Sylvia took him to the hospital after his tantrum. He had a fever from it, and he became a little sick from his anger. She was a very good mother and taught her children well, but why would her angel of a son act so violently and moody? The doctor said it wasn't Sylvia's fault. Luke's real mother drank alcohol while carrying him which that means, Luke has fetal alcohol syndrome. It causes violent mood swings, temper tantrums, and compulsive behavior. Sylvia was worried about him because this can effect his behavior with everyone else around him, and his self esteem. A few days later, Sylvia founded out that she was pregnant. Karrie was excited that a new baby is going to walk around the house and get into everything, but Luke was very excited. He wanted the new baby to look up to him, like he did to Karrie. He wanted a baby to look after, and play with. The whole family was excited, until five months later, the mood around the house really changed. Sylvia thought hard about Luke and the baby. She afraid that he could hurt the baby. Not on purpose, but still Sylvia and Kurt talked about it, and they're going to take Luke to a foster home. Karrie knew about it, and she hated the idea. Her and Luke were playing on the stairs, and Karrie was worried about him. Luke: What's wrong Karrie? You look sad. Karrie: I am. Luke: Did you get in trouble? Karrie: No. Luke: Is it about school? Karrie: No. I can't tell you. Luke: Okay. Luke was curious why Karrie didn't tell him what was going on. She just wanted to spend as much time with him, before he left. Two months later, Luke was placed in a foster home. Years and years passed by, and he went back and forth to foster homes, juvenile hall, and institutions. He had a hard time making friends, going to different schools, and dealing with going to one family to another. One day when he was thirteen, a family adopted him. The couple's names are Stephen and Jackie Burkheart, and they have two kids Lauren (15yrs old) and Kevin (8yrs old). Stephen is a tattoo artist, and spends a lot of time with Kevin, playing video games with him. Jackie is a model and a cosmetics artist, who spends a lot of time with her spoiled daughter Lauren. Lauren is a spoiled hair obsessive princess, who is a wicked nail artist, who thinks the world revolves around her. Kevin is a shy little genius, who skipped two grades, and he's also deaf from a car accident, but he's a really nice kid. He doesn't hurt anyone or anything, but he does pull pranks on Lauren. Even tthough Lauren is spoiled and bratty, she'll do anything for Kevin, and stands up for him. When Luke arrived at his new home, he couldn't believe how beautiful it was. Since it was winter, the house was like a big, beautiful modern cabin, and it looked like a place that a couple would rent out for their honeymoon or something. Kevin watched through the upstair window, and saw Luke get out of the car. He was excited to have a big brother. He ran down stairs, and as soon as Luke and his new parents opened the door, Kevin hugged him. Jackie: *using sign language and talking at the same time* Kevin, this is Luke, and he's your new big brother. Kevin: (in sign language) Wow! Hi Luke! Nice to meet you! Jackie: He said nice to meet you too! Luke: Cool! How do I say, ''I'm glad to be your big brother.''? Stephen: Like this. *shows Luke the phrase in sign language* Luke: Oh okay. (in sign language) I'm glad to be your big brother. Jackie: Kevin, can also read lips, so you can speak and use sign language at the same time. Luke: I heard he was a genius. Jackie: He is, trust me! Okay, let's go inside, it's freezing out here! The snow's getting worse! As they walked inside, Luke was amazed! The house was so big and beautiful. As he was looking around the living room, Lauren came down stairs. Lauren: *using sign language and speaking at the same time* There you are Kevin! I was looking all over for you. You scared me! Stephen: Lauren, he's here. Lauren: Who is? Stephen: Your new little brother. Luke: Hi! You must be Lauren. Lauren: Yeah, so? Luke: So, I'm here, and I'm going to live here. Lauren: Okay, here are the rules: 1) Stay out of my room 2) Hurt me or Kevin, I will kill you. 3) Stay out of my hair products. Got it? Luke: .........Maybe. I won't hurt Kevin because I don't hurt people. Lauren: Whatever. Jackie: Lauren, we just brought him home, go easy on him. Luke, don't mind her. Lauren's a little possesive about her things, and she's a little spoiled, so don't feel insecure. It's not you, okay? Stephen and I don't want our children feeling insecure or bad about themselves, and since you are now one of our children, we don't want you feeling close minded. Be open with us, like if something's bothering you, if someone is pressuring you to do what you don't wanna do, or if you like someone, tell us. We'll help you. Luke: I have one question: Will you guys help me with sign language? Jackie: Yeah! Don't worry, we'll help you out and everything. Luke: Thanks! Stephen: I'll show you where your room is, so you can unpack and settle for a minute, because dinner's almost ready. Luke: Okay. I'm starvin' anyways. Stephen: So, were you originally from New York? Luke: Yeah! I've been everywhere in New York, except I didn't know there was a few forested areas here. Stephen: Yeah. Jackie and I wanted a calm place to live in, so we wouldn't deal with the noise and racket that comes from the streets and stuff. Also, it's safer here. Anyway, do you like your new room? Luke: Yeah. It's freakin' cool! Thanks. Stephen: You can also decorate and paint it, when the weather warms up. What type of room do you like? Luke: A room with a lot of Harry Houdini posters, and enough room to practice more illusions. Stephen: Oh, so you like magic? Luke: Yeah. When I was newborn, Sylvia and Kurt Walker adopted me. I lived in their house, until I was six. They have a daughter named Karrie, and she was like my second mom. She gave me a magic set for my birthday. Stephen: Do you miss her? Luke: All the time. I followed her everywhere, and we used to pretend to be story characters from old books. I miss her so much, but I know I'm gonna like it here though. Luke unpacked and looked around the house for a while.

