Sunshine burst through the one window in my room. i rubbed my eyes and i looked to my left to see my bed-side table. But it wasnt the table i was focusing on, it was what was on it. It was a note. And it was under my mother's neclace and a blue flower. It was probably from Aang. He's such a sweet kid.
i took my mother's neclace and put it on and then i took my clothes that were laying on a chair and put them on too. i took the flower and the note off my bed-side table and i read it aloud: "Why?" was all it said. Now i know it couldnt be from Aang. i didnt say anything to him yesterday that would deserve a 'why'. Then i knew who it was from.
i took the note and the flower and headed to the bedroom next-door. i knocked on the door and waited for it to open.
no one answered.
Then after three minutes of waiting, i got a response. Zuko opened the door. "Yes?" he asked. i pushed him out of the way and walked into his room. With the flower and note behind my back i answered his noted question. "Becuase i'm not ready yet. i'm too confused! i told you this last night!" Zuko looked cofused and then i lifted up the blue flower and the note.
"Oh," he said. "That." i smiled and nodded. Zuko walked over to me. "Well, i just wanted to know why without asking," he said innocently. i huffed and rolled my eyes. "You already knew why! i dont need to tell you again, do i?"
He looked into my eyes.
We stood there for a few minutes. i looked into his eyes and he looked into mine. i was about to kiss him after the third minute but i stopped myself. "Stop that!" i said to him. Zuko started to laugh. i did too. "Stop what?" he asked. i kept laughing. "Stop doing that to me with your eyes! Everytime you look into mine with them i get hypnotized!" We kept laughing.
"I have to go downstairs and make breakfast or Sokka's gonna be complaining that it wasnt done before he woke up," i said. i ran out of Zuko's room and down the stairs as fast as i could. Then i walked into the kitchen ready to make breakfast. But i wasnt going to do it alone. Zuko came down to help me.

i stood on the long balcony that was attached to Aang's room, Zuko's room, and my room. The sun was now setting. The sky looked orange and pink and the clouds were a very light purple color. Then i heard a door close behind me. i turned and saw it was Aang. "Oh, hey, Katara." i grinned. "Hi, Aang," i said.
"What are you doing out here?" he asked. i shrugged my shoulders. "Just thinking." He stood next to me. "What about?" he said. "Nothing much," i said. We stood there for a few silent minutes. Then Aang spoke. "Katara, i'm worried!" i looked at him. "Why?" i asked.
He began to pace. "What if i dont defeat the Fire Lord? What if i lose? WHAT IF I DIE?!" These were the most insane questions i had ever heard him ask. i took Aang's hand. He stopped pacing. "Aang, you're going to be fine. You can do this! i know you can!" He looked at me then he got closer to me. What is he doing? i thought.
He leaned in closer. He looked into my eyes. "Katara, i love you and nothing in the world will ever keep me from you!" Then he kissed me.
