Serena

I'd slept for most of the flight.

Rion was there to meet me, like he promised.

He'd hugged me, told me it would be fine, that I'd be fine.

**************************************************

I took on the job of his personal assisstant, and I made a point to remember everything, from the way he liked his coffee to the way his desk needed re-organizing every few days.

I was a VERY dedicated assisstant.

He helped me with everything; he stood behind me silently as I endured my first morning sickness, and when I went into labour, which was five hours ago he dropped everything to be there for me.

I am now struggling with the most painful thing I have ever endured.

I'd gone into labour two weeks premature. I'd been rendered unable to move, gripping the marble countertop of Rion's spotless modern kitchen. I'd sunk to the ground, biting back screams. No one would hear me, and the phone was too far to reach. I'd endured this agony for five hours, so by the time Rion came home, I was too far into it for anyone to be able to help me with any form of painkiller.

It was going "all natural, and it can't be helped", so the doctors had said. Sounds way more attractive than it really is.

I only screamed once.

Endless Pain: Chapter Two

Selena and her mother had sat on the bed while Selena told the whole story.

“And just last night I dreamed that he had… that he had…”

“He had been what?” her mom asked with utter most curiosity; for she knew her daughter, and anything could happen.

“He had been killed!” Selena shouted. “And it felt so real! As if I saw it with my own eyes!” The tears slowly came again, but they passed....

Chapter Two:

Jean:

Jean got on the bus a few hours later, dressed in her brown Tim Hortons uniform, earphones in her ears as she fiddled with her iPod. Benny spotted her as soon as she got on. Without a second thought, he stood up and sat in the empty seat next to her.

Jean was young, sixteen, maybe seventeen, and tall. Her dark hair was pulled up neatly behind her head. She wore very little make up and looked exhausted, as if she’d just woken up and remembered she had to go work.

Jean looked over at Benny and gave him a half-hearted smile, before turning back to her music.

“Hello,” said Benny,...

The Man With No Eyes Collection (4): Lately

I thought I lost you before you even left me.

That’s the message that your cloudy gaze sent me,

And now it’s become a glistening bubble of a memory.

Is it possible you regret me?

Is it possible that I’m empty?

Why else would I awake to find no one here except me?

Won’t anyone accept me?

My true face, not the stunning mask of the beautiful, bereft me?

Haunted riches; is it worth being wealthy?

The creeping outside my doors; they’re gonna get me.

And once they finish chopping me up, they’re gonna set me,

Ablaze, and then they’ll just forget me.

A more grim tone and disorganized format were intentional for this one. Funny enough, the title was the hardest part here. Trying to sum up this poem in just a word was difficult, but I think I found a good fit.

Chapter 1

As I slowly walk toward the road I can't help but to think "What have I gotten myself into?" I know I shouldn't have done what I did. Is this where I was suppose to end up? Is this destiny. If it is... I don't believe. I just wish I could take it all back. I'm sorry. I'm sorry is all I could say. I shouldve never listened to her. My mother. Don't let this be the end. I won't give up. Please. Then I hear a soft scream but as I approach closer It grows louder. I start to shake inside but I manage to keep walking. I'm sorry. I shouldve let him go. It was stupid. I shouldve let that night...

An otter strode silently down the dim hall.
His pelt was black as night and his eyes were as blue as the sky on a cloudless day.
He wore a black tunic, which came down a little past his knees.
From the way he walked to the sly glint in his eyes, it was clear that he was crafty, daring and fierce.
He was young, yes, but he was the most advanced in his classes.
He had won duels with experienced warriors, beat the best archers and had even stolen food from behind the cook’s back.
The Wave Warriors would be lucky to have him in their army, if he stood up to their expectations.
Would he?
He would...

Even though I was only a little kid-6 to be exact-I remembered that day well. Who wouldn't?! For a kid being seperated from your parents to go to kindergarten was torture but being kiddnaped! I cried myself to sleep every night! I better get a move on and start from the beginning before I tell you the ending already! My name is Ani Mayloan and this is my story.

Worthless. Useless. Despicable. Wretched.

These are the words my mother used to describe me. Each word was like a dagger through me. But I was thankful. She might've come up with that soon enough.

"There's nothing like a mother's love," they say. I wouldn't know. If it included fear, pain, hate, and resentment, then yes. There's nothing like it. Not in the the entire world. But I think they meant it was wonderful. Not terrible.

