It has been confirmed at last! Cartoon Network has confirmed the return of the DC Nation Block on January 5, 2013. This means new episodes of Young Justice: Invasion and Green Lantern: The Animated Series.
As we recently discovered, Young Justice Invasion went on it's fourth hiatus after only airing two episodes, not because of Cartoon Network, but because DC Comics and DC Nation lost the rights to some of the character's on the show at the last minute. (Static Shock, Wonder Twins, Rocket, etc.)
The cancellation was so sudden that the episode that was supposed to air (Before the Dawn) was released on iTunes and quickly rose to #1 Most Downloaded.
Young Justice, which was rated #20 Greatest Comic-Book Show of All Time by IGN in December of 2011, has given it's voice actor's their reputations from voicing on the show. It is rumored that Stephanie Lemelin only appeared on Bones due to her relationship to the show.
Young Justice holds a steady 9/10 on IMDb and has been critically acclaimed for it's complex and mature plotline. Other than the famous anime "Teen Titans" series (which will be joining Young Justice Invasion on DC Nation in 2013) many of the characters such as Tempest (Aqualad in TT), Beast Boy, Kid Flash, and Speedy are only making their second appearance. Others, such as Rocket, Wondergirl, Aquagirl, and Impulse are making their first appearance ever. Young Justice is also the second show to ever feature a cameo of Jason Todd (Robin II) (The other being Batman: Under the Red Hood).
Young Justice also won an Emmy for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation.
Young Justice Invasion returns to DC Nation and Cartoon Network next year (January 5,) with all new episodes. Here is the episode schedule for DC Nation:
