Sorry it's been so long guys! I had a lot to do, terribly sorry! Anyways, I hope you like this chapter ^^

Part 5: Zuko

Damn life. I hate this damn life. I wish I was dead.

But instead, I got a scar...cursed kharma
My parents got divorced, and with my luck, my dad got custody of me and my sister, Azula. So my mom had to move far from here.

I haven't seen her in six years.

So far, my life has been a living hell. My sister's a bitch, and my dad's a monster.

Yay me...

How I wish I was someone else...oh how...

I was walking home from school, my sister was a block ahead of me, her friends, Mai and TyLee, surrounded her as if she was a super star.

I just watched them.

Even though I was far from them, I could hear them clearly.
"Azula, aren't you going to wait for your brother?" asked TyLee.
"Pft, no! Might as well just wait for a snail, since they're both equal in speed." my sister teased.
"Oh." TyLee replied.
She looked back at me, then turned to Azula.
"How did he get that scar?" she asked her.
"In a pretty pathetic way, if you ask me," Azula responded. "But if you want to know so much, you should ask him yourself, that is...if he has the guts to say it."
If I had the guts to say it...she knew I wouldn't...and she's right...
The memory that took me so long to forget it, came back to me in a flash...

I was thirteen when it happened...that horrible day.
It was at my uncle's garage, I was still feeling miserable about the divorce, about my life...that I wanted to suicide...
I couldn't take it any longer! My father mistreating me, and my sister belittleing me each passing day. I couldn't take it.
So I went to the garage; I saw a galon of gasoline sitting at the corner of the room, I took it, opened the top, and spilled it all over the place. Then, I took out a box of matches from a drawer, I lit it, and I threw it on the ground.
In an instance, the whole garage was set on fire. I just stood there, looking at it, waiting for it to engulge me, to bring me to my death.
The room was getting hotter, but I didn't care, as long as I was going to die...I was fine.
But my plan crumbled down when I heard someone opening the door.
"ZUKO!" my uncle, Iroh, screamed.
I turned around, and that's when it happened.
I got burned on the face.
That's how I got my scar.
I ended up at the hospital, the doctor said that I could have gotten killed if my uncle didn't save me. He said that I would have that scar forever. I tear rolled down my cheek, but it wasn't because of the fact I'd be stuck with the scar; it was for the fact that I didn't die...
That I would still be living my life, my dreadful life.

"Zuko, wake up! We're here!" my sister barked at me.
I snapped out of my memory, and I was looking at the front steps of my house.
I let out a heavy sigh.
"Bye, girls!" my sister called out.
"Bye, Azula!" TyLee called back cheerfully, waving at my sister and I.
"Bye." mumbled Mai.
And the two of them left.
I looked back at the front steps of my house. How I wish this wasn't my home.
Azula was already at the door, unlocking it. She got in and closed the door behind her.
I stood there for a couple of seconds, then I got in.
To my surprise, she didn't lock the door behind her. Usually, when she was mad that I didn't get in right away, she would lock me out. And those were the days when I would forget my house keys.
"Wow, Zuko, it took you only 6 seconds to get in after Azula!" my father, Ozai, mentioned, while he was setting the table for dinner. "I guess your retardness is curing, slowly however."
I just stared at him; wishing that I could punch him in the face.
But instead, I just went to my room.

****

"Zuko! Dinner!" Azula yelled from the kitchen.
Four hours had passed, and I was still in my room, laying on my bed.
The raido was on, and loud, but it didn't cover the sound of my sister's voice.
I let a couple of minutes pass, then I unwillingly got up from my room and went to the kitchen.
It was quiet in the kitchen, as usual. I sat down and ate.
"How was school, Azula?" my father asked my sister.
"It was great! I had a wonderful time!" responded Azula.
"And how are your grades, Azula?" he asked again.
"Excellent as always, father!" Azula answered him.
"And your Volleyball game?" he asked her again.
"We won first place!" answered Azula.
"and how about Cheerleading?" my father asked her.
"I was promoted Captain!" Azula answered with pride.
"Excellent, Azula!" my father exclaimed. "I am very proud of you!"
"Zuko's failing, however." Azula mentioned. "He has failed in every single class, recieved detention twice from English and Algebra class, and we lost a Soccer game because of him!"
Azula glared at me when she finished, I just kept eating.
"Figures." my father replied. "Since he is a failure himself."
I stopped eating.
"That silly attempt of suicide was even more pathetic!" my father chortled.
Azula chuckled to herself.
I gripped on my fork.
"Look at him, getting all angry." my father teased. "Pathetic! You were just lucky to be born! Your just a weak little bastard!"
I got up from my seat and marched out of the kitchen.
"Come back here and finish your dinner!" My father ordered.
I ignored him.
"ARE YOU DEAF? COME BACK HERE AND EAT!" my father yelled.
I slammed the door of my bedroom shut.
I turned up the volume really loud on my radio; I got my bookbag and I stuffed it with my cloths, CDs, magazines, and my iPod.
I zipped it up; as I was about to grab my black hoodie jacket, my father slammed the door open and walked right in.
"Haven't you heard of knocking?" I asked him, sarcastically.
He slapped my right across the face; I fell on my bed.
"What do you think your doing?" he asked me with anger in his voice.
"I'm leaving." I answered, as I got up from my bed. "And I'm not coming back."
My father bellowed with laughter.
"And where are you suppose to go?" he asked laughing.
I thought for a moment.
"Well, to my uncle's--"
"PLEASE! Your uncle? HAH! Might as well just live on the streets!" my father laughed. "You're just like him, PATHETIC! Your just a weakling, a pathetic weakingling with no where to go!"
"SHUT UP!" I yelled.
To my surprise, he got quiet. He raised an eyebrow at me, then sneered.
"Fine. Leave! This house is better off without you anyways!" my father said. "But don't you think of coming back! You're banished from this house!"
I swung my boog across my shoulder.
"I won't." I said.
I left my room and headed for the front door. I felt a tugg on my arm; it was Azula, she was holding on to me.
"Zuko, don't go!" she demmanded. "Your going to regret! Apologize to father! It'll all be just a misunderstanding!"
She must of heard the whole thing. I yanked my arm from her grip.
"Let go of me!" I snapped. "Wasn't I the snail to you?"
She just frowned at me, but I turned away from her and left the house.
I started to walk away from it.
One block...two blocks...
I was heading towards my uncle's house, a few blocks away from my house...my old house...
Three blocks...four blocks...
At long last, I'm finally away from that house! From the house in which I was always ignored, always belittled, always treated like a failure.
Five blocks...six blocks...
I was getting tired of that life, that damn old life...I want a fresh start.

And so I will.

Now I stand in front of Uncle Iroh's house...my new house...

I finished the series a while ago, and while I truly love Avatar, I did have some problems with the ending, and I decided to write an article about them. Here they are:

To begin with, I’ll say the thing that we all hated: Zukos’ line in the final episode “Where is my mother?” You NEVER end a series with a cliffhanger, unless you’re planning to make a sequel that doesn’t begin 70 years later.

My next problem is more of an opinion. When Zuko first joined their group, Katara hated him because she associated her mothers’ death with him. When Zuko helps her ‘avenge’ her, they start...