But it was over now. She was gone forever.

I was allowed to her funeral,...

I have always been amazed by animated movies and comicbooks just because they both a great way to tell stories and the art usually looks amazing.

What i want to do is to create something that speaks to kids or teens just like the Disney movies and comicbooks did to me as a kid and thats why i´m trying to write a book and i´m going to try and get that published.

I really admire people who succed with writing a book, drawing comics or anything like that and i really hope that i can be one of them some day.

Normally, this style just isn't me, but I feel like I needed to release all of my wrath, turning it into sadness, eventually.

So, I'm not an emo poem writer, but I just wanted to publish this piece I literally just wrote.

I am broken
There's no one left to fix me.
All hope is lost
There's so much I will never be.

I am broken
My world has been shattered.
All hope is lost
I am nothing, destroyed and battered.

I am broken
The world around me falls apart.
All hope is lost
There is no chance for a new start.

I am broken
I have been left here on my own.
All hope is lost
There's no one else; I am here alone.

I am broken
The pain is too much for me to bare.
All hope is lost
In the end, the others just don't care.

I was broken
No tears remain in my fearful eyes.
All hope is gone
My world ended with nothing but lies.

basically, its what I used to be.

A sad and lonley sight
Sat at home, her chest feels tight
Her sadness wraps her in a ball
No friends, no confort, none at all
She's different but there's no help for that
They call her names that bring tears to her eyes
A freak, a loner, and now she cries
She wants to end it
All the pain
Just a friend, thats all she would wish to gain
Now the rain falls on her window pane
She stares outside, to keep her sane
Her feeling drive her mad sometimes
She thinks of this and now she sighs
No hope, no love, what shall she do?
She feels so lonely, but what about you?

My advice, is to...

I watched two little girls playing, watching one in particular. She reminded me painfully of Serena. The little girl pulled her friend to her feet and ran towards a woman that I recognized.

It was her. At first I was sure I was halluncinating.

Her dark hair was a little longer than I had seen it last. She was wearing a black pencil skirt and a deep blue blouse. She looked happy as the girl ran up to her.

She hugged the little girl. Their hair was the same colour.

I watched numbly as Serena looked at the child with unfathomable love as she told her something.

Serena looked up at me, pain and shock evident on her face.

You couldn't and wouldn't,
ask for anything more.
Now all you want,
is to be able to rest.
For your famliy to be happy.
You wish you could help them,
through the pain,
but you can't,
you can only watch,
from the sky.
You can only watch them cry.
Hearts are now broken.
But your love,
is forever out spoken.
For twith out you,
there'd be no hope,
for those to come.
You put the doctors one step closer,
to finding the cure.
You may be just another person to them,
but to me your so much more.
Your one in a million,
your unequie.
I have just one more thing to say.
Plaese rest now.
Rest now and sleep.
May heven bring you happiness and peace.

To me, Will is more than a name. This is what it means to me:

W is for the softest whisper in the sweetest breeze of spring.

I is for the icy chill that goes down my spine when you spare me a small glance my way.

L is for the look my penetrating eyes give you when you turn away from me; when I want most for you to stay close to me.

And L is for the unconditional and irrevocable and irrational love I feel for your soul.

Without you, my heart is silent. You arethe only one who has touched my heart and it will always be yours. You are my only love. I've left my heart with you; look over it closely....

July 6th, 2012, Yankee Stadium, a ball was pitched and struck, sent 102 miles per hour out of field and into the stands. With a speed like that, a typical baseball fan would’ve believed that top pro-catchers like Ivan Rodriguez would’ve caught that ball too easily. But no, it wasn’t Rodriguez or any professional catcher at all. It was a little girl.
8-year-old Momolola Hortwumu of Albany, New York, was cheering on the Yankees in the crowds with her father, Timothy, and older brother, Connilki, enjoying the game and pink cotton candy when-unexpectedly- a fast ball was coming her way. Instinctively,...

Why do we have something as stupid and pointless as war. Of all the things to create. A mother tells a child to stop fighting, yet calls a killer a hero. "Defend Our Country" yeah right. Defending means holding back someone who is trying to hurt you. It does not mean that if someone doesn't do what you tell them, you go into a country and kill their people. And if you have a quarrl with someone, why don't you settle it yourself instead of killing a bunch of innocent soliders who think they're doing what's right. Are we so primitive that we resolve to such matters? Have they ever thought of...
