Death, death is a beautiful thing, it allows new beings to be born, death is needed and shall always be around... However there was one who tried to defy death, he said that it was not needed, that people could go on with out it, this mans name was Deluch ruler of a mighty kingdom off to the east. One of three greater kingdoms, but our story does not start there, no our story starts in another realm where everything is peaceful and death is accepted.

Beings of this realm know that death is a good thing, death paves way to new life, so why try to stop it? Maybe some people wish to live forever? Or is it something else... Only the person who trys to defy death will know. This new realm where our story begins we'll call it Shale, within this wonderfully peaceful realm sits a town, not a large town, this town shall be called Lione. There are many strong beings here mostly humans but there are other beings known as Anthromorphs, they come in many different forms, some say they come from the wilds and some say they were simply here from the beginning .

Either way it's unknown where they come from even to themselves, in any case the town is like any other town in the realm they work and live their lifes, everything is quite peaceful humans and anthromorphs growing up and working together, one day there was new life being brought into this realm, it was a baby boy, smiling and giggling cheerfully, not once had they ever seen a baby come out giggling happily and smiling like this one, they called this boy Jonathan, the family he belonged to was a quiet family they did not speak much and always kept to themselves.

It was odd that they had such a happy baby boy seeing as they were quite depressed a majority of the time, everyone in the village was happy except for the parents. It wasn't surprising that they weren't happy but this depression wasn't natural, it made their eyes almost completely black and skin pale, their baby didn't take to it though, he was a happy baby, he kept smiling and giggling as if nothing was wrong. Life continued on as the boy's parents slowly got worse and worse at the age of four his parents wouldn't even come out of the house anymore, instead they would just lay around as if their souls had left their bodies.

Eventually around five years later his parents past away one morning while Jonathan was playing around town, Jonathan came back in from playing outside only to see a strange hooded figure standing over his parents bodies "Who are you mister?" Jonathan asked politely looking at his parents who lay lifeless on the floor, the hooded figure looked at Jonathan "You must be their child, come here little one." the hooded figure replied gesturing Jonathan to come here, Jonathan nodded and walked over to the hooded figure "Yes?" Jonathan stood at attention looking up at the tall being with out fear and with a smile on his face "Hmm, are you not afraid little one?" the being asked kneeling down on one knee.

Jonathan shook his head still smiling "No, not really mister." Jonathan replied looking over at his parents with a confused look on his face "You must be wondering what happened to them." the being stood up looking at the lifeless bodies that were Jonathans parents "Yes mister, what happened?" Jonathan replied looking back up at the being "Well you see young one their souls have left, they are no longer here." the being stated placing one hand on Jonathans shoulder "I don't get it, they look like they're sleeping mister." Jonathan replied still a bit confused "Once the soul leaves the body then the body returns to the earth, the soul blossoms into something beautiful then goes on to heaven where it can be free and live endlessly in eternal happiness, with out worry, with out fear, and with out pain, you see... what was your name little one?" the being asked "Oh, my name is Jonathan mister, what about you?" Jonathan replied with a smile slightly understanding what the being had told him.

The being laughed at Jonathans happy attitude "My name, it is something you wouldn't understand, but you can call me Joel, anyways..." the being pulled back his hood to show that he was more human then what he seemed to look like before "Jonathan, when the soul leaves the body it is a wonderful thing, it is beautiful and majestic, if only you could see it, however there are ones who would stop the soul from blossoming and take it for their own, torturing it, making it wither and die... it is my job to make sure that does not happen." Joel explained to Jonathan as Jonathan brought over some chairs so they could sit down "Thank you Jonathan, you're surprisingly kind to some one you don't know much about, I'm impressed." Joel smiled sitting down looking over at the fire pit that still had some burning embers in it "Well mother and father always taught me to be nice to others, even if they were rude and un-kind to me, they were really good people." Jonathan replied smiling "Would you like something to drink Joel?" Jonathan asked politely but all Joel could do was sit there in amazement at Jonathans kind spirit "...yes that would be lovely Jonathan." Joel replied laughing.

