The only thing's in this picture I'm happy to see the back of are Riley and Dawn!
As soon as I heard about this idea I went into automatic fan-rage mode, and part of me is still itching to get into another rant, so please excuse any spelling or grammatical errors, they are the result of 40% of my attention going towards holding back more ranting.

So, in the spirit of the logical, bias free attitude I will almost certainly have completely abandoned by the next paragraph, I'll start by saying that legally they have every right to do this, and that if ever there was a good time to make money of a Buffy movie it's now. The thing is, and I say this not as a fan, but as someone who has enough basic common sense to at least match a cactus, even if they do care about nothing but making money surely they can see this isn't the way to go? In one day they have managed to annoy every single Buffy fan I know into saying they will boycott.

Even if it wasn't for the fact that this movie seems to have no respect for the creator, character or fans I doubt many fans would be interested anyway. This is Buffy without everything that made it great. Joss and the amazing writers he chose, the cast who understood the roles and brought them to life with great skill, and most importantly the supporting characters, the entire universe the fans fell in love with. They've put themselves in the strange position of rebooting something that depends heavily on it's loyal core fanbase for success and alienating almost the entire loyal core fanbase while doing it. Since I'm sure they were aware how fans would react I guess this movie is aimed at people who've never seen Buffy but would watch any vampire movie right now because it's in vogue. There are people out there who fit that description, and I hope enough of them become aware of the fans reaction either by article, blog or the incessant whining of a friend who loves Buffy and it becomes clear that there's no point in doing this movie because nobody wants it. For those who say we can't be sure till the movie is made that it will suck go watch the original Buffy movie, now imagine it without the tiny bits of Joss that managed to squeeze through, come back look me in the eye (well..screen) and tell me you're not certain this movie will stink. In fact, to quote a friend of mine this movie is going to suck more than a vacuum cleaner full of leeches.

One thing I wish is that people would stop saying to me 'well we can't hate on the Kuzuis, even if the original movie sucked we wouldn't have the show without it' because I don't see how their crappy movie enabling an amazing show is relevant to not wanting them to make another crappy movie. To me that's like if some moron kicked you in the nuts really hard, so you went to the hospital and while you were there fell in love with and married a hot nurse, then years later the same guy calls you and says "hey buddy, I'm on my way over to kick you in the nuts again" are you happy? grateful? peeved, but decide to let it slide because the original nut-kicking let you meet your hot wife? No, you're freaked out and angry because some jackass wants to kick you in the nuts! The fact that the first movie led to the tv show doesn't mean I'm not mad at the thought of them doing another movie that will inevitably be even worse than the original without any input from Joss, that they are unashamedly doing for money without any regard for the character or the fans (wow, I slipped back into rant mode impressively quickly, didn't I?)

So, to sum up: I found it literally impossible to talk about this without getting pissed and ranty because it's such a bad idea. Hopefully the fan outcry will make them realise that really nobody, including them, will benefit from this. The character's reputation will be damaged, the movie will suck, the fans will be mad and the franchise (which they still make money off) could be harmed. I know after seeing the original movie I was really reluctant to see the show, so after another awful movie I'm sure some potential fans will judge the show on the movie and be put off.

What I hope will happen is that this thing never gets made. If it does I should hope it does ok, so at least it's not a stain on Buffy's reputation, but you know what? I'm still too bitter about it to wish it well, so if it turns out this is going to happen what I'd really love is for Joss to make a Fray or Buffy (or really any slayer centric) movie, release it on the same day and enjoy a hearty giggle when absolutely nobody goes to the 'unofficial' Buffy. I know that's not what will happen, but it would be my best case scenario. Second best is that they by some miracle make a movie that's not painfully bad or that it goes straight to DVD and is completely ignored.

"One day, the campus is completely bare, empty. The next, there are children everywhere...like locusts. Crawling around, mindlessly bent on feeding and mating. Destroying everything in sight in their relentless, pointless desire to exist"

"That Summers girl--I smell trouble. I smell expulsion, and just the faintest aroma of jail."

"A lot of educators tell students, 'Think of your principal as your pal.' I say, think of me as your judge, jury, and executioner"

"It's worth nothing, Harris. Whatever comes out of your mouth is a meaningless waste of breath, an airborne toxic event."

"What would Sunnydale High do without you around to incite mayhem, chaos, and disorder?"

"This isn't an orgy, people. It's a classroom"

"These are moments you want to savor. You wish time would stop so that you could live them over and over again. You're expelled"

Hey BuffyVerse & AngelVerse fans,

You may know that I put a new event that give you all the opportunity to write your very own FanFiction. I created a forum called link. Also for some people that saw my orginal idea that I tried my best on creating a Spuffy FanFiction but didn't work. So with The Scoobies Awards that the lovely ArabellaElfie designed for all fans to nominate there favorites from Both shows. With great success of that, Katie (ArabellaEflie) agreed that its time for FanFiction.

IDEAS

1) Pick a couple/slash couple, the timeline can be anywhere or the finals give you a little...
