My name is Starr Makenzie and I'm from the future. Don't laugh at me! It's true. I was born on May 8th 2099. I am currently 16 years old but I am in 2009 right now. I read in my book that 2009 was an interesting year for politics and for the economy. I wanted to come here for a couple of reasons but I can't tell you why.
"Starr Makenzie!" My math teacher Mr. Howards yells at me "Pay attention!"
I look up from doodling and see everybody staring at me. They are all just jealous that I'm the only one getting an A+. I'm actually a really smart person but I don't pay attention in class anymore because I've already learned this stuff.
In the future you are done with school at the age of sixteen. Crazy huh? You start learning things when you are old enough to talk, walk and go to the bathroom.
"Sorry Sir it won't happen again," I say with my best apology face
"One more mistake and you will be sent outside young lady," he says glaring at me. He looks at his lap top. "Now kids when you finish this problem make sure it's positive. There is no such thing as negative time. As in you can't go back in time,"
"Yes you can!" some random boy yells out "What about back to the future?" he asks
Ahh back to the future. Wonderful 1980s movie. Little did they know that the guy who made the movies great grandson made time travel possible in 2045.
Mr. Howards glares at the boy "That just a movie geoff there isn't such thing as time travel,"
"Mr. Howards is right!" some girl shouts "There is not such thing. I mean if we can go back in time wouldn't we know it by now?" she asks
Mr. Howards looks curiously at the girl "What do you mean by that Chelsea?" he asks
Chelsea stares at him like she is surprised that he is letting her talk "I mean that if we can go back in time wouldn't we see people popping in at random times or now?"
I feel my blood boil and my face reden. How would they know? These people don't know anything. This is bull because every student in here is getting a C- and lower except for me!
"Yeah and wouldn't they have different clothes on? And And look different?" Geoff shouts out standing up
I feel my pulse race out of control. Come down Starr don't let your temper get in the way.
"And And they would have some weird looking body parts caused by Pollution,"
THATS IT! I jump onto the top of my chair "Shut up. Shut up and SHUT UP. YOU PEOPLE DON"T SQWAT!" I yell looking at all my classmates "You guys are all wrong. People who might of came back to the past probably disguised themselves to look normal and try to fit in. Also they probably don't just pop in at random times. Pop time travel probably hasn't been invented yet. People use Deloreans to time travel!" I shout on top of my lungs.
Everybody stares at me. Crap I think I blew it. Mr. Howards glares at me intently "Starr Makenzie get out of my room wait outside," he commands me.
I pack up all my stuff and rush out of the room at top speed. As I leave I hear people murmuring things.
"Weirdo,"
"Freak,"
"What the hell is a Delorean?"
