"I WANNA DANCE! AND LOVE! AND DANCE, AGAIN!" Cassie and Cheyenne sat in the floor of Renee's bedroom, staring up as their hyperactive cousin flew around the room singing Dance Again by J. Lo and Pitbull. The two girls on the floor eyed each other.
"Wow. Renee is crazy." Cheyenne remarked.
"I know. But we love her." Cassie said, rolling her eyes.
"Come on! Sing with me!" said Renee, flying down and grabbing Cassie's hands, dragging her up to the ceiling with her. Cassie momentarily freaked out, before letting go of Renee's hands, taking flight herself. On rare occasions, Cassie allowed herself to act stupid and crazy, and tonight was one of them, apparently, for she began singing:
"If this would be a perfect world, we'd be together then! Who cares what they're gonna say! I just wanna dance, and love, and dance, again!"
Chey stared up at her two cousins, before shrugging and flying up to join them. She changed her voice from sweet and girly to manly and deep, rapping Pitbull's part, making Cassie and Renee laugh.
"What?" Cheyenne giggled, "Didn't I make a good Pitbull?"
"Nope. Not really." Renee smirked.
"Screw you!" Cheyenne said, grabbing a pillow and hitting her cousin in the face. Cassie laughed.
"Look at her now. Look at her now. She's gettin' pillows!" said Cassie.
"That's a lame remix."
"Who cares."
"Touche'."
There was a knock on Renee's door.
Renee flew down to open it. It was Blossom.
"Can you girls quiet down a little bit? We're trying to watch a movie."
They turned the music off.
"Sorry mom," said Cassie.
"It's okay Cassie, just behave up here. You know what happened last time." Blossom warned.
Cassie winced. Not exactly the best thing she wanted to remember...
"Okay aunt Blossom, sorry. We'll be good," Renee promised. Cheyenne simply nodded. Blossom smiled, before shutting the door and heading downstairs as Butch shouted,
"I KNEW IT!!!! SHE DIDN'T MAKE THAT BANANA PUDDING!" (AN: They're watching some comedy xD)
Brick gave him a weird look.
"After all these years you're still and idiot."
"After all these years you're still a douche."
"Shut up and watch the damn movie before I pound your all's faces!" Buttercup snapped. Brick looked at Butch.
"She on her period again?" Butch cracked up, but Buttercup glared at him, immediately shutting him up.
"I've got the popcorn!" said Bubbles, walking into the TV room.
"Woot!" They cheered, eating it all, not saving Bubbles or Blossom any. Blossom and Bubbles simply shook their heads, with smirks on their faces. They lived with animals.
"MOM! WHERE'S MY MARSHMALLOWS?" Cassie yelled from the kitchen. Blossom sighed.
"On the table, honey," she replied. If it's one thing Cassie couldn't live without; it was marshmallows.
"Okay, yay!" Cassie snatched them off the table, running into the TV room.
"Found them!" she said. Everybody looked at her.
"Found what?" Buttercup asked.
"My marshmallows!" said Cassie, grinning as though she won the lottery.
"Oh. I thought you meant Butch's mind; he's lost it!" Buttercup replied, before laughing at her own joke. Butch glared at her, before playfully pushing her off the couch. The two then proceeded to hit each other with pillows like the girls had done earlier. Cassie simply stared at them, before shrugging and stuffing a marshmallow in her mouth.
"I think you'll need another bag soon." said Brick. Cassie stared into her bag of sweet fluffiness, realizing he was right.
"DARN! I just bought these yesterday!" Cassie wailed.
"Well, as soon as we get them, you scarf them down," said Blossom.
"Yeah, I know. But they're amazing! RENEE, CHEYENNE! GET DOWN HERE!" Cassie yelled. Her two cousins sped down the stairs.
"Yo dawg! What's shakin'?" Renee asked. Cheyenne gave Cassie a look that said Don't Ask.
"Uh, okay? I've got marshmallows!"
"Yeah and?" Chey asked, clearly not seeing the miniature pillows for the glory that Cassie thought they were.
"And they're the greatest things ever!" Cassie said, tossing the bag into the air, and catching it. Blossom laughed.
"Cassie, you think every food is the greatest thing ever." she said.
"Well so? Food is food. Food is yummy. And so are marshmallows."
"So, after this movie, you girls need to go to bed. It's almost midnight." said Bubbles.
"Aww man! Why?" said Cheyenne.
"Listen to your mother." said Boomer.
