It was a beautiful morning in Jasper National Park. The birds were chirpy, as usual and the alpha wolves were already out hunting for our early meal. The caribou were becoming more scarce as the days and weeks went by. Only about 10 or so in a single herd.

I slowly started to wake up from my sleep. I lifted my head up and looked around my den, noticing that Kate wasn't there.
