You sighed, chin on the edge of the back of the couch, staring out the window. Christmas Eve and no snow.
You scrunched your nose, annoyed at the weather.
“What’s wrong babe?” Ponyboy asks you, handing you a mug of hot chocolate.
“There’s no snow.” You whine, taking the hot chocolate from him.
“You look cute, all whiney and in your pjs.” He laughs.
“Well at least they have snowflakes on them. Toss me the marshmallows.”
He tosses you the bag. You open it sigh, and dump about half the bag in your mug.
“That’s alot….” Ponyboy says.
“It’s the only white Christmas I’m going to have.” You shrug.
“I don’t know… You might want to take a look outside.” He says smiling.
You turn around to see the flurries of snow just starting to fall.
You smile, hop off of the couch, and run to the door. You tug on your boots and throw on your coat. You fling the door open, and take a look up at the sky, and smile.
You run down the front walk way,laughing and spinning around, arms wide.
“It’s finally snowing!” You yell, laughing. And you fall to the ground, looking up at the sky.
Ponyboy comes out at lays on the ground next to. “I’ve been dreaming,
Of a white Christmas.” He sings. He leans over to kiss you. “Merry Christmas.”
“Hmmm… Merry Christmas.” You mumble.
“I got all of Danny’s presents under the tree.” He says, snuggling down into the bed a little more.
“Did you remember the football?” You ask.
“Yeah, I remembered that. It’s the best gift.” He smiles. “He’ll love it.”
“Yeah…” You mumble.
“Before you fall back asleep, I have a present for you.” He whispers to you.
“Mhmm?”
He leans over you, showing you a black box.
You open it, to see the most beautiful necklace.
“It was my mom’s.” he mutters. “I thought you’d like it.”
“I love it.”
“Merry Christmas, honey.”
