I enjoyed Twilight and am considering the Sookie books, are they very gory? as i prefer them not to be, any other recommendations? are they long reads? always preferable to me. Thanks everyone.

I prefer less gory books and wonder if the 'True Blood' books are very gory? thanks in advance. I loved 'Twilight'-haven't read the rest yet..but will.
