“Hey, babe.” I hear y/n say from behind me.
“Hey! What you doin here?” I say, giving her a tight hug.
“Ew you’re all greasy.” She says, wrinkling her nose.
“Oh, you like it.” I laugh, squeezing her even tighter.
“I brought you something.” She smiles. “A treat for your break from work.”
“What is it?” I ask excitedly.
“Well maybe if you’d let me go I’d tell you.”
I immediately let go of her. “What did you get me?” I say, grinning from ear to ear.
She pulls out a bag from behind her back.
The most beautiful thing, besides y/n, was in her hands.
Fried Chicken.
I grab the bag.
“Did I tell you I loved you today?” I smile.
“This morning… Yeah.”
“Well I’m going to say it again. And a million times more.” I say.
“Wanna go out back and eat?” She says.
I sprint towards the back.
I loved my fried chicken.
She catches up with me, sitting in the grass next to me.
“Can I have a piece before you eat it all?” She laughs.
“I’ll give you two.” I say, mouth already full of chicken.
“Thanks for the consideration,” she smirks.
“That is the most chicken I have shared with anyone.” I point out.
“I actually do believe that.” She grins.
“You’re a lucky duck.” I smile.
“Because I got you.” She says, leaning in.