As the two sat there talking Joel describe the wonders of the afterlife and where souls came from, where they go as well and how beautiful it is to see the soul blossom and flourish after death, Joel went on to explain how death was needed and how it paved way to new life because with the death of one body the life of another begins, after a while the embers in the fire died out as Jonathan lit a candle "That's really interesting Joel!" Jonathan exclaimed rocking back in forth in his chair in excitement, Joel looked over at the fire pit nodding "Yes, yes it is Jonathan, it's getting late though I fear it's time for me to go back, there are more souls to protect and guide through to the afterlife." Joel replied smiling as he got up from his chair and headed towards the door, Jonathan nodded looking back over to where the bodies of his parents were, to his surprise they were gone, vanished into dust as if nothing happened "Wow..." Jonathan thought to himself as he got up beginning to clean, taking the dishes to the sink in the kitchen.
Mica and Amanda walked out of Maya's house, followed by Maya herself. The air was crisp, not a cloud in the sky, and the sun beat down on their heads. Day birds sang their songs. Male and female Cardinals caring for their young. Their bikes were stationed at the end of the culdasack. They all jumped on their Seastar bikes and rode down to the Castle where Hannah and Jett live. Amanda ran up to the door, followed by Mica and Maya. She knocked the door 3 times and Hannah and Jett's butler walked up to the door and answered it.

"Yes?" He asked looking firm and tall. "State your buisness Miss Amanda,...

Aria Glass sat on top of her house with an unopened beer in her hand and her eyes on the sky. It was a beautiful night and Toby and Jared where at it again. Jared had become more quick-tempered than usual, barking at almost everything. Neither boy’s where good at their temper control and over the years Aria had learned to let boys be boys and fight it out themselves. But Aria could take them both, Aria smirked at this thought, true or not they would never hurt her.
But she did hate it when they fought, although...

This might only work if you're familiar with the tale of Jason, the Ancient Greek hero, but who gives a crap? Haha, anyways, I was going to enter a writing competition because I figured that it would be a good way to, well, I don't know. BUt Greece was my inspiration coz that's where I'ma going and I was looking at this Greek website that my friend Hanniekins sent me the link to and I was reading about the heroes and stuff and I wrote, well, this.... So yeah... xD

Jason sprinted faster, pushing his muscles to the limit as he pumped his arms and legs. Behind him, the sounds of his pursuer...

"...So there's no way you're taking Cosette home if she doesn't want to!" Echo shouted across the kitchen. She's been ranting for about ten minutes straight. It even frightened me. Asteria seemed surprised, but calm. That scared me too. Was she so certain I was coming home no matter what? Echo paused for a couple moments, trying to regain her breath. She looked at me. "You... aren't leaving, are you?" I looked at Asteria, and sighed.

"No," I said firmly. Asteria's eyes saddened a little bit.

"Please?" she whispered. My heart ached at her sadness. I was stuck between her, and my life here. But...

The next day, I had no choice but to go to school. My friends looked at me with concerned looks, but I tried to ignore that. We all stood around in front of the school, waiting to be let in before the first bell.

"How you doing?" Chasity asked. I shrugged.

"Did you hear?" Axel said, his eyes wide with interest.

"Hear what," Liberty said.

"The kids they took in weren't the real shooters. They had their alibis. And no one ever really saw the shooters; they were disguised or something. So that means---"

"The real shooters are still here," Crow finished. Everyone shifted uncomfortably.

"Well why...

“Oni! Did you already pack some shampoo, conditioner and all of that crap? You know that hotel hygiene products suck!” shouted June through my bathroom door.

“June chill, Let me finish taking my waz.” I rolled my eyes. No use she couldn’t see it.

I walked out of the bathroom sat on the edge of my bed looked up at June and said “Don’t you ever go home? I bet that Andrew misses you dearly.” I smiled at her. Now it was her turn to roll her eyes.

June sat next to me. She put her head into her hands. I wasn't expecting that, I pat her back.

"June what's wrong?" I asked concerned while...

Prologue
The Life of Amelia Grace

Mia Grace’s alarm clock rang shrilly in her ear that morning. Groaning, she rolled over, pounded the snooze button down and buried her face in the covers. She was barely able to get another few extra minutes of sleep before somebody ripped the covers off of her and a cheerful voice rang out, “Come on, Mia, you’re never going to get into eleventh grade by sleeping all day!”
“That’d be an easy way to do it,” mumbled Mia, rubbing her eyes and stretching. When she opened her eyes a black haired man was looming over her, a stupid grin on his face.
“Geez,...

Oni
Oni
I was sitting. Doodling on a notepad with a purple pen and sitting on my favorite green beanbag chair.

“Oni, Oni!”(Oh-nee) Yelled my eldest sister June as she jogged into my room oh so gracefully. I sat upright, noticing that I was slouching again.

