Alex's hunter had a name. Only one person knew his name and that was his ex wife. He was utterly baffled that Alex wouldn't crack where his family was. This was going to be hard.
Just then the door opened revealing his ex wife Melinda and his daughter Melanie. Alex's hunter felt his anger rise up into his head
"Crap Melinda why can't you bring her next year?" he roared raising his fists
Melinda became furious. He knew she would be coming! "Jerry calm yourself. It's your winter to take care of Melanie. You don't want to talk to my lawyer again do you?" She asked eying him like she trapped him
Alex's hunter hated that name. Jerry. It sounded weak. He prefered to be called Alex's hunter or just the hunter. He sighed. He knew he lost the argument " Fine just leave her here. you just dropped off our daughter here on the worst day. I finally captured Alex dear," he said clearly happy
Melinda never understood about her husband's job but she never cared at all for it. At least he got paid a lot for it. "That's nice dear good bye. Bye Melanie call me if you need anything," she said walking out the door.
The hunter looked at his daughter. She had her i-pod ear phones in her ears. When did she get that? he thought. She didn't look like that when he saw her last two years ago when she was eleven. Her long dark curly hair wasn't like that and she was tanner. His daughter grew up.
"I'm sorry Pumpkin daddy's just,,," his daughter cut him off
"Don't call me pumpkin!" she snapped. She left the room in a huff.
The hunter felt his anger rise up again " Come back here right now young lady!" he snapped pointing a the ground
His daughter came back in the room with her hands folded across the chest "What?" she snapped
"Don't snap at me young lady! Just how old are you now? You weren't like this two years ago!" he yelled
"Dad I'm thirteen now! Of coarse I wasn't like this two years ago. I'm older now! Can I go now?" she begged
"No you can," the hunter stopped talking. His thoughts were raging again Wait a minute if she's thirteen maybe Alex is! What's every teenage boy's weakness? Teenage girls of coarse! It has to crack him. I've tried everything!
The hunter turned his attention again back to his daughter. He smiled " Honey can you do a favor for daddy?" he asked getting closer to her.
She backed up a bit " What kind of favor?" she asked
"You see I'm a hunter. You know that right?"
"Yeah you're job is to hunt people who weren't meant to be born right?"
"Right and yesterday I captured a boy I have been seachin for years," he said pacing
"So what's the problem dad?"
"I can't get him to talk," he said looking disappointed
"Aww dad have you used torture?" she asked
"Yes I have but he still won't tell me where his family is but I do have an idea with the need of your help,"
"What is it dad?" she asked even though she kind of knew the answer.
"You need to talk to him. He'll like you and tell you where his family is,"
"Alright dad but I want fifty bucks a day for this," she said holding out her hand.
He sighed " Fine here you go," he said handing her fifty bucks "Also give him this" he handed her a tray of food I didn't feed him yesterday. When he is done take him to the bathroom to wash up. He stinks like a dead dog,"
Melanie took the tray of food and walked out of the room and down the hallway to where Alex was. She opened the door a saw him.
Alex looked up. He was very pale and sleepy. His blue eyes were blood shot red. His curly blond hair was not blond anymore. It was gold. His red shirt was covered in black blotched from his dried blood. His blue jeans were covered in spots of blood and tears.
Melanie looked at his forehead. It had several cuts deep inside it. It was bleeding a bit.
She gasped she couldn't help it. It was just so horrible to look at.
Alex's eyes widened when he saw her rush over to him. His eyes formed tears again. When he spoke Melanie felt the pain in his voice.
"Oh god my hunter sent in a girl to finish the job. Please kill me now so I don't feel any more pain," he wailed a bit.
Melanie couldn't help but feel sorry for Alex. He looked so sweet and innocent. He sat there so helpless and lost. She walked over to him and put down the tray near his legs. She started to untie his hands. The rope had dug into his skin in just a few hours.
"What are you doing? Aren't you going to get in trouble?"he asked
She got his hands free. She picked up a sandwich and put it in his hands " Don't worry about it Alex. Eat. After you finish I'll take you to the bathroom to wash up,"
Alex did what he was told and dug in his sandwich like there was no tomorrow. "Why are you being nice to me? Who are you?" he asked mouth full of sandwich
"I'm your hunter's daughter," she said holding onto his hand
He freed his hand " You are? Oh god don't whip me. I can't get whipped again," he said covering his eyes with his hands.
She took his hands from his eyes. His wrists were bloody and dug into from the rope " God what did my father do to you?" she asked
Alex looked up and took another bite of sandwich and scoffed " What didn't he do to me? That would be the real question," he said smirking
"Did he bound you to a table and made a goat lick your feet?" Melanie asked
Alex glared "What?"
"Never mind!" she said quickly I take that as a no.
"So that horrible man is your dad?" he asked making small talk
"Yeah he was really pissed when I came," she said rolling her eyes
"Is it because of me?" he asked taking another bite of his sandwich
"Part of it. My mom and are divorced and it's my dad's winter to take care of me and didn't want me here because he just captured you," she said
"Oh okay. Does divorced means being separated?" Alex asked
"Yeah and he has to pay Alimony every month for us. Are you done with your food?" she asked
Alex looked down at his empty tray and took a big swig of water he had "Oh yeah. Can I go to the bathroom now?" he asked
"Yeah," she untied his legs and led him out of the room. He stumbled a bit from not walking for a quite a while. She pushed him into the bathroom across the hallway.
Her father came up to her " So how long do you think that he will talk?" he whispered
Melanie looked at her father. His black hair was so spiky from last time she saw him. His green eyes were blood shot too.
"Dad are you in a hurry?" she asked
He shook his head " If I was in a hurry I would of killed him by now and tried to fine that damn family already," he said
"It' going to take a month for me to get through to him," she said
Her father only nodded

Last summer I went to Los Angeles to stay with my cousin for a few weeks. One afternoon we were having lunch in a nice restaurant in the centre of the town when my cousin got a call on her mobile phone and went outside to talk. While she was speaking to her friend,I suddenly noticed a man in a black hat who was sitting at the next table. It was the actor Johnny Depp!He was alone, and I decided to take my chance. So I got up and went to his table:'Excuse me,could I have my photo taken with you?'I asked. He said yes,so I stopped a waitress who was passing by and gave her my camera. She took the photo of me and Johnny,I thanked them both, and then I returned to my table. When my cousin came back,I smiled.'Why are you looking so pleased with yourself?'she asked.
'I had my photo taken with Johnny Depp.'
'Johnny Depp?Where is he?'
'He's sitting over there.Look!'
She turned around to look and then started to laugh.
'That's not Johnny Depp!'I looked at the man in the black hat-he was laughing too.

You held up your pumpkin spice finger,
With a playful wink,
Your sweetness saved me several times,
When I was on the brink,
The warmth within your spritely smile,
Allowed me to be real,
Your cinnamon and sugar hugs
They taught me how to feel.
I'd run down to the coffee shop,
So I could see your face.
You've seen me at my happiest,
You've seen me in disgrace.
And though you're always beaming,
Still I feel the need to say,
It's okay if you have some days,
Where your spice fades away.
