TadAmu is better than Amuto in every way, there are a few reasons for that...
1. Amu and Tadase are from the same age
2. Tadase is much nicer for Amu than Ikuto
3. Amu loved Tadase since the first episode of the Anime, but actually I've never really saw that Amu liked Ikuto even a little
4. Indeed Tadase had liked Amulet Heart but in episode 74 he said that was because she had maked him kinda 'blind'