Kevin was outside, playing in the snow, and a snowball hit him. It was his friend, Mandy. Mandy is thirteen, and lives next door to Kevin and his family. She played with him all the time. Mandy: * using sign language and speaking at the same time* Hi Kevin! Kevin: (in sign language) Hi Mandy! Do you want to come over and have dinner at my house? I also have a new big brother! Mandy: Really? Cool! I'll come over and meet him. First, I have to ask my mom. Kevin: (in sign language) Okay! I'll wait here! Kevin waited for a few minutes, and Mandy came out with a smile on her face. They both went back to Kevin's house and asked Jackie if she can stay. Luke walked into the living room, and saw Mandy. He just stared at her. He thought she was pretty. Jackie: Luke, dinner's almost ready. Mandy: *using sign language and speaking at the same time* Is this your new big brother? Kevin: Yes. This is Luke, and he just came here today. Mandy: Hi. Luke: H-Hi. Dinner was reayd and everyone enjoyed themselves, except for Lauren. Lauren: Do we have to eat with the ''it''. Mandy: Oh, I'm sorry princess. Are you distrought because you gained three pounds, and is having a bad hair day? Lauren: At least when I was thirteen, I didn't dress up like boy. Stephen: Cool it Lauren! And we've told you a million times not to bring your lipsmackers lip gloss to the table. So Mandy, how's your band doing? Mandy: Okay, I guess. It's hard to get a gig around here. Jackie: How about we just try to talk to Luke more tonight, since he's new here. Nothing against you Mandy. It's just that Luke's new to the family. Mandy: I understand. I wouldn't mind talking about him. Luke: There's this new movie coming out soon. It's called "BeetleJuice'', and I really wanna see it. Mandy: Yeah! I love Tim Burton films! Have you ever seen that short film that he did called ''Vincent''? Luke: Yes! That was awesome! That film got me into Edgar Allan Poe and Vincent Price by the way. Mandy: Have you ever heard the song ''Thriller'' by Michael Jackson? Vincent Price has a voice cameo in it. Luke: Vincent Price also did the introduction for Alice Cooper's ''Black Widow'' song. Mandy: I listen to Alice Cooper all the time. He inspires me to write. So does Pink Floyd. Luke: I don't think I've ever listened to Pink Floyd before. Mandy: I'll introduce you to them. Luke: I'm really big into Led Zeppilen. Mandy: Yeah they're so cool. Aerosmith is awesome too! I can't believe they did a song with Run DMC. Jackie: *whispers to Stephen* I think they like each other. Look at them talk about all the stuff they have in common. It's so cute!

