UFO & Aliens Article: Are we ready for aliens?

Recently i have been devulging into the studies of space science and the possibility that aliens could come to our earth. Throughout my studies i have found many things saying aliens have come in the past to earth, aliens are comin to earth, or aliens are already here and the government is just keeping them from us. And throughout this whole time a question has poked at me:

If aliens were to come to Earth, would we really be ready for it?

I have thought long and hard about this and I am here today to share my opinion on this matter.

First reason why were not ready:
Violence. Violence is a part of human nature. Its part of what makes us us. War has always been around and its seems almost impossible to elimanate violence and fighting from our society. If the fact that violence and fighting would be impossible to elimanate is true then why should we try to expand out into the universe and try to meet other beings of intellegence. Would you want to be the one to cause violence in a once pacifist race? I think it would be a very bad idea to expand and spread violence into the universe uand that we shouldnt until we have ourselves under control. Now many might counter-argue that violence might of been what got these oh so powerful races into power but i argue otherwise. If these races are so advanced then wouldnt they have elimanated violence from their communities? Because violence and fighting can slow down a race and can distract them from the big picture.

Second reason why were not ready:
Intellegence. Our world is very advanced these days. Technolgy is thriving and science is prevailing (at least in my eyes it is). But how would our knowledge compare to an advanced alien race? From an advanced alien races' eyes were just a piece of dust on the side of the road. If an alien race even noticed us and took the time to study us for a little bit, they would see were not actually that smart. I mean we cant even fix our environmental problems. In this universe we are the babies. There is no real point in trying to communicate with us because we hold no real knowledge or at least no knowledge of any use to an advanced alien race. In my opinion I think we need to evolve a little more before we try to reach out to another race.

Third and final reason why were not ready:
people The final reason why were not ready is people because no matter how evolved we are or how peaceful we are we must accept that violence and hysteria will always be present and that there will always be ignorant people. Lets say that aliens do come and greet us. Great. But we dont know how the human race will react. One person might greet them and welcome them to earth with open arms but thats not everybody. I was once told that fear can make people do crazy things If this is true then imagine what will happen to the guy that meets an alien who upon even just seeing the alien, fears his life. This is how most people do react. Fear will always be present no matter what happens in life, so i f fear does take over then hysteria and violence could take over. Imagine if this occured to a whole nation,no a whole race of beings. The results could be horrifying.

I would like to personally thank you for reading my little rant i just wrote and i hope i sparked some thoughts into your head that you might want to ponder. I am welcoming anyone to comment on this article with their own thoughts. I would love for somebody to show me their view point. Thank you.

HouseMindFreak Your thoughts are exactly what mine are. People are too arrogant to even think of the fact that [b]WE[/b] are not an intelligent race and we are not the center of the Universe. Sure, we are an intelligent race on THIS planet but not compared to other civilizations in other galaxies. But if you think about it, there are other animals that I believe are more intelligent than us because they are not bound by arrogance, they are lead by their instincts. So no, right now at our current level as humans...we are not ready to meet other intelligent life forms, maybe some people are though but they are outnumbered.

lakota_spirit ^i agree, how many reports have been made of ufo sightings been chased off by the airforce? I find it sad and embarrassing that as a race we can react with such violence, not only to ourselves but to an alien race that for all we know could/would help us to evolve. Me personally i would welcome a change with open arms, it would be scary at first as life as you know it would never be the same and there would be no going back. But on the other hand why would they want to make contact? Hopefully they would never judge a race by the actions of our leaders.

avatar2012 thanks guys for the comments. Im happy im not the only one thinking that were not ready for aliens. I agree completely that it is sad and embrassing when we react with violence. I myself would welcome them in peace but i know that most the world wouldnt. I can only hope this will change one day.

HouseMindFreak I would definitely be friendly & open to any extraterrestrials coming to Earth. We could learn many things from them if only most people would be willing to learn.

avatar2012 very true. If we were ever to get into contact with an extraterrestrial race they could teach us many things in the field of engineering, technolgy, science and maybe even math. Though right now we are not ready. a good example is back in the 1930's where a radio broadcast played. It was a fictional playing of an alien invasion but people thought it was real. They litterally moved to the mountains while others grabbed guns and prepared to fight. Imagine what it would be like now.

HouseMindFreak The majority of people never think before they do, they just react to the situation without even thinking of the consequences of their actions. If we're supposed to be different from animals than why do we always act like animals? Animals do not know any better as they only go by their instinct but they know when danger is around but people...we think everyone and everything is out to kill us.

avatar2012 That is such a good point. If were ever to advance we will need to learn to start thinking before taking action. If we dont learn this vital lesson we will never make it off this planet and expand to become allies with other races of the galaxy.

