Hi! This chapter will be really long since I wanted to include a lot in it and I didn't want to space it out. Enjoy!


Chapter 5
Savannah's POV

"What the hell is he doing here"?, Mom asked. Edward looked at me. "I think I know what he wants"., he said. "Did the Volturi send him"?, Dad asked. "I don't know"., Alice said. "I can't see anything going on in Italy. What's he thinking, Edward"? "I don't know either. Strange. His mind is like Bella's. I could hear his thoughts perfectly fine the last time I saw him. I wonder what is wrong"? Italy? What did that have to do with anything? Something told me not to bring it up. We got out of the car. Everybody stared at us. "Everybody's staring"., I said to Emmett. "They all think we're hot. You'll get used to it". We walked inside. The first place we had to go to was the main office. The secretary handed out our schedules, maps of the school with the best routes to our classes hilighted, and passes for our teachers to sign. At the end of the day, we were to bring back the signed passes to the office. I looked at my schedule and compared it to Alicia's as we were in the same grade. We had 3 classes together:biology, calculus, and mythology. We all had the same lunch together. I went off to my first class:history. When I got in, all of the students stopped talking. They all looked at me. I really hated that much attention. Just then, the teacher came in. "All right people, take your seats"., he said. Then, he spotted me. "And you are"? I cleared my throat. "I'm Savannah Cullen. I'm new here". "Ah yes. Miss Cullen. I'm Mr. Washington. May I have your pass"? I handed him the pass. "Thank you". He signed it and returned it to me. "You sit in the middle seat. Right over there". He pointed. "Thank you". I sat down. All of the students' eyes followed me. I tried to concentrate but, people kept looking at me. Then, the bell rang. I left the classroom. I found my locker. Alec was leaning against the one next to it. "Hi"., I greeted him. "Hello Savannah. How are you today? Doing well, I suppose". "Yes I am. And how are you"? "I am fine. What is your next class"? "Drama". "Ahhh... the arts. I have the same class. May I walk there with you"? "Yes. Just let me put my history book in my locker". "Of course". After I had done that, we walked to class together. "So, how long have you been a vampire"?, I asked. "Since 1740. My sister and I were about to be burned at the stake when a vampire called Aro saved us". "Oh". We had arrived at the classroom. It was the auditorium. Alec opened the door for me. "Thank you"., I said. "It really is no problem. It is how I was raised". The classroom turned out to be a room in the auditorium. Alec opened the door for me there also. There were several students in the room not counting the teacher. The teacher was a tall man with dreadlocks. He spoke with a french accent. "Take your seats"., the teacher said. When we took our seats, the teacher spoke again. "I am your new drama teacher. Your old teacher, Ms. Cope has died as I am sure you have heard. My name is Laurent Nomade. You may call me Laurent. I understand that we have some new students as well. Where are Alec Volturi and Savannah Cullen"? Alec and I raised our hands. "Well then, you may start our first monolouge". He handed us our scripts. It was Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. "Savannah, you will be Juliet and Alec will be Romeo. Start at the highlighted scene". It was the scene where Juliet awoke and found her new husband dead. Alec performed beautifully. We all took turns reading from different scenes. Then, the bell rang. Alec offered to walk with me to my next class even though he didn't have it. I said yes. "You performed beautifully"., Alec said. "It was as if you were Juliet herself". "You flatter me, Alec". "No. I mean it". We had arrived at my class. "Well Juliet, I shall see you later". And with that, he took my hand and placed a kiss on it. Dumbstruck, I watched him as he walked away.
