chapter 3: It was going to happen i just knew it, if i stayed any longer instinct would sink in and Alex would be dead in seconds. Alex picked his detective book off the ground and lifted his face so that his eyes locked with mine. i had to look away because he would see the red return to my eyes, my best option was to run away but after spending so much time with him i dreaded leaving while my vampire side was waiting for me to give in and kill him.
"are you OK Christa? your looking a little pale" Alex asked. i couldn't help but smirk at the 'pale' remark seeing that i was a vampire.
"Ya um well i have to go so ill call you later i guess" i said in a rush, and before anything else could be said i ran almost to fast out of the park and down the street a block or two. I was starting to feel the hunger tugging at me and i knew if i didn't feed now i would end up making a scene or worse going on rampage. It was still pretty early for anyone to be out on a Saturday. Most vampires only hunt at night because of the sun and all, i made it possible for me to walk in the sun so i could hunt in the day. After all there's more variety during the day, that and that i worship the sun and its warmth (which is kind of weird for someone meant to stay in the dark). i walked the streets not sure where i was going but instead soaking in my surroundings until the hunger past. up ahead i could see what looked like a run down wear house of some kind, a perfect place for a vampire club house i thought. All of the sudden i heard a crash and saw movement in one of the dusty windows, it wasn't anything living or else i would have smelt the blood but instead i smelt another unsettling scent. i could smell Calvin Kline cologne, but not just any cologne it was the kind he wears.
chapter 4:why was he here, was he looking for me or did he just happen to be in the same place at the same time as me. I picked up large stone off the gravel path and threw it at the front of the wear house as hard as i could, it blasted through the wall letting light stream in. i heard him hiss than curse the nickname he gave me when we were 'together' though it had been a while since i heard him say it last, so he new it was me. I ran towards the door and kicked it open letting in more light and i heard another hiss. He stood at the far end of the room facing me his slicked back black hair and his blazing red eyes. i moved towards him until my face was inches from his, he was taller than me and far more muscular but it was day light which gave me the advantage.
"what the hell are you doing here Patrick, did Antonio send you after me?" i said making sure not to let my guard down.
"no he didn't, you know Antonio he wants his killer little girl back so badly but no i came for my own reasons"
"really and what reasons are those might i ask"
"well one i want you back, but something tells me after meeting mister hot stuff in the park today that's not happening. speaking of which i'm surprised you left me for a human but i saw that instinct almost got the better of you. you know you should have killed him if you don't i will. free country after all" Patrick replied with a cocky grin.
"I left you because you can be a real asshole and control freak like right now, and you stay the hell away from Alex because if you touch him i swear i will drag you into the sun and watch you burn to nothing" I snapped at him.
"alright fangs you made your point and seeing that i prefer to live so i will back off romeo as long as you promise yo be mine and come back to Chicago with me and back to the coven". grabbed my face in his hands and crushed my lips to his, i was in no mood for his little games and i quickly reached up and snapped his neck leaving him unconscious. pulling a pad of paper i wrote him a note saying
Dear Patrick,
if you ever pull something like this again and if you continue to follow me next time ill make sure its fatal.

and with that i left, running in the opposite direction of the wear house. I had been walking for 20 minutes when my black berry vibrated. the text message read.
i will leave u alone but as of nw romeo is a free meal..luv u -Heartless.
