"NOOOO! MISS SUZUMIYA PLEASE! I DON'T WANNA WEAR THAAAAT! EEEEEEEP!" I heard a helpless Miss Asahina screaming from outside of the clubroom.
"GaH! Mikuru! C'mon! You'll look totally cute in this! You'll have guys falling for you like dead flies!!" Haruhi screeched at her.
Eh, Probably not a good idea to go in there right now. Takeshi walked past me and patted me on the back. "I feel so sorry for you, bud." He said as he walked past me. I sighed. The things I had to deal with. Kyon wasn't doing a very good job of keeping Haruhi under control these days, So I guess that's my job too now.
After the room was quiet, I knocked on the door to make sure it was okay to come in.
"COME IN! YOU'RE GONNA LOVE MIKURU'S SMEXEH NEW OUTFIT!" Haruhi shouted. I took a deep breath and opened the door and stepped inside.
Mikuru was standing in a black cat costume. Oh, that's right. Today was the 31st of october so of course Haruhi wanted to celebrate halloween. Haruhi was also wearing a costume, she was dressed as some candy-corn maid looking outfit. I put my bag down and sat down. Mikuru looked around nervously. Haruhi walked over to her and set her arm on her shoulder.
"So, how do we look?" Haruhi grinned.
I studied them for a minute. Haruhi looked great in her costume, orange looked really good on her.
I nodded and smiled. "You look great."
"GOOD! Because the Brigade is hosting a halloween dance this year!" She sung. "And everyone needs to wear a costume!" She smiled. "So I got costumes for you and Kyon too!" She shoved it into my arms. "You're matching me, and Kyon's matching Mikuru!" She smiled again.
"Alright, thank you." I took the costume and walked to the bathroom to change.
The costume was a black suit like thing with a few parts that were candy-corn colored with a top-hat thing and a ribbon I think I'm supposed to clip to my ear. I looked in the mirror. It actually didn't look bad at all. I walked back to the clubroom.
"GOOD! You look great Itsuki!" Haruhi grinned. I finally found out why I had this ribbon on my ear. She had the same one in her hair. She rubbed her cheek on mine. "You're too cute!" I laughed. "Thank you..." I smiled.
Kyon walked into the room wearing cat ears. "Do I really have to?" He groaned.
"Yeah! I told you! The party starts in like, 10 minutes! Everyone's gonna be there!" Haruhi said, her face still glued to mine. Nagato sat in the corner in her witch outfit. She really loved that thing, didn't she?
Haruhi grabbed my hand and pulled me to the direction of the gym. "C'mon, let's get down there! It's gonna be so fun!" She sung as she ran down the stairs. Why was she paying attention to me all of the sudden? ...Perhaps I'm taking Kyon's spot in Haruhi's important scale? I wish. But whatever the reason was, I liked it.
We reached the gym and it was packed full of people. All of them in costumes. The Esper and Lauren stood in one corner with Yoh and Nikko. The Esper was dressed in a cosplay of someone from TDI {I think that's what it was}, Lauren was a french maid, Yoh was something in a long black coat and a red headband with white gloves {whatever that may be. Oh god, a rapist?!} And Nikko was also cosplaying as someone from TDI {right?!}.
Haruhi ran over to them.
"Hey! You all look great!" Haruhi smiled.
Lauren flipped her hair. "Thanks." She smiled.
"Dude, what's with Taniguchi? He dressed as a tatortot." The Esper laughed.
I looked over and he was dancing the "funky chicken" in a giant tatortot outfit.
I heard someone burst out laughing. I think we all knew who that was. I grabbed Haruhi.
"Hey, how about we dance for a bit?" I smiled.
She nodded. "Sure!" She took my hand and dragged me to the dancefloor. A slow song was playing and her cheeks flushed. I laughed and put my arms around her waist. She wrapped her arms around my neck and we slowly moved in circles.
"This was a good idea," I complimented.
She nodded. "We never have dances anymore, so I asked If the Brigade could hold one and the principal really didn't care."
I laughed. "I really love your costume by the way,"
Haruhi smiled. "Thanks. I really only bought it because I wanted to see you in this one. I thought it would look perfect on you, which it does." She poked my stomach.
I laughed again. "Well, thank you for thinking about me."
We danced silently for a while.
"Miss Suzumiya, could I ask you a quick question?" I broke the silence.
She nodded. "Alright. Why is it that you started paying attention to me out of the blue? I mean before, you hardly noticed my exsistance." I half smiled.
Haruhi gasped. "That's not ture! ...I made you deputy chief!"
"Yes, and thank you. But really. You and I know it's odd you pay so much attention to me now."
Haruhi sighed. "Alright Koizumi here's the deal. This doesn't happen like, ever. But, I like you. And I'm not kidding. Well, not like. More like...
love you" She whispered the last two words.
I smiled. "That's good to hear because I was just thinking the same thing."
Her eyes widened. I grabbed her by the hand and pulled her into me, my lips meeting hers.
We stopped twirling and kissed softly, our kiss then turning into more. We kissed eachother hard, both wanting more. Both of us finally experincing our first romance, and we both knew it was the best feeling ever, to be in love with someone that loved you back.
