I don't know what to say because my dad hunts(deer, hog, turkey) and i always tell him that hunting is wrong but he says that it "helps to maintain a balanced population"(or something like that)
and when i tell him he can get turkey or hog(i think) meat from Publix...he then says that hunting it is healthier to eat...

Hunters respect what they kill more than regular meat-eaters that get their meat from the store. The animals they kill for meat are COMPLETELY free-range. They live long, happy lives in the wild and hunters make sure they are killed humanely. If there were no hunters to thin out the population, people would hit more deer with their cars or animals would die of starvation, which is slow and painful way to die.

You would hate a perfect stranger? Without knowing anything at all about them, other than the fact that they are a hunter? Wow. Talk about prejudice.

I actually support hunting (if it's for food, if it's just for sport I don't) because it's more humane than slaughterhouses, and let's face it people aren't going to just stop eating meat.

I wouldn't like or dislike someone for being a hunter. There are certain forms of hunting I can't support in any way (such as hunting for a sport) but it doesn't mean I'd go against a person for their own decision.

In a similar way, I can't stand anime, but almost all of my closest friends love it! We have other things in common instead, so we can still get along, and that one detail just doesn't matter. That's what having an open mind is all about, and I'm sure glad I didn't diss my friends the second I found out they watched anime, because it turns out they are amazing people!!
