Love Will Find a Way

{Scene switches back to Pride Rock. Atem is standing at the tip of the
promontory, staring off into the distance.}

MANA:
Father... please reconsider!

ATEM:
You will not go anywhere without an escort from now on.


MANA:
No! That's not--

ATEM:
He used you to get to me!

MANA:
No! He loves me... for me!

ATEM:
Because you are my daughter! You will not leave Pride Rock. You will
stay where I can keep an eye on you... away from him.

MANA:
You don't know him!

ATEM:
I know he's following in Bakura's footprints... and I must follow in my
father's.

MANA:
You will never be Aknamkanon!

{Atem is stung, but silenced... Mana breaks down and runs back to her
bed to lie down, sobbing. She sees a stream of light shining through a
hole in the wall. Determined, she pushes her way through the wall, then
runs down away from Pride Rock, searching for Yugi. She tracks the same
path Yugi took while fleeing Pride Rock, but cannot find him.}


MANA:
Yugi? Yugi...

{She walks through the stream Yugi walked through, looking down at her
reflection. Curiously, only half of her body is clear. She continues
looking through a cave, calling his name}

MANA:
Yugi...

[ Love Will Find a Way ]

{The song is sung by voice-overs. Mana reflects on Yugi and their time
together, all they have seen and been through.}

MANA:
In a perfect world
One we've never known
We would never need to face the world alone

They can have the world
We'll create our own
I may not be brave or strong or smart

{Mana looks up at the sky, seeing their rabbit and two people in the
sky, remembering}

{She moves to a log overhanging the stream. She sits down on it,
depressed. When she opens her eyes and peers at her reflection, she
sees that it is, again, only half clear.}

Like dark turning into day

{Mana is sitting on a high knoll, with her head bowed. The scene moves
to Yugi, who is approaching Mana from behind her.}

YUGI:
I was so afraid
Now I realize
Love is never wrong
And so it never dies

{Mana turns and notices Yugi.}

Shining in your eyes

MANA and YUGI:
And if only they could feel it too
The happiness I feel with you

{They come together and nuzzle lovingly.}

{Two butterflies flutter around Yugi and Mana. Yugi brightens up at
the sight of them, and laughing, rushes off after them, with Mana in
pursuit. They cuddle briefly, then catch sight of themselves in a
reflection.}

YUGI:
Hey, look... we are one. {he smiles at Mana}

MANA:
{she smiles back, then realizes what Yugi just said and looks shocked}
What?

YUGI:
Let's get outta here. We'll run away together! And start a kingdom... all
our own.
MANA:
{chuckles} Yugi... we have to go back.

YUGI:
You're kidding. But we're finally together!

MANA:
Our place is with our kingdom. If we run away, they'll be divided
forever.

{Yugi considers, but doesn't seem entirely convinced.}

YUGI:
Race you back!

{They run off together, laughing.}
