He looked her over, examining her scars and scrapes. There wasn't too much, except the wound in her back. He put a salve on it and wrapped it up.
“Not too tight!” Cat hissed.
“Sorry.”
He lowered her shirt and came around to face her. She had several scrapes and would end up with a scar across her cheek. Other than that, there was little other damage.
“Way to go warrior. Zero would be proud.”
Cat smiled a little and looked down at her hands.
“I heard Alex again.”
“Really? What'd he say?”
“He told me to prepare. But I don't know what.”
“Sounds like you'll be on an adventure soon.”
“Maybe.”
An instant flash of blazing light stopped all conversations. It passed within seconds, and they looked to where Becca lay with her head in Devin's lap. Cat got up and ran over, Terror close behind.
“Is she okay?” Erin asked.
“She's fine. Just regaining her strength.”
They all released a sigh of relief.
“So it's over?”
“Yes. All over.”
“What do we do about those two?” Tara cocked her head at Teague and Amber.
“I have a place they can stay,” Terror said.
“Okay. They'll go with Terror.”
“Can we go?”
“Yes.”
Erin looked at Sam.
“Wanna test my speed over your suits tech?”
“You're on.”
The two took off and then Terror took the two villains.
“I'll be right back Cat.”
She nodded before he carried the two into the shadows. Becca sat up, eyes focusing.
“I can take you home, Tara.”
“You sure?”
“Yeah. Just give me a minute.”
Devin pulled some mint out of her pouch.
“Here. This will help.”
Becca did as told and was able to regain her composure soon enough. Terror came back and the five all looked at each other.
“You gonna be okay Becca?” Cat asked.
“Yeah. I'll be fine.”
“Okay.”
Becca stood and took Tara's hand. Then she teleported away. Fang stood and grabbed Devin, holding her close but careful of her wound. She looked at him, her eyes sending special messages to him.
“C'mon Cat. Let's get home.”
Terror picked her up and Cat cuddled against him.
“Can we see Scott and get cookies first?”
Terror smiled at her.
“We can do those things once you're rested.”
“But...”
“No.”
“Fine.”
Terror smiled and Fang took off as Terror walked into the shadows.