Later that night, Luke was in his bedroom, and Kevin came in. Kevin: Hey Luke, want to prank Lauren? Luke: *using sign language and speaking at the same time* Yeah, sure! What are we going to do? Kevin: We're going to put a bucket of this weird goo I have on top of the door , and when she opens the door, BAM! She gets drenched in green slime! They both grabbed a bucket, and poured green slime inside of it. They tied a rope around the bucket, put it on top of the door, and waited for Lauren to open the door. They waited for half an hour for her to come out. Five minutes later, Lauren opened the door, and green slime covered her body! Lauren: Ugh! Eww! Luke! Kevin! How could you?! Luke: *laughing hard* Hold on....I...can't...stop...laughing...you're ....completely....covered...in...slime! Lauren: Ugh! You're so mean. Mom, Luke and Kevin pranked me again!

Jackie and Stephen were talking in the living room, looking through Luke's adoption papers, and information. Jackie: It says here that Luke has fetal alcohol syndrome, and has been in many foster homes, institutions, and juvenile hall. Wait a minute, he's been in juvie? Stephen: How? The kid's sweet. What if he's pretending? Jackie: No Stephen. I know he's not. I have a feeling that he's not what people think he is. I think Luke's problem has just gotten in the way over the years. Stephen: Do you wanna talk to him about this? Jackie: What if he feels bad about talki- Lauren: *interupts Jackie* Mom! Look what Luke and Kevin did to me! Jackie: Kevin! Luke! Get down here! Luke: What? What is it? Jackie: *using sign language and speaking* Kevin, did you talk Luke into pranking Lauren? Kevin: *in sign language* Yes Mom. I'm sorry. I didn't want to make her mad, I just wanted to get back at her for being mean to Mandy today, and calling her an ''it''. Jackie: It's still not very polite of pouring slime all over your sister. Luke: I'm sorry too. I just want to spend time with Kevin, and I wanted in on the prank too. Lauren went too far on the ''it'' stuff. I mean, c'mon. Mandy's a tomboy, and Lauren is a straight up girly mirror lover. It's not the end of the world. Jackie: But still no pranking. Lauren: Haha! Jackie: I'm not finished with you yet, young lady! The world doesn't revolve around you. You should know that by now! You have two brothers now. One of them is a genius that has trouble making friends and needs a little help, and another that needs to be welcomed into a new home. Luke's been through a lot over the years, and he needs a family to spend time with, and people to love. Now, go take a shower. You're grounded for your comments about Mandy, and that harsh welcoming towards Luke. Tomorrow, you are going to Mandy's house to settle this, and not be so rude all the time. Lauren: Fine. I'm sorry I'm such a spoiled brat. Lauren stomped to the bathroom. Luke and Kevin went to Luke's room, and Luke showed him some illusions he was working on. Luke liked his home so far.

I hope you enjoyed it! Ch3 will come soon!

The next week was spent somewhat like that first day. We went to the park almost everyday. It wasn't that bad actually. It was kind of funny to see Jezebel and and Aspen run around like psychos. I was actually starting to warm up to Scout as well. It was cool to just talk to someone my age that was a girl too. I never had the chance to do that at school or home. I really like Aspen too. She's very mature for her age, when she wants to be. She has no problem goofing around like a little kid. She likes to talk about a bunch of things. I've become very close with her too.

Then soon came the Sunday...

A faint beeping noise entered my room of darkness. I squeezed my eyes shut even more, afraid to open my eyes again and see nothing. There was the noise again. And again. It sounded in a steady pattern. The more I comfheard it, the more it reminded me of where I was. Before, when it was complete silence, it felt surreal, like it was all a bad dream. Now it was a constant reminder that there was nothing left for me. I cried, and a wet tear rolled down my cheek. A tear? But when I died, I'd felt nothing. I couldn't feel or taste the blood that had been running down my lips. I couldn't feel the...

