
"That's what my brother said!" I exclamied telling him why I thought they jumped me.

When we reached his house we just walked in.
"Yo guys get in here I want you to meet someone!" he yelled
No one came.
"Must be watchin' something good," he told me as we walked into the living room.
A bunch of guys were watchin' a Mickey Mouse cartoon.
"Didn't ya hear me?" Ponyboy said grabbing the remote off the table and shutting off the T.V.
"Awwww come on Ponyboy that was my favorite part!" A guy in a Mickey Mouse shirt whinned.
"Hey guys, this is Beka," Ponyboy said introuducing me.
"Beka this is Soda, Darry, Steve,and Two-Bit."
"Hey" I said sitting down on the table
I was shy because these guys looked tough, like the beat you up kinda tough.
"What happened to your throat Ponyboy?" Darry asked him
Darry and Soda are his older brothers. They reminded me alot like Danny and Sherri.
"Got jumped by them damn Socs ," he replyed
"What have I told you about walking alone?"
"Sorry Darry,but Beka here saved me," he said.
"Well then ain't that nice," Darry said smilling at me
"You got that right!" Ponyboy said hugging me
"Look guys little Ponyboy's got himself a girl friend now," Soda chuckled
"Shut up Soda, she's not my girl friend!" Ponyboy said punching Soda's arm
"We gonna have another rumble next saturday aganist them Socs, wanna join Beka?" Two-Bit asked me.
"Sure I ain't afraid to fight," I said trying to act tough
"We gonna beat them Socs like we did last time," He added taking the remote from Ponyboy.
Once he turned it on his eyes were glued to the T.V.
"Wow,wow,wow, wait a sec when did we agree that we were going to fight them again?" Steve said.
"Uhhhh" he said painicing,"It was Soda's idea!"
"What!? No, it was all Two-Bit's idea!" Soda said suprised
"Well I was talking with one of them and they said that they wanted a rematch," Two bit said looking up from the T.V
"Why would they want a rematch?" Ponyboy asked Two-Bit
"Because Dally was there and he wasn't suppose to be cuz he was in the hospital."
"That shouldn't matter though!" Ponyboy said puzzled
"It does little bro,It matters because he was the toughest and they don't think it was fair so thay want a rematch. Now stop asking so many questions!" Darry said
"I have to go home, my foks might be wondering where i am," I said heading for the door.
"Okay i'll walk you home," Ponyboy said walking behind me
"Bye Beka," Soda said punching my arm then russling my hair.
We walked out the door and Ponyboy asked,
"Wanna be a part of the gang?"
"Sure, I'd love to," I said
And with that we walked back to my house
“No you’re too young.” He says, munching on some chips.
“You’re too young too.” Ponyboy says, annoyed.
“But I gotta look after you, kiddo. You don’t want to end up like me. Well actually I take that back. You do kinda wanna end up like me; a successful sex god.”
“You are not a sex god.”
“Yes I am. Are you blind?”
“I obviously have better vision than you.”
Steve tackles Ponyboy, pinning him the ground.
“Take it back, Horseman.”
“Nope.” Ponyboy laughs.
“You better, or I will fucking beat your ass.”
“Ok, ok, you have ok vision.”
“Thank you.” Steve says, getting off of Ponyboy.
“Welcome.” Ponyboy mutters.
“You’re alright kid.”
Darry looks at you in complete shock. “What?”
“I’m pregnant, and I think we should put the baby up for adoption.” You say in rushed words.
He just gives you a funny look.
“Money’s tight…” You continue. “It wouldn’t be fair to bring up a child like this… And I don’t know if you even want it… I’d think it’d be best for him or her.”
“What’s best for our baby is living with it’s parents who will work hard to make a good life for them.” He smiles at you.
Two-Bit kissed your lips lightly and smiled. You smiled back at him. "Why are you so happy?" You asked. "I'm so happy because I have the most beautiful girl in the world laying right next to me." He said as he wrapped his arms around you. You felt your cheeks heat up. Two-Bit chuckled and you laughed along with him. "I love you." He whispered. "I love you to." You answered. Two-Bit rested his head on your shoulder. He whispered about how beautiful you were and how much he loved you, up until you both fell asleep.