'Sit up straight or you’re gonna get a crooked spine and spend the rest of you’re life in a wheelchair.' I mocked my Mom’s frequent nags. She’s a Chiropractor, you know how they are.

“What is it my Lovely sister dear?” I asked June snidely while rolling my eyes.

You see, I haven’t been in the best mood these past few months. I...

I got to the motel around ten that night. I paid forty dollars for two nights. I figured I could find an apartment by then. At least I hoped I could.
I now sat on the side of a bank over looking a river. Lucy sat beside of me, getting all the latest drama from my life. She was almost like my therapist. I knew I was supposed to be hers, but it wasn‘t the best arrangement.
“Love sucks, Lucy,” I said while rubbing my eyes. I had just told her about what happened between Alexander and me.
“I used to think that, too....

I awoke around ten that morning. I looked beside of me Alexander sat looking at me. A hint of a smile was on his face.
“Good morning,” he said, handing me a cup of coffee.
“Thanks,” I said taking a sip. It was just the way I like it, black.
“You may want to get dressed,” Alexander said, eyeing my stomach. I pulled up the sheet.
“Why? Clothes are so restricting,” I said. There was no point in getting dressed. I needed to avoid Grey as long as possible. She would be pissed.

It felt like I had been submerged under water. I was suffocating.
“How could you leave her?” I managed to get the question out of my mouth.
“Genette didn’t tell me she was pregnant. I didn’t even know about Lucy until she was five. By then I figured it was too late,” Alexander said a look of pain was in his face.
“It’s never too late, Alexander,” I said, angered by the fact he would just give that magnificent child up.
“It was at the time. I didn’t know where she was, and the...

I sat on a black, leather couch, starring at the deep blue walls. I was in Alexander’s office, for my appointment. I’d come here straight from the cathedral. My hair was tangled, and messy. I still wore plaid pajama bottoms, and an old, gray tee shirt.
I came to a realization last night. Today, I would make my move. I have done enough to hold my own. Now I could be happy…Maybe.
I debated whether, or not I should tell Alexander about Lucy. Dr. Anozi would’ve liked the idea, but I’m not sure about Dr. Laveney.

I stroll down Western Avenue with a blue coin purse in my fragile hands. People in every direction as far as the eye can see. Neighbors being neighborly, store keepers selling and people riding the subway to work. Today happens to be a Saturday morning. And as usual, I awaken in the morning at six o'clock and dress. Every Saturday morning is the same old thing. I turn to the corner seeing the store I've been looking for. Roosevelt Island Shop. Yes. Indeed I live on the island of Roosevelt Island. It's very exhilirating to walk in the streets of our state of New York. As I enter the small shop,...

Grey pulled away from the house. I sat inside on the couch. Our house had deep brown walls, and light brown hard-wood floors. There were knick-knacks everywhere. Pictures of Grey’s family hung on the walls. None of mine, though, I prefer to keep mine in my suitcase.
It may seem odd, but I keep all my belongings in my suitcase. I’m afraid if I unpack something bad will happen.
The brown couch I sat on, and musty smell of the house grew old on me. I walked outside to the front porch. It was one of the nice, white, wrap-around...

Maybe he would like to see a real woman for once instead of a little pathetic nobody like you." Something inside of me just burst into flames. Early in the afternoon. All of my sisters and her friends are so excited about this trip to an actual wild forested area in Africa. I'm kinda on the fence about it, and I'm trying to start my own pool to see if my sister and her friends will spaz out before they set foot on real jungle grass. He he. It's going to be so hilarious watching these spoiled rich brats take a look at a place without electricity, room-service, houses, pluming, and money usage. It's a high-heel free zone, and they're still wearing those screaming sequined death traps that their so-called "natural born perfected" feet...

The two figures walked silently in unity, their feet trudging through the high snow. Both their faces were wet with tears, and the girl clutched a bundle of bright red roses. They stopped immediately in front of a strong iron gate beside a small cozy church, adorned with brilliant Christmas lights, and inside voices sang in chorus to familiar Christmas songs.
They both stared beyond, unsure of whether to go in or not. The red-headed boy made his decision first and leaned on the gate, crying into his hands. The girl seemed unable to look at him, and her gaze was locked by a white marble tombstone...

I woke up to a gloomy day. The reaping. I sigh, and get out of bed. I get dressed in a blue dress. I look into the mirror. My mom comes into the room, and braids my black hair.
