"Are Americans Ready for an Atheist as President?"

An argument against Atheism that I come across on daily basis is, in one or another form, an "empty life" argument. What is the point of life if you don't believe in a God? How can you get up in the morning? But you have to belive in something. Atheists cannot be spiritual. Atheists think love is only chemistry. How can you think people are animals? How can you enjoy art and music? etc.

So why do I get up in the morning? How can I look at something and appreciate it without believing a god made it? Does this mean I don't feel love? What is the point of living if there isn't anything greater...

So recently, I asked the following question on a website:
"I am a 15 year old Atheist, and I'm curious about religion, beliefs, and such. I'm just wondering, to all you people of faith, why do you believe in god?

And I'm not trying to be rude or criticize your beliefs, I'm just curious, and I'd like to hear your point of view.

As I stated in the above question, I was curious about why Christians believe, and I wanted to get some answers from Christians, and see what they had to say.
