“Katie no.”
“Katie we aren’t frosting our face.”
“Katie-Kat.” I sigh. My five year old daughter had red and green frosting all over her face, and sprinkles on her cheek. Her grin was as bright as the sun.
“But it tastes yummy.” She giggles.
I pick her up, taking her to the sink. “But it tastes better on Christmas cookies, not your face.” I say, trying not to laugh at her. “Let’s get you cleaned up, ok?” I take the a dish towel and wipe the the frosting from her face. She keeps licking the frosting around her mouth, trying to eat as much frosting as she could before I wiped it off. I smile.
“This is yummy.” She says. “Can we do this every day?”
“No, you’ll get chubby.”
“I’ll be a chubby bunny.” She giggles.
“Yes. A very chubby bunny.” I say as I wipe the last of the frosting off her face and sitting her down on the floor.
“A cute very chubby bunny?” She looks up at me, eyes wide.
“The cutest.” I smile reassuringly. “But right now you’re the cutest Katie-Kat, and we need to finish making Christmas cookies.”
“Then can we eat all the cookies with Sam?” She asks.
“Haven’t you eaten enoughI already? That’s a lot of sugar, love.”
She rolls her eyes. “You can never have enough sugar love daddy.”
I smile. “You’re right Katie-Kat.”
We saw a car going around the park. Uh-oh. It wasn't just any old car. It was Bob's car. "We should make a run for it." I said to Pony "No we should stay." he said back. Carli and I sat behind them staring at Bob and all the others. Carli said to all of us. "Why can't Bob walk around the door instead of over it? What is it to much energy?" We all wanted to laugh,but, then they would be on to us. "You know what a greaser is? Whitetrash with long greasy hair." Bob said. We all got a sick feeling because that hurt all of us. Even though me and Carli only sneak a drop of it here and there... it still hirt us. Ponyboy said "Oh ya well do you know what asoc is? "What" said Bob "Whitetrash with mustangs and madras." Then he spit at them. Why pony why? we all run as fast as we could. I guess it was not fast enough because next thing I knew I was on the ground next to Johnny and Carli. "Where is Pony?" I asked all shaky "Is he dead?" "No I'm all alright." Ponyboy said