I sat in my bed, watching the minutes tick by on my clock. 10:51 . . . 10:52. I rolled on my side, thinking about the next day, the first day of school. I was a strait A student and also a bit of a badass. Where did I fit in? My eyelids became heavy, harder to open every time I blinked, until they didn't open.
I felt a nudge, my mom waking me up. "Get dressed," she whispered in my ear. I dragged to my dresser, pulling out my pink Aeropostale shirt and a pair of skinny jeans.
My mom dropped me off and kissed my forehead, so embarrassing, but typical mom. "Hey Ana-rebel!" Called Brooke, pretty...

“Yes, I am,” I said calmly. I felt sick to my stomach even as I said it.
“Why?” asked Grey as if it were not obvious.
    “I love him,” I said.
“I thought you loved me,” she said, tears in her eyes. Although I saw tears, I also saw hate and fire.
“You were mistaken,” I said, it was cruel, but true. I loved Alexander more than her.
“Why don’t you love me?” she asked.
“You raped me, and I married you only because the baby,” I said....

As I enter the kitchen, I see my mom chopping carrots and putting them in a pot full of stew. "Hi Mom! What's that?" My long citrus orange skirt sways underneath the air conditioning vent. "I'm making vegetable stew. KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK. "I'll get it!" I call. I run towards the wooden door and I turn the bronze-colored knob. A man with shaggy dark brown hair appears behind the door. "Hello. Is your mother here?" Who is this guy? "Yes. She's in the kitchen." I make a left towards the small kitchen and my mom looks at me. "It's for you." I mouth the words silently. "Oh!" My mom, walks...

About three months have passed, and text messages and calls have stopped. It made me feel sad, but at least I knew they had moved on. At least they weren't devoting their lives to worrying about me.

Then one day before work, I had drove to the edge of town to the grocery store. I had paid for all my things, I was leaving when I noticed a bulletin board. It was the ones where missing people were posted. One in particular caught my attention. It was a picture of me from a party, I was all smiles and waving at the camera. Missing: Kodi Hunter. Last seen: **/**/** Hair color: brown. Eye color: brown....

Three hours after Darla left and everything's fine at the shop. A teen with dirty blond hair and hazel eyes enters the store. He looks like... "Steven?" Steven stops in his steps. "Bree?" "Yeah. What are you doing here?" I ask. "To buy something? Do you know where the candy is?" "Yeah it's in section two." I point towards the second section in the store. The shop smells like vanilla and chocolate. Probably because of the ice cream that have been melting in the corner of the store. Which reminds me... "Steven, would you like to work here?" I ask to break the silence. "Sure. I need a job." Steven...

Ugh. Being an eighth grade student in a huge middle school is a horrible thing. Large crowds, long lines, piles of homework and nasty teachers! But lucky for me, I'm more motley than anyone else. As I walk down the long beige hallway to my second period class, I see my BFFFL (Best Female Friend For Life), McKenna Winston. "Bree! Bree! I need you A.S.A.P!" My spunky blond pigtailed friend grabs my hand and runs towards the girls' restroom. "What the heck do you need McKenna? I need to get to class before-" I see writing on the bathroom wall. McKenna reads it aloud. "Bree Komor and McKenna Winston...

After dinner, everyone scattered out in the Temple, and Elizabeth was going to go to her room. She walked out of the dining room and into the corridor. She didn’t know where to go so she decided to go left; she wandered around when she finally took a right. She opened up a door. Elizabeth peered inside; she saw Wyatt, Lucifer, and Xavier sitting around a giant, red pentagram in the center of the room. They did not hear the door open.
She watched them thoughtfully. Wyatt was the leader of the Temple. Therefore, he was doing most of the talking....

What do you think of this poem? Is it too wierd or depressing?