"Okay fine." Chey pouted. The girls sat on the floor, and watched the movie. Well, Cassie was thinking about Braxton, for some reason. Which was probably why she didn't hear Cheyenne telling her it was time for bed, until she literally screamed it. For Cassie, this was very unfortunate, for like her mother, Cheyenne could scream loudly.
"EARTH TO CASSANDRA! STOP DAYDREAMING ABOUT YOUR BOYFRIEND AND COME ON!"
Cassie blushed. "It's 'Cassie.' And he's not my boyfriend."
"You wish he was."
"Well you wish Burn was!"
"And I wish Blix was!" Renee shouted, earning stares from her cousins.
"Let's face it; we all do. I mean, we can't help what we feel, right?" Cassie asked. She used to think crushes were for sissies, but she soon got over that as she got older.
"Right. I wonder if they like us back?" Cheyenne asked.
"Well, we'll find out one day, maybe." Renee added hopefully.
"Braxton grabbed my butt today." said Cassie.
"What?" Cheyenne asked, as Renee stared at her.
"He grabbed my butt." Cassie repeated.
"When?" Chey and Renee asked in unison.
"At the mall. You two were paying for our meals, and Braxton grabbed me." Cassie replied.
"Well? What did you do?" Cheyenne asked.
"I punched him in the face."
"Cass, that won't get a guy to like you," said Renee.
"Well, that's how I am. If you don't like me for who I am; forget you, I don't need you." said Cassie.
"I guess that's true," Renee replied.
"Yep. Well, I'm going to bed," said Cassie, walking out of the room and into her own. The other two girls descended into their own rooms as well. Just as Cassie was about to doze off, she heard a rock come into contact with her window. Drowsily, she walked over to the window. Her eyes snapped open at who she saw. Down on the ground, in the shadow of the trees, was Braxton. Cassie's heart sped up. What is he doing here? she wondered. Cassie opened the window.
"What are you doing here?" she whispered, knowing that he could hear her, because like the rest of them, Braxton had sensitive hearing.
"I wanted to see you." Braxton whispered back. Cassie smiled, and quietly lept out the window, flying silently to the ground.
"Um, hey." she said, getting shy. Braxton smirked at this. He really liked her, and thought she was cute in her red pajama pants and white t-shirt that said 'Welcome to Dreamland' in big black letters with a red lightning bolt behind the text. Cassie noticed him staring and blushed.
"Heh, sorry..I look awful." she said nervously.
"No, you look kind of...cute." Braxton said, blushing as he said this. Cassie smiled.
"So, what'd you wanna see me for?" she asked.
"Actually, I wanted to talk to you about something," he said, blushing and rubbing the back of his neck.
"You wanna take a walk?" Cassie asked him.
Braxton smiled.
"I'd go anywhere with you." he replied, sounding sincere. Cassie liked that she got to see this side of him. So they walked down the sidewalk, using the moon as their light.
"Well, Cassie, first of all, I want to apologize for grabbing you earlier."
"Do you really mean it or is this because I punched you?" Cassie smirked.
"No, I really mean it." Braxton replied, stopping and taking both of her hands and looking her in the eyes. Cassie smiled, locking her fingers in his.
"Cass..I don't care if my family forbids me liking you, I do. The feelings are just there, and they have been for awhile. I understand if you don't feel the same way, but I wanted to tell you how I feel.." he trailed off. Cassie was shocked. So he did feel the same way...
"No, Braxton, I like you too." she replied. Braxton looked at her, shocked at this.
"Really? Even after-"
"Yes, even after every mean thing you've said or done. I like you. A lot." Cassie replied.
Braxton wrapped his arms around her, and pulled her close. Cassie blushed intensely.
"I like you a lot as well." Braxton whispered, before tilting his head and pressing his lips against hers. Cassie's eyes widened in surprise. My first kiss..I always wondered what it would be like...she thought.
Braxton pulled away, still holding her. Cassie felt like she was walking on air.
"You okay?" he asked her.
"Yeah.." Cassie said, dazed.
"So..are we boyfriend and girlfriend?" Braxton asked. Cassie kissed him.
"Of course." she said, smiling.
"Um.." Braxton said, blushing. Cassie smiled.
"We'll have to keep this secret though, okay? We can tell our cousins, but nobody else." said Cassie seriously.
"I know.." said Braxton, "If only my mom didn't care.."
"Who is your mom?"
"Berserk of the Powerpunk Girls."