Extra-T I believe that aliens has been here Long ago, that changed our ways of living, gave us a civiliation, even jumped started our genes, if anyone has heard about the HAR1 gene, that only humans has, and no other molykyle on planet earth could evolve to this gene, as far as we know, without it, we wouldn't evolved our inteligence, in a old civilitation, they found 44 of dead remains, of people holding hands, and crippled togheter, as they was in alot of pain, and they tested them for radiation, the level was unnuasal high, and the buldings has been in such a heat, it turned it to class like stone, and the bones wasn't turned into glass or stone, but it hasn't decade, the strange ruin was most likely under a atomic bomb, and 3 other big civiliation was being destroyed around the same time, as in ancient scrolls, as gods fought eacother over the sky, with metal object and lightining? and in the word of the bible itself said: then god said: let us make a man in our image, let us make a man in our likeness? why the word US? If the government has made contact, and found out the truth about this, and almost every country on this planet, has high religion belief, if it all goes back to be aliens, we would destroyed eachother in blasfemi, if we have found out, and i already belive that the government, already has sold us out, they kill or treaten everyone that is to close to the truth, when they co-op with the aliens for technology.. Aliens has already destroyed human civilitation long ago, what did the humans do for such a treatment?

Extra-T Btw, im scared of aliens, i heard over 100 interwiews of adoptives, saying that some aliens is good and nice, when a spesific another alienship has a really dark Agenda.. sorry, im the only one brave enough to admitt it if i saw a alien, i would run as hell away, cuz, of the unknown agenda.. Number 1 rule is to never trust anyone, as im sure the aliens believe to, a universe, with thousands of planets? and they trust everyone? befor we could embrace anyone, we should atleast have the tech to defend ourselves befor atleast take a risk, Loving and embracing peace without knowing what they want, or if we trust the right race.. sorry if i sound like a hate guy, im not, I just like a Plan B.. or C.. and being sure of knowing something befor touches it!

avatar2012 Extra-T you present a unique point that altogether interests me but my question is: Let's say that what your saying is true and there are aliens already here. Then why did they stay? Humans provide no real thrill or serve any neccesitaties that an extraterrestial may need that they don't already have. While were on that subject I would also like to point out that if their intentions were to destroy our race, then wouldnt they have already done so. you also say that aliens have destroyed our civilazation a long time ago but I would have to disagree, I think that we have come very far in the last few centuries and while conditions today are not favorable (or at least in my opinion they arent) i have reason to believe that we have achieved alot more than we did back a few centuries or milleniums ago. As for the rare gene found only in humans my response is evolution. Im truely sorry for how late this reply took to be sent but i was busy for the last few months. As for Extra-T, you are entitled to your opinion and i would love to have you prove me wrong because i really do want to see what possibilites may arise from what you have stated if found correct. 63712 i agree with extra t the mayans and the indian people in western india have shown evidence of gods or super natural beings with strange super natural powers or physical powers like greys can supposedly shoot a strange beam from thier chest from waving thier hand around thier chest but if they are out there some where are they a peaceful kind or a violent race if there are aliens they must have been studying us for a very long time and if they do try anything strange like trying to attack humanity hopefully they can tell us why i once supposedly had an encounter with a grey he was about 7 or 8 feet tall and said you are not ready for us but we will come soon he tilted his head a little i tried to shake his hand but he just poofed right out of thin air i was very confused and walked away and i saw him again this time waving and then he just poofed again after that i started calling him or her most likely a male his voice was somewhat deep and he had some tension in his voice. i decided to call him robert his name was unknown but i called him robert the last time i saw him was november 2006. but it is possible still that they are some where on earth i actualy thought i saw robert one night i saw a strange humanoid character walking around in a field and the strange figure waved once more i dont fear him but i hope he wont reveal himself at a bad time the most recent time i saw him was 3 months ago he was walking in my yard and he picked up a flower not very sure why but he did. another thing i noticed was he had a strange thing around his ankle and he had some sort of suit on he stared and walked away ive never seen him since hope i do get to see him again though its very fun to be able to interact with, you know someone who is a whole nother species than you that speaks your language so yes the only other time i spoke with him was when he was in my yard i asked him why he wanted a flower he only stared and said its been nice to know you i told him my name he still never told me his im upset because i havent gotten to speak with him but i know hes out there somewhere doing something. also as i ive told you the ufo that i saw could have been his shim it looked some what like a small fighter class ship but it turned white and go very bright and i couldnt see and it dissapeared

AkuaEmerald I honestly wouldn't worry, I know that "aliens" is what you call them, are not violent, but yes the human race is very violent but not all of it, that's important to keep in mind... And not all aliens have big heads and eyes... OR GREEN FRICKING SKIN!!!!!! I FIND THAT VERY OFFENSE!!!!!!! people..... they just don't know..