Caged

It’s my life yet I’m not permitted to live it
Because I’m sick of the tiny little locked cage
Did nobody tell you the most important thing?
Little girl’s gonna grow up someday, honey

The day has come when the box is too small
You repressed, demoralized child’s matured
She’s become – shock horror – a teenager
Just an isolent bitch and nothing more

You say she shouldn’t eat so much
But you force her to stuff her face
You say her skin’s bad, why?
You the one who never taught her to wash it

It’s as if you’ve completely...

She fell to the floor and wept, and the jar shook
The day ended on a cold note for the cold night
He had her heart sealed in a jar, fragile and trapped
Until he had his moment and let go
With little strength, she had saved it and ran
She had ran until the darkness was unbearable,
As she wept, the jar shivered in her arms

Her dark blue eyes were drenched
And her mind was a dark, narrow corridor.
Her heat prolonged in entrapment,
Torturing her unknowingly with each eternity-like moment.

Finally, she ceased her overwhelming emotions,
Now silent and pondering
Distracted, the jar fell, and shattered at her feet
He’s gone. He’s gone! The words danced in her mind.
Her heart was free, and she was free

She got to her feet, no longer stumbling
And the shattered jar crunched under her feet
There was no more pain.

Ok, so I just want to write a little summary to my story that I want to write called A Place of Our Own I'm basically writing this to see if people will like it, and if they do, I'll write more. :)

So anyways, it's about a Hollie, 17 year old girl who has an alcoholic mother and a step father who abuses her as well as her 12 year old sister, Amy. Hollie's been in a 3 year on/off relationship with a heroin addicted boyfriend, Danny. When a close call puts Danny in the hospital, he promises Hollie that he'll quit and they'll find a better life. This causes Hollie to realize that she needs to leave home and find help herself.

So yeah, if you liked this, please comment and there WILL be more. Thanks. :)

It´s autumn. It´s just a day like everyone else. I´m sitting on a bench. The air around me is cold and the sky´s color is orange now, because there will be sunset soon. There is a fountain in front of me. It has a red- brown color and there are statues on it. I can hear the sound of the ice cold water. There are more benches around the fountain, but today there aren´t so much people sitting there as usual. I´m visiting this place pretty often. I´m sitting still on the bench and thinking. Sometimes I observe the people in the street. I can see their long shadows on the ground. It´s the...

This is based on a true story, which has been featured on a few ghost shows. However, I tweaked this "ghost story" a little, and I hope you enjoy!

Sariff was a kind and beautiful woman who spent most of her life around the calm, cool waters of an unnamed lake.

It was there she swam.
It was there she read.
It was there she surfed.
It was there, on July Fourth, 1990, Sariff was murdered.

No one knew who it was, besides the fact that he was a man. And maybe, that had something to do with the fact that only men drowned at Sariff Lake.

Twenty men a year died, despite a large amount of lifeguards....

I knew, from the agony of hitting the ground, of several ribs cracking, that this was real, more real than any experience I had ever had in my entire life, but I also knew, that once I had passed through this pain barrier, once I came back to consciousness, that the whole rest of my life, would seem more real than the previous one. Already it seemed like I had been seeing it through blurry eyes.

I'm thinking of you in my sleepless solitude tonight...

Becoming tangled in sheets of satin, I rolled to my side and slowly opened an eye, spotting the black outline of a figure lingering in the doorway. Confused, I propped myself up on an elbow and squinted, trying to make out the figure in the darkness. "Matthew?" I called out softly, pulling the sheets up to cover exposed flesh. The figure moved closer without a word, shutting the bedroom door. For a moment I questioned whether or not the illusions had returned. While I wasn't seeing Lex, I was thinking of him. The Last Goodbye

I am standing on my tiptoes with my arms around him and he is bending down so that I can reach. There are tears of joy, and cheering. It is too loud to hear even my own thoughts but somehow I still manage to hear the sound of my heart in my ears as I cling to my friend. After a long moment, we both pull back slightly and my hands slide over the strange fabric of his bright blue graduation gown. I look up at him knowing this could be the last times I see my most treasured friends. His hand leaves my shoulder, and he places it lightly on my face. My heart nearly stops as something...
