*Making A Promise*
I heard his name over and over again in my head before I spoke back at him.
Gregory. Gregory. Gregory.
My heart thumped in my chest again, but this time it wasn't telling me to run.
It was telling me, 'Speak stupid! Speak!' It took all my energy to force my mouth to move. Finally, when my voice reached my lips, I was horrified at how scratchy it was.
"I'm allright." I said. It was barely a whisper. I remebered how thirsty I was. He looked at me and the grin turned into a teethy smile.
My heart stopped. He was so beautiful.
"That's good." He said, meeting my eyes. His were blue. Not sky blue, or grayish blue, but icy blue. Even in the dim moon light they sparkled back at me. I smiled back, my dry lips cracking in protest.
"What's your name?" He asked softly.
"Catherine. Cat for short." I answered with my gross, scratchy voice. He smiled and repeated my name to himself.
"Catherine."
I blushed at the sound of my name coming from his perfect mouth. He just kept smiling.
I had so many questions. Like who were those men? Why did they want to kill me? What had I seen that was so terrible? But the most important one... The one that kept slapping me in the face as if to say, 'Wake up Cat, are you blind? Drop dead handsome men don't just stroll around the darkness searching for a lady to save!'
I couldn't hold my tongue any longer, awe struck as I was.
"Who are you?" I whispered. He was silent, so at first I wasn't sure if he had heard me. But then he spoke again.
"I'm Gregory," he hesitated, "Smith." He looked at me as if I had just woken up out of a coma. I stared back at him.
"I'm very thankful for you saving me in all, but may I ask how you knew I was here? I mean, most people don't walk around lumber yards at night." I looked at his perfect face. It twitched a little, and his eyes narrowed on mine.
"I could ask you the same question." He said flatly. I shook my head.
"I think you could guess how I got here. I didn't offer for those men to drag me here and kill me." I said, remembering what Gregory had just done infront of me. He killed a man. A man who was going to kill me. Saving me in the process, but it was murder no less. Gregory smiled at me, and for once in his company, the whole 5 minutes I had been in his company, I was frightened.
"This world isn't what it seems. People aren't always what they appear to be, Catherine." He said, leaning towards me, breathing his sweet breath in my face. I nearly collapsed.
Just like that he stood up, looking down at me.
"I'm willing to tell you everything I know about every question you have." He said, holding out his hand to me. I reached for it and he held my dry fingers in his palm. His hand was very cold. I shivered. He began to pull me up, but stopped and stared at me.
"But first you need to promise me something." He said coldly. I shivered again, nodding.
"Say you'll promise. I need to hear you say it." He said.
"Yes I promise." I said, confused. My heart was nearly jumping from my chest, my throat screaming back at me each time I spoke. I was so thirsty. He bent down to my ear, pushing his sweet smell towards me again, and again I felt as though I was going to faint. His voice was low as a whisper.
"Promise me that you won't tell a soul about what I tell you." He paused. "Or what you already saw."
I shook my head, feeling my hair touch his cheek that's how close he was. "I won't tell anybody, I promise."
Suddenly there was an arm around me, and I was thrust into the air. He swong my legs onto his left arm, and swiftly let go of my hand, catching my back with his right arm before I nearly smashed my head on the dirt. He lifted my face up to his in one brief movement and smiled. My mouth dropped in shock.
"That obviously was abnormal, so lets start with this shall we?" He asked, nearly laughing. His arms around me felt hard and strong, not at all affected by my wieght. Not like there was much to me anyway. I just nodded at him, still amazed that I was no longer on the ground. He grinned at me, his jaw flexing in the moon light.
"I'm not human."
I heard his name over and over again in my head before I spoke back at him.

But i will be making new stories with my free time, some will be a story like rosalies secret(though not necessarly refering to that story) and others will be in script form like day with the cullens. i just want to say thanks for the support and if you have any ideas on a story that you want to read just let me know by either commenting on this article or sending me a message.
